From Melbourne: Hop On Hop Off Mornington Peninsula

We had a fantastic experience with Hop It on our wine tour from Melbourne to the Mornington Peninsula! The whole process was seamless, from booking and tickets through to the day itself. Jon was an absolute pleasure to deal with, friendly, helpful and incredibly accommodating. Everything was well organised, making it such an easy and enjoyable experience from start to finish. A brilliant day out and an experience we'd highly recommend!

What a great experience! Our driver Steve was prompt picking us up & very friendly and helpful. This was the perfect trip to explore a few different wineries without being part of a huge bus tour. We had about 6 of us on our Sunday tour and was a lot of fun having our own itineraries, but still able to socialize a bit. Highly recommend for a day out. We're already booked again for the Yarrah Valley one

Fantastic day, and well worth the price

This was my third tour with Hopit, I highly recommend this way of touring the wine regions. This trip we visited Crittenden, Port Phillip Estate and 10 minutes by Tractor. All lovely wineries and Sara is a great tour guide and driver. Sara accommodated my request to have extra time at Port Phillip Estate for lunch which was greatly appreciated. Thank you Sara and Jon, see you next year!

Great tour. Steve was nice and friendly. Was a little crowded due to Easter Sunday but overall a good experience!

Fabulous day exploring Yarra valley - with the confidence of reliable travel with great service from Aaron and Jon - visited 4 different fantastic venues - my special one was Dame Nellie Melba home - the grounds - history and opportunity to taste @Coombes wines (thanks Maria) was a fabulous memorable experience. Highly recommend Hop It. Reliable, friendly, fun. Enjoy some of our photos I’d recommend if you had time to do 2 days and choose different places each day

We had an amazing experience with Ceps and Hop On Hop Off. Ceps was so knowledgeable about Australia, the wine, the wineries and we event got to chat about health and longevity. Our entire time on the road was full of great chatter. The wineries we went to were stunning in their unique ways and our lunch at Red Hill Estates was delicious. If you are on the fence about a Hop It tour, book it! And if you can request for Ceps to be your driver do that too!

Sara gave us a truly enjoyable day on the Mornington Peninsula. I opted for Hop it to create the itinerary for us and it was a perfect choice for us. We tasted @ 2 wineries then had lunch at Foxey’s Hangout. Sara is personable, entertaining and was flexible around our final stop. This was the perfect way to wine taste for people who don’t like big, organized tours, but also don’t want to make the drive on their own. I wish wine regions in Northern California had Hop it! Thanks, Sara!

We’ve hopped on twice now and absolutely loved it! It gives us the freedom to enjoy the day at our own pace. A huge shoutout to Jon, our driver, he’s incredibly knowledgeable about the regions and made the experience even better. We loved every moment!

Ceps was an amazing guide, the wineries were lovely and we had such a great time. Absolutely loved the whole experience, very affordable and value for money.

Friends & I used Hop it for their Mornington route and I couldn't rate them high enough. Our driver Steve was so friendly & helpful. Steve recommended wines to try at each of our selected stops, he was polite & patience with us (we were a few minutes overrun at one stop). The Mornington route is also a lot more scenic and calmer than Yarra valley, which was a nice change from some of the big crowds you get in the Yarra Valley, as well having some great wines. This wasn't our first time using hop it, having used it when friends have come over to visit, its a great way to visit 3-4 wineries. They also have a loyalty card!

2023 &2024 Gold Winner from the Victorian Tourism Awards, Hop it always makes your day. Today, on the Mornington Peninsula route, our driver was Steve and he was very accommodating and impeccably on time. Choosing this Winery tour is always a win as you can plan up to 4 places. It is also the cheapest tour on the market.Small groups, good vibe, nice relaxing atmosphere. Many locals choose it and are regulars, which tells already a lot. What are you waiting for?

Jon was a lovely, accommodating, and knowledgeable driver sharing with us plenty of appreciated information about the region, wines, and things to do.

Great way to visit the wineries - flexible and can easily check out several stops. Small group size and friendly driver too!

