We had an awesome time, a really knowledgeable tour guide and were lucky to spot 5 koalas, plenty of wallabies, emus and kangaroos! Would definitely recommend!

We decided to do this spontaneously and were lucky enough to get into the morning tour. This was worth every penny. If you’re looking for an incredible way to experience this stunning area and its wildlife, this is it. We were able to see the local wildlife (so many fascinating creatures!) in their natural habitat while supporting important conservation efforts. If you do one thing on the Great Ocean Road en route to the Twelve Apostles, make it this.
Great experience, the tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. I saw kangaroos, koalas, birds, and a lot of other native wildlife. I also loved that this experience works with wildlife conservation.
Really good value for money tour with knowledgeable guides. The route is not very long but there is plenty to see along the way. A good café for refreshments at the end.
It was an amazing experience, we saw a lot of Koala and another animals. Really recommend!!
We highly recommend (went as a couple) the guided conservationist tour. Was amazing seeing free range native animals like the tasmanian padmelon, koalas, eastern grey kangaroos, swamp wallabies, fairy wren, crimson rosella, yellow Eastern robin, emus, and even an elusive and shy long nosed potoroo! They are doing fantastic conservation projects in the Otways region, and were very kind and knowledgeable. For the price of the private guide conservationist tour we felt it was a very fair price!
Great to see the animals in a natural environment. We saw kangaroos, wallabies, emus, koalas. Very informative, well worth the fee and time.
Saw koalas, kangaroos, emu, wallabies & others. Great experience!
Great set-up, they provide rain jackets in case the weather turns on you. Extremely knowledgeable staff who are happy to answer questions. Saw so many different animals and plants and learnt so much. Close to apollo bay and a perfect morning stop if you are travelling to the apostles.
We enjoyed a good tour with Cherish. She was enthusiastic knowledgeable and answered our questions in a friendly engaging way. We were lucky enough to some koala’s, one close up as well as Wallabies, kangaroos, emu’s. Cherish also told us about the various plants & trees as well as the important conservation work being done. The team at reception & the emu cafe were also friendly and welcoming. Plus the food & beverages were good. Overall we would recommend a visit
Very interesting seeing animals in their own habitat. Beautiful surrounds to walk in. Informative and kind guide.
Wildlife Wonders is a wildlife sanctuary located in a scenic area not far from Apollo Bay. They operate on guided tour model; their goal is to provide a predator-free enclosed conservation area for native animals. Animals are able to roam freely and did not exhibit any fear of our group as we walked through the area. Note that this is not a zoo - animals are not confined, so there are no guarantees as to what animals will be visible during your visit. That being said, we were able to see kangaroos, potoroos, koalas, and emus. The tour lasts 75 minutes, and each person on the tour is provided with a set of binoculars and an earpiece which makes it easier to hear the guide.
A lovely tour around the wildlife reserve. Our guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and pointed out a lot of animals that we would have missed without her! The koalas were sleeping at the tops of the trees, but a lot of other animals were around, so it was really worth doing.
It was a very cool experience ! Amazing scenery and wildlife. Lots of koalas, pademelons and kangaroos.
We had a wonderful time. Our guide Elena was excellent. The enclosure is huge and the animals were in their natural environment. We saw so many species. It was one of our highlights of our time on the Great Ocean Road.
Had a great time, staff really friendly and arranged a shorter tour for me as I have limited mobility. Cherish, our guide, was very informative and told us lots of interesting information about the various animals we saw.
We found the Wildlife Wonders tour by chance as we returned from Cape Otway. A wonderful small wildlife centre with enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides. The site whilst billed as wild, is sensitively enclosed but still providing a taste of the bush for visitors. Provision for hearing and seeing local flora and fauna is good and allows the guide to quickly lead a team of varied and interested tourists of all ages and nationalities. Worth visiting - small Coffee shop and clean loos are plus points too.
We spent a few days on the ocean road but this was the best and most rewarding experience. We saw so many animals close up. The guide was absolutely superb.
