Excellent service from the people in the front desk, to the breakfast area, housekeeping and every single person in Almanac Palais Vienna! Beautiful hotel, with nice environment, minimal, quiet, at the center of everything! Walking distance to the majority of the sites and museums of the city! Especially Fin was very attentive with his outstanding and warm attitude! Every single moment he was genuinely kind! It was a joy to be greeted by Fin every single morning! A true gem in this hotel!

Recently stayed at the Almanac. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in thus far. Really enjoyed the service, the architecture/rooms, and the art that you’ll find within the hotel. Renovated from an old building — this place has a great mix of modernity (gym, sauna) while keeping the building’s heritage. Special shoutout to the staff for making the stay lovely. Breakfast was also amazing!
Fantastic hotel. Great location near the park and 20 min walks from museums, opera and many other beautiful historical buildings of Vienna. Spa and swimming pool were clean and beautiful. Service was absolutely fantastic. People were very friendly, amicable and professional. The food in the restaurant was very fancy and "nouvelle cuisine", which is rather small portions. It s overall a great 5 stars hotel
Overall, I had a pleasant stay in the Almanac Palais, however, the room was a big minus. The overall experience was positive, with a beautiful entry hall, a wonderful art gallery, great spa facilities and pool, and a good gym with all the required equipment. The service was good with a kind staff; I really appreciated the decoration of the hotel, which is, for me, its biggest strength. It is perfectly located to enjoy the city centre of Vienna by walk, loved this. However, the deluxe room was a big minus. The room had a toilet door that could not close; there was no water pressure coming from the showerhead, so it was unusable. Even though the hotel was fairly new, the room showed numerous signs of wear and tear: marks on the closet doors, curtains that were already damaged, and a broken bedside reading lamp with just a hole in it and wires sticking out. I was quite disappointed with my stay because of this. Breakfast was good—not exceptional, with a fairly limited buffet—but acceptable nonetheless. The bar offers great service and excellent cocktails, and the internet connection is very good, allowing you to work without any problems from your room.
We checked into the Almanac Palais for a two night stay at the end of June during the largest heat wave Europe has ever faced. Upon entering our room it smelled of sewage and the air conditioning was not on. After turning the air conditioning on it ultimately turned off after a few minutes. We had someone sent up to check it out and were told to keep the air setting turned on the highest fan setting which we already did. The air conditioning never did work so we asked for a fan to be sent up and it promptly was. Our room, (501) we discovered, is also situated above what appears to be a utility closet/ stairwell for the staff and we were constantly woken up through out the night and well into the morning by stomping that can only be compared to people ballroom dancing above us. We also booked massages which were nice besides the fact that several children could be heard screaming the entire time from the pool area. While I understand that the pool is open to families, it is in very close proximity to the spa and also apart of the spa and I feel the spa attendant should have handled the situation as guests are paying to receive spa services in the same area. Even my masseuse asked if I had left the pool because it was too loud so everyone was clearly aware of the situation yet nothing was done. Overall the entire stay was lacking and disappointing. I wish we had booked our stay at The Amauris instead.