What a fantastic experience. Sara was our driver and guide, she was super friendly and chatty, told us a lot about the wineries in Mornington Peninsula and what wines to look out for. We were given the schedule in advance and left 1 slot open to see if they had any recommendations, of course they did and it was perfect! We went to Paringa Estate, booked a lunch in advance and signed up for the complimentary wine tasting which was 30 minutes prior to lunch. Sara would text us the pick up time every time she dropped us off so we won’t miss the bus. We walked into Ten Minutes by Tractor, unfortunately it was full so we could only purchase by the glass instead of the tasting. Lastly, Foxy’s was Sara’s recommendation, it was amazing! Such a good tasting experience the guy was so entertaining and easy to talk to. The ride out and back to the city was not that long, Sara had a perfect playlist for the journey and waters for everyone. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who is looking for a wine tasting experience but would prefer to have their own schedule and privacy instead of being in a group tour.

This was a very convenient way to get around door-to-door service for the wineries at a lower cost. The driver was super friendly and the wineries were very accommodating. Would recommend.

Our driver Sarah was absolutely lovely and could not have been more helpful or accommodating during our day touring wineries in Mornington. Her communication throughout was super and she was very chatty and informative about the area and the wineries. I would recommend using this service to anyone.

I’ve done my fair share of wine tours, and this is the highlight. Fantastic driver from knowledge and friendliness, could not recommend more. Steve is a legend!

We visited Pt Leo Estate and had a great lunch there. Free admission for the sculpture park after the meal. We then had apple cider at the apple farm. Jon from Hope It suggested we visit the Olive Farm as well and we got a bottle of nice Australian olive oil thrre.

An amazing service and a great day out! Would highly reccomend. Jon is an amazing driver and host. He gives you lots of good tips for each destination you would like to go to. I would reccomend the Red Hill Winery, Two Bays Brewery (all gluten free - the pizzas are amazing here!!) and the Jimmy Rum Distillery for this trip.

Highly recommend this trip. Jon was a great guide with excellent knowledge of the region and provided helpful tips. We got picked up from Frankston and dropped back safely. It's a great way to explore the area without having to think about how you'll be getting to and from the different locations you choose. We booked the day before and thankful we were able to be accommodated. Jon's communication from confirming our booking to reminders of pick up times during the tour was excellent.

Great trip. Jon was great fun giving all sorts of great info on the way in and out (loves a bit of rugby). He gave us a great recommendation which we followed and made a great day even better. Would highly recommend and will do again when next in Aussie.

This was the second tour, on back-to-back days we did with Hop It, and it did not disappoint. This time we had the benefit of having one of the owners of the company, Jon, drive us through the Mornington Peninsula on their “hop on hop off tour” which was an almost private tour as there were only 2 couples on this day-long tour! Exactly like the Yarra Valley tour, Jon efficiently communicated via text message in order to keep us on schedule and when possible, allowed us extra time at the wineries. He had water on offer, storage for our purchases, and a killer playlist!! Plus, he was a most engaging host - it was immediately obvious how much he enjoys talking with his guests and sharing his knowledge of the wines and wineries around Melbourne. I wish we could clone Jon and his wife Sara (who was super helpful in helping us with a few recommendations and reservations) and have them run their professional yet relaxed operation across every wine region in the world!! We look forward to doing their tour again the next time we find ourselves in Melbourne!

Fabulous!! We arrived in Melbourne a couple of days ago when I realised that I’d not booked us on this tour but I rang Sarah yesterday and she got us on one for today. Amazing! We had the best day. I’d highly recommend Epicurean for a lunch stop, wine tasting at Foxey’s and gin paddles at Bass and Flinders. Jon was the best driver and guide and was patient and considerate with us all. He has great recommendations at all venues and an excellent play list while travelling. We all had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Hop It Tours to everyone.

Great and really convenient!! We loved our tour with Jon! They make it really easy to understand and to organise yourself so you can enjoy without any worry. Very punctual and joyful. Will do it again for sure!!!

What a fabulous experience we had on this winery tour! We were in control of where we went (4 choices off the extensive list), what we ate and how our day would go. Jon our tour guide was fabulous from start to finish, very accommodating and a good laugh!. Would highly recommend these guys, very reasonably priced also. Will definitely be a returning guest!