We went on a rainy day, wondering if we would see many animals but we saw them all. A great tour guide with brilliant knowledge and radio earpieces means you don't miss anything she says. The Kangaroos even obliged to have a bit of a box! Great stuff in the gift shop as well and very friendly staff. Excellent conversation work they are doing here. Do take the detour from the Great Ocean Road to visit.
A wonderful experience to seel wildlife in a natural setting. Our guide Del, was very friendly, knowledgeable and happy to answer lots of questions.
This was the most wonder experience. I saw lots of wonderful wildlife and learnt so much from the staff with amazing local knowledge
A really lovely experience, our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and had plenty of time for our questions, the walk was interesting and we were fortunate enough to see a number of animals in their own habitats.
We had an amazing tour on Sunday September 28 at 10 AM; our guide, unfortunately I can’t remember her name, was personable, knowledgeable, and very committed to the mission of the company. Would highly recommend!
We visited Wildlife Wonders in Apollo Bay with a group of 11 including kids and had such a great time! The coffee at the café was excellent and the atmosphere so relaxing. The guided tour was amazing, we saw lots of beautiful birds and animals with stunning views of the hills. The team was super friendly and helpful. This was my second visit and I really enjoyed seeing the changes. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our afternoon tour with Sasha. Thanks Erin for your recommendation. The leisurely stroll around the sanctuary provided us with many glimpses of Australian wildlife. 10/10
An extraordinary experience and a visionary initiative. We had a very well-informed guide (Alyssa) who shared her passion with the group. To see potoroos, wallabies, kangaroos, koalas and emus all in their natural environment rather than behind wire, was inspiring. This is an extremely high-quality tour, well worth the money. The information is pitched at an accessible level while backed up by expertise and research. To know that the proceeds go to support the Conservation Ecology Centre is so gratifying. This was by far the highlight of our visit to the Otways.
The guide was excellent and we were lucky enough to see many of the animals on the property, great experience for the whole family.
Cannot recommend this tour enough. It had everything and created memories for our family we will remember forever. As soon as you arrive there is everything you could need to make the experience wonderful. We were beyond appreciative of the kids corner which had things like social stories and calming spaces for our kids to become comfortable with the experience. Things like this are priceless when you have ASD kids in attendance. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much.
An excellent and informative tour- thanks to our guide Sophie - followed by a good lunch. Absolutely a worthwhile experience.
We had Sophie as our guide and she was so knowledgable! She also took her time with our group and answered all of our questions. Learnt a lot and saw many wild life!
A great wildlife walk around this fabulous wildlife reserve. Nicole was a very good guide showing us all the birds and mammals. Really enjoyable and informative. Recommended.
We are 8 friends travelling around Australia whilst supporting the British and Irish Lions Rugby tour. This place caught our attention as it offered the opportunity to see animals in their natural habitat and not enclosures. We were not disappointed. Our guide Erin was very knowledgeable and great fun. She had us all spotting wildlife in no time. There were 16 in our groups and she managed it very well by making sure that we all had the opportunity to see the animals. We saw plenty of koalas, kangaroos, pademelons, emus and wallabies. The wallabies here were a lot happier than those we had seen on the rugby pitch a few days earlier! We ate at the centre and the food was excellent. It was freshly cooked and reasonably priced. I highly recommend this place to see native animals in their natural habitat. All the staff were kind and helpful. The kit they give you is in excellent condition and the boardwalks and pathways are well maintained. This is a great place to visit.
The tour was excellent led by a very enthusiastic guide. She ensured that everyone was able to see the animals we encountered, which included Kangaroos, Wallabies, Koalas, Dolphins, an Emu and Pademelons. We were very pleased that we chose to do this.
A fabulous family experience - loved by all. Especially enjoyed seeing the emus, koalas and so many potoroos! Guide was excellent - very knowledgeable, informative and made the walk special and unique. We all now know how to use both our eyes and sense of smell to sniff out a koala ;) Would highly recommend and the cafe is amazing too!
