A nice opportunity to get out on a boat in Phillip Bay. We did see some dolphins quite near to the boat and Chinaman’s hat gave us an excellent opportunity to see Australian Gannets building their nests with pied cormorants looking on. There were also many fur seals on and around Chinaman’s hat which was amazing to see. I was disappointed in the audio messaging - it was not audible in the cabin area and I felt there could have been a bigger effort to educate those of us that were not snorkeling about the history and nature in the area. While I had hoped the 3 hr cruise would have given us more opportunities to see and learn, I believe if I was to do it again I would choose the 1.5 hour cruise where the sightseers would likely be more valued.

! Our family had an absolutely fantastic time on this dolphin sightseeing cruise! From start to finish, the experience was enjoyable and well-organized. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and informative, sharing interesting facts about the marine life and making sure everyone had a great time. We were lucky enough to see multiple pods of dolphins playing in the water, which was an incredible sight, and we even spotted some seals! The whole experience was breathtaking, and we couldn’t have asked for a better outing. If you’re looking for a fun and memorable adventure, we highly recommend this cruise!
Overall a beautiful day out on Port Phillip Bay. We did see dolphins, seals and various birds at Pope Marine Park. Boat arrived late, as in 30 minutes, despite us getting numerous messages to be there at 11.45am.
The view was amazing. We took so many pictures and my little one was really happy coz he said mum boat was really fast. We enjoyed a lot and we will visit again……
Irresponsible team, called many times, sent voice message 2 hours before depart, looking for support but never heard from them. We missed our trip. I believe at least they have to be respond. We paid for it. Customer Service is zero.
3hr tour of the bay and got to see seals and dolphins up close. Crew were very friendly and got some gear photos up close. Well worth it!!
Polperro were amazing, the team so knowledgeable and friendly. We were put onto their boat last minute, which saved the day. My partner swam and loved it, said the experience with the seals was incredible. I sat safely on the boat and enjoyed every minute. So many up close on the boat of both seals and dolphins. Was the perfect amount of time, lovely hot drinks and scones. We will be back as bring out boys for this years birthday presents.
The captain was very. knowledgeable and followed the dolphins giving a very rewarding experience. it was fantastic watching the ship divers bring the dolphins in.
First of all i’ll give tripadvisor a one star and never going to book my plans with them, on a day we had booking it was no 3 hours cruise just 90 minutes and the time tripadvisor confirmed was 1:00pm, I took my 2 and 3 years old on a sun from 12:30 but after half an hour waiting and seeing no cruise I rang the company and they told me you don't have any booking with us at all, finally after long conversation over the phone they found out tripadvisor just sold us the ticket without any booking with the moonraker company. Any way after 1 hour waiting they fit us on a 90 minutes cruise and we haven't seen any dolphins by our ends. The only thing I can say is they have a friendly and nice crews otherwise It was our second time with this company and haven't seen any dolphins never go back and not recommend at all specially booking with tripadvisor.
Saw the $85 sightseeing package on booking.com and thought it was only a sightseeing service. In fact we were joined with people who are going for swim. And for the 2hours we were waiting on the boat under the sun as the boat is not shaded. The most upset thing is that there were not enough seats (too many people at the same boat) and most of the seats are very wet because the people swimming are seating with the sightseeing person. Really don’t recommend anyone to spend $85 for “sightseeing”. Just a waste of money and time waiting for people swimming. Booking.com should take this misleading sightseeing down.
Whilst I enjoyed being out on the bay, this was not a sightseeing cruise. Instead it was all about the swim tour.
The crew were amazing. Great communication and very professional. All were happy to answer any question and accomodate any need. Luckily all the passengers seemed like lovely people. It felt like a very shared experience. My mum whose 82nd birthday it was had a look of pure joy on her face. Especially with the hot mocha and watching those beautiful dolphins and seals. Thank you all for a totally memorable experience.
An incredible experience, was lucky to see large numbers of dolphins, swam close to our boat so got to see them up close! The staff were excellent, passionate about their field and incredibly knowledgeable. Hope to return and do the swimming element next time, everyone said it was great.
What a great experience. We went with our 2 children. From the moment we were picked up the staff were very welcoming and super friendly. We had the best seat on the boat as we sat at the front. Staff were extremely knowledgeable. We got to see some amazing dolphins. Definitely a trip to do if in mornington. Would highly recommend to anyone if they get the opportunity to do this royr
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour over the Australia Day weekend. The staff were very informative and friendly, boat was spotless and amenities were excellent. Highly recommend and cannot believe how up close we got to the sea lions in the wild.
Incredible trip! This is the 3rd time I’ve done this trip but the first time there was snorkellers on the boat too. The first 2 times it was purely a sightseeing tour which was informative and we did see dolphins at a distance both times. This time we were kind of left to it while the snorkellers got in the water which wasn’t too great however we saw lots of dolphins s and really close to the boat so it was so worth it!!!
The trip was good but it was disappointing that we were not able to see any dolphins. We felt the boat was a bit too small for that many people.
It was really a wonderful experience watching dolphin and seals. Really worth watching them in front of you.
We all had a marvelous time. The boat was very nice, not crowded at all. We saw dolphins and seals and the whole thing was great value for money. Highly recommended!
All I can say was it was amazing and staff are awesome we took our daughter Olivia on boat for her 7th birthday on 3rd January everyone of staff went the extra mile to make you happy and feel Special So thank you so much Especially to Lou and Gus
We took the sight seeing option. Even though the rain was heavy, the experience was pleasant. The crew members took effort in finding the best spots for viewing the dolphins, and we were very pleased with the significant number of dolphins sighted! The tour could have been made more enriching if there were some explanations given about the dolphins. As we only signed up for sight seeing, we didn't benefit much from the seahorse viewing, so splitting the sightseeing and swim tours would be ideal. However, I understand it might be due to low in numbers. Overall, it was worth the money and time spent ! Thank you!
What an amazing morning we had with these bunch of really friendly and dedicated group of people who run this tour. Me and my 9yr old son were well looked after and got to see and swim with the dolphins and seals for the whole morning. The boat was really comfortable and well equipped. we also hire one of those underwater cameras and now have a lot of memories that will last a lifetime. i cant wait to go back next year. you guys rock!!!
An incredible experience - the crew were professional and friendly and the boat immaculate. All the snorkelling gear was clean and practically new. A very well run experience and got to see so many wonderful sea creatures. A breathtaking experience and would highly recommend doing.
What a fantastic day on Port Phillip Bay. The Dolphins were beautiful and the seals are also a bit of fun to watch fooling around on the water. It was a crazy busy day on the water because there was some kind of yacht race race happening, but Captain Torie and her crew made it part of the fun. (I think she was secretly showing them what the difference is between her 1400 Caterpillar horsepower and a little bit of wind)...🤣 We swam at four different locations, from shallower calm waters looking at seahorses and fish to open water with the dolphins and seals! Gus and the rest of the crew were amazing and encouraging for the people who needed a little help. It’s easy to get on and off the massive swim deck at the back because of the drop down step (I’m a mechanic with bad knees and it was really easy). The safety briefing was like a comical aircraft attendants message (just needed the Madonna microphone!) and he keeps referring to his mum and holding hands with the other crew lady who was acting out his instructions. 🤣 The weather was a overcast a little which actually made it nicer than blistering sun when I’ve done other tours in Queensland and Hawaii. Our group of friends went to Portsea pub for dinner afterwards, making a great day of it. 👍🏼
