We booked a 4-star hotel, so we expected a reasonable standard of service and facilities. Unfortunately, our experience has been disappointing. We would like to raise the following concerns: 1.Long waiting time at reception: Upon arrival, we had to wait approximately 3 hours at reception before receiving our rooms. 2.No refrigerator or complimentary water: There was no refrigerator in the rooms, and not even a bottle of drinking water was provided. 3.Insufficient ironing facilities: There was no iron or ironing board available in the rooms. When we asked reception for an iron, we were told that the entire hotel has only 15 irons, which is clearly insufficient for the number of guests. 4.Poor-quality hand wash: The hand-wash gel had an unpleasant smell resembling pure ghee, making it uncomfortable to be used. 5.Poor bathroom drainage: The water drainage in the bath/shower area is extremely slow, causing water to accumulate. 6.Mold/fungus in the bathroom: We noticed black spots of fungus/mold on the bathroom ceramic, which raises serious concerns about cleanliness and hygiene. 7 Industrial fruit juices: The fruit juices served appear to be industrial/processed rather than fresh or natural, which is disappointing for a hotel of this category. 8.Poor Wi-Fi: The Wi-Fi connection is very slow inside the rooms and even in the lobby, making it difficult to use properly. Considering that this is advertised and booked as a 4-star hotel, we expected significantly better standards of cleanliness, facilities, service, and guest comfort. We kindly request that management investigate these issues and provide an appropriate response and solution. We also hope that these matters will be addressed promptly for the benefit of current and future guests. Thank you.

We stayed there for 4 nights. The location is very convenient, as it is very close to Westbahnhof station and also to tram stops that provide easy access to many areas of the city. The room was good, but there was some misunderstanding regarding the cleaning service. You have to request it yourself (there is a procedure where you scan a QR code, choose the day, etc.). Apart from the towels being replaced, the room was cleaned on the last day of our stay. The room had some pencil marks on certain areas, and when we arrived on the first day there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke, even though the room is supposed to be non-smoking (I noticed cigarette butts outside the window). Obviously, this is not the hotel's fault, but it would be good for them to be aware of it. The bathroom is spacious, but in my opinion the bathtub and the tiles are a little... old-fashioned. The breakfast is excellent, with a wide variety of options to suit all tastes. I would also like to mention that, because we arrived earlier than the check-in time, we left our luggage at the hotel, and we did the same after checking out on the day of our departure. The staff were very helpful and accommodating with everything we asked for. The hotel will definitely be among our choices for our next visit to Vienna.
Extremely disappointing experience – not suitable for families with children Unfortunately, our stay at ARCOTEL Wimberger Vienna was an extremely negative experience from the moment we arrived. We booked this hotel based on the information, photos and room description provided on Booking.com. We were travelling with two children, including our 7-month-old baby, and we informed the hotel in advance that we needed a baby cot. Despite this, when we arrived late at night after a long journey, the baby cot was not prepared. The situation became extremely stressful because there was no safe sleeping arrangement available for our baby. The room did not correspond to the description we booked. The room was advertised with a double bed, but in reality there were two separate single beds. We had to move the two beds together ourselves because there was no proper double bed as advertised. However, after putting them together, there was a dangerous gap between the beds, which was a serious concern because of our small child. During the night, the beds kept moving apart, making the sleeping arrangement unsafe and extremely uncomfortable. The most unacceptable part of this experience was that we were left alone with this situation during the night. We arrived around midnight after a long journey with two children, including a 7-month-old baby, and instead of resting, we had to spend the night trying to solve basic sleeping arrangements. Since midnight, I have been holding my baby in my arms because there was no safe place for her to sleep. We were completely exhausted after travelling, but we received no effective help or solution during the night. Leaving a family with a small baby in such conditions is completely unacceptable. Instead of being able to rest before continuing our journey, we spent hours dealing with a problem that should never have happened in a properly prepared hotel room. Before our arrival, communication with the hotel gave us the impression that our requests had been taken into consideration. Unfortunately, the reality was completely different — nothing was prepared for our baby and the room conditions did not match what was promised. The difference between what was advertised and what was actually provided caused us significant stress, exhaustion and disappointment. We expected a comfortable and safe stay, especially as a family travelling with small children. Unfortunately, ARCOTEL Wimberger Vienna failed to provide even the basic conditions that were expected from a hotel of this standard. We cannot recommend this hotel to families with babies or young children. Our experience was extremely disappointing and unacceptable.
Did not have a fantastic experience at this hotel. Especially considering its displayed as a 4 star hotel on websites like expedia. We arrived late Friday night (I sent them a message the day before letting them know we were driving in after work). When we arrived at the desk I waited probably 15 minutes for anyone who worked there to materialize. When we checked in he informed me that parking was 32 euros (do not pay this there are cheaper garages in the area if you dont mind a cheap walk) per day and that breakfast was between 630-1030am. I will admit the beds were comfortable but the room was very plain and boring. Not very luxurious. It was very hot the days we were there and the AC unit started creating condensation that got water all over the floor in the bathroom. Informed the desk before we left for the day, when we returned the water was gone but the air wasn't running so the room was really hot. After running the air again the next day the water started dripping again. The last morning before we checked out we went down for breakfast at like 1005am we were informed breakfast was finished. Apparently they stop breakfast at 1000 during the week at 1030 on weekends but no one informed us of this difference when we checked in.
Reserved a double room with a friend of mine, so when we arrived in the afternoon and saw the beds pushed together with a single blanket, we asked for an extra one. Didn't receive it until we got back to the hotel at 22:30 and had to ask a second time. The room itself was nice, with comfortable beds and clean, well-equipped bathroom. Although water pressure was lacking and there was no view from the windows, it was quiet all night despite being on a busy road.
