Meliá is one of the most spectacular hotels I have ever stayed at. Its location, services, and hospitality are all of the highest standard. The atmosphere at the rooftop bar is perfect for a moment of complete relaxation, offering breathtaking and unforgettable views of Vienna. If you want to truly experience the heart of Vienna, this is the place to stay. Every aspect of this hotel exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it with complete confidence. I will definitely return! Congratulations, Meliá team!!

Disappointing experience, not suitable for a romantic stay I booked a room at Meliá Vienna in advance for an important special occasion. On the morning of my check-in, I received a call from a manager informing me that my room would not be available due to a problem with the bathtub. The only alternative offered was a lower-category room. This was extremely disappointing and, unfortunately, already spoiled the mood of my celebration before I had even arrived. I chose this hotel mainly because of its location and the promise of beautiful panoramic views. In reality, the view from the room was not impressive at all. Even worse, the panoramic windows throughout the hotel were noticeably dirty, which made the overall impression quite poor. It even seemed that the staff prepared the room with the curtains closed so guests would not immediately notice how dirty the windows were. Overall, this may be an acceptable hotel for a short business trip, but nothing more. It is definitely not suitable for a romantic stay or a special occasion. The Meliá Level concept also felt very poorly executed: no real priority check-in or check-out, very limited amenities, and nothing that felt special or premium. Everything felt rather plain, uninspiring, and disappointing. I cannot recommend this hotel for a special or romantic stay.
I cannot start telling you about this amazing hotel. I loved the room how special it was. We got coffee. We got chocolates every day when they make our rooms and the attention at the Lobby and all the staff in the hotel was completely unbelievable. Loved Melia loved the view from the hotel. Also the people at the bar were completely kind polite also provide recommendations on what to drink and we really appreciate the hospitality that we received at Amelia I would go back 100 times thanks a lot.
It is the first time I book this hotel in Vienna. I have experience with Melia in other countries and had never been disappointed. This one doesn't differ: I was welcomed warmly by the staff, had very nice spacious room with tub. The breakfast is fantastic. At the bar one can always chat with the nice barkeeper and can taste the tap beer. This way I made my choice and don't regret - the beer was very good. Fast and reliable WiFi. Strategic placed next to the Vienna International Center, the underground and bus stations and the bars at the Danube river coast. Highly recommend it!
I am sharing my experience at Meliá Vienna to help other travellers make an informed decision. This stay was booked at a premium rate with expectations consistent with a five-star hotel. Unfortunately, several aspects of the experience did not reflect that standard. From arrival, the service experience was inconsistent. Interactions with reception and concierge were often impersonal and at times lacked the attentiveness expected in a hotel of this category. Throughout the stay, operational issues were present: – Delayed or unanswered calls to reception and room service – Inconsistent housekeeping – Lack of attention to detail in room maintenance In addition, the physical condition of the room and certain areas of the hotel did not meet expectations for a property positioned as luxury. I have documented this with photographs showing visible carpet staining, wall marks, and worn interior finishes. These are not isolated issues but part of an overall pattern of underperformance relative to the standard advertised. It is important to note that one part of the experience did meet a high standard: the 57th floor restaurant, Altia Restaurant by Urrechu, where service and quality were significantly better than the rest of the property. After raising concerns during and after the stay, including escalation to Head Office, the proposed resolution did not reflect the seriousness of the issues reported or the price paid. This review is shared factually and supported by photographic evidence, with the intention of helping future guests set realistic expectations when booking at premium rates.