A treat, we did not expect to like this so much. We saw all kinds of animals and our guide was funny and very knowledgeable. The place has been built and run with love
We visited wildlife wonders with our kids 13 and 15, and an international exchange student. We absolutely loved it. It is a not for profit, so all $ goes to research and supporting the wildlife. Our guide, Sophie is a highly qualified scientist who provided us with a lot of very interesting knowledge about the animals and environment. We saw koalas, pademelons, wallabies, emus, and kangaroos. It is such a beautiful sanctuary too, with gorgeous views. Would highly recommend.
What a fantastic afternoon!! Three days before our tour we were emailed with a weather warning that our tour may need to be moved due to high winds. After some very prompt emails from Wildlife Wonders there was a confirmed change to the date and time, and we are so glad they could accommodate us. The tour was amazing, Sophie our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. She was able to answer all our group's questions and shared excellent facts about both the animals and habitats. We felt enough time was spent in each area to fully appreciate the flora and fauna without feeling rushed. Sophie also shared wider local knowledge of wildlife and her advice was spot on. Thank you to all the team, what a fantastic afternoon.
Highlight of our Great Ocean Road trip was Wildlife Wonders! Sasha was our guide and she was so knowledgeable, enthusiastic and informative. We had a great time learning about the conservation efforts, controlled burns to promote good land management and promote native plant growth and looking for animals which we saw so many!!! Our trip to Australia would not have been complete had we not taken this tour.air sure you don’t miss this tour!!
As a large group comprising of multiple families with toddlers through to seniors we enjoyed a wonderful, leisurely stroll amongst the Australian Flora and Fauna indigenous to the Cape Otway area. Erin, our guide was very knowledgeable and patient with the many questions from the kids. Afterwards we enjoyed a lovely lunch at the cafe. Will certainly recommend to family and friends.
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour, definitely a highlight of our visit to the Great Ocean Rd. Our guide Sasha was fantastic, very knowledgeable and made the whole experience great fun. We were very fortunate to see a lot of wildlife including pademelons, koalas and emus and even wedge tail eagles. Good value. Would highly recommend
Wonderful tour. We understood that seeing animals could be a bit unpredictable but we ended up seeing quite a lot of different animals and birds. The guide was very knowledgeable and genuinely excited when espying something new. Highly recommended and would go again, next time possibly on the dawn tour.
We really enjoyed our visit with a very knowledgeable guide. It was nice to see various animals we hadn't seen before, but also to hear more about their behaviour and habitat. A hightlight for us on the Great Ocean Road, so we thoroughly recommend.
What a lovely place. We had a tour with Zoe, she was excellent she knew her stuff and provided a nice touch of humour. She also kept our group in check when someone went off the track for a photograph! The area is brilliant loads of wildlife to spot and nice w shade a chance to spot before Zoe helped us out. Would highly recommend as an essential stop if doing the Great Ocean Road or in Apollo Bay.
We felt that this tour was over priced for the animals that you saw. Emus, wallabies and Kangaroos were observed as well as several Koalas were very high in the trees. Our guide did a great job but for almost $60 each, not good value. Half that would be appropriate.
I went to wildlife wonders today and found the whole experience amazing- as an Australian I have never seen so much native wildlife up so close- the animals were not scared of us humans in this fabulous safe haven that has been created here. I saw baby potaroos in pouches- only days old- incredible Definitely recommend Pettina Haub
The walk was informative and we got to see many animals in their natural habitat. There were kangaroos, wombat, emu, koala and more. A real treat.
Food at cafe was fabulous and we saw wildlife within 5 minutes of our tour up close. The guide was informative and our small group had an excellent walk - would highly recommend for personal pleasure and to support the protection of Aussie wildlife and land!
Wonderful outdoor walk and close-up views of emus, potteroos, pademelons in their natural environment, audio and informed commentary from our delightful guide via headphones was excellent, we could hear clearly no matter your position in the group, highly recommend if you are in the Otways
Fantastic experience with Naomi as our conservation guide. We were lucky to see lots of animals in their natural habitat including kangaroos, pademelons, koalas, long neck turtles and rare cockatoos. Naomi was an excellent guide . The cafe was good and all staff were lovely and friendly. A wonderful experience. Thank you
This is such a special and amazing place. Loved every minute of it and the guide was creating such magical wildlife wonder moments. Together with all the creatures of course.
