It's a good tour. Our guide Amelia, was really good. We saw perchance an Emu at the light dinner they serve before the tour. It graced is by standing in front of the window. Coz after that there were no emus to be seen anywhere. Though we did see one grey backed Kangaroo, a couple of Koalas , many, many wallabees and a few other. Enjoyable

This was such a wonderful experience. Penny, our guide, was wonderfully knowledgable and a pleasure to spend time with. We saw so many animals and each one was carefully explained with its importance within the eco system clearly imformed. The food was also excellent.
This was a great experience. The admission fee was about right for the group size and the divine meze which we dined on. Our guide, Amelia, was very knowledgeable and super passionate about the park, the environment and the animals.
Very nice tour, with an informative guide. Was not expecting the soup supper we were given beforehand! We saw koalas, pademelon, wallabies, emus and various birds - it was lovely to be able to see them behaving naturally, even if at least a proportion of them are not truly wild.
Simply the most wonderful thing you could be doing - giving people the opportunity to better understand the flora and fauna we need to keep being surrounded by ... Thank you.
Lovely staff, excellent guide, extremely knowledgeable. Food was excellent
Very well run experience, from the yummy dinner provided all the way to the professionally guided nature walk with a conservationist. We saw many animals: koalas, kangaroos, wallabies. Tour is laid out with the safety of people and animals in mind.E.g Visitors are provided with an earpiece so that you can hear the tour guide talk at all times even, since the guide needs to speak in a soft voice to not shy away animals. You will walk away delighted and with a lot more knowledge about Australian wild life.
This 32 acre refuge protects many native animals from predators while allowing them to roam. We saw about 10 different types of animals and learned a lot about them. Plus we supported animal research so they will have a better chance of surviving! Our guide was very knowledgeable and helped us understand the animals better. We highly recommend this tour!
The evening began with a nice supper. Our guide (whose name I can’t remember unfortunately) was excellent. We saw kangaroos, wallabies, emu and koala and other creatures. There were 10 of us on the tour which was a good number. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The profits from the tours go to support important conservation work. Highly recommended.
The friendly and knowledgeable tour guide made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend the dusk tour on a warm evening.
A fascinating insight - thank you Liam for all the facts We saw all that we'd hoped for and more! Nice meal before and good company
This was a great walk with an experienced and knowlegable guide. Dusk is a great time to view animal activity and we saw quite a lot. The light meal (excellent!) before the tour was a real plus given the time of the tour. I felt it was good value for the time we spent there, though it would have been nicer if the group was smaller (it was between 16 and 20). At times the viewing was difficult due to the number of people. Highly recommended.
The dusk discovery tour is brilliant, we saw so much wildlife we never usually see such as swamp rats, pademelons, potoroos. The guide was very informative and your money goes back into conservation. The sanctuary helps to keep native animals safe from invasive predators.
Fantastic set up. Lovely light dinner and drink. Incredibly friendly & knowledgable guide. Highly recommend the dusk tour
Amazing experience to actually see these animals in the wild. We saw a lot of koala’s and potoroos! Also the people were very kind and informative.
We really enjoyed this experience. The guide was very informative, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. It was lovely to see all of the animals in their natural surroundings. The tour was well equipped and organised. We never felt rushed. We took our 6month old daughter and felt so welcomed.
A wonderful experience with plenty of amazing native wildlife close encounters. Our biologist guide was sensational, as was our evening meal at the end of the tour! Highly recommend and so pleased to have had the opportunity to also support this social enterprise and conservation effort. Huge congrats to the great team at Wildlife Wonders! And a special thank you to the team for providing the wheelchair and warm blankets so our mother could enjoy the experience so comfortably!
We took some overseas visitors on this tour, to show them native animals in their natural environment. The tour did not disappoint and provided some great photo opportunities and enjoyment of the Australian natural habitat. Zoe our guide was passionate and knowledgeable and this was infectious. Would highly recommend.
I’m delighted that we found the option for the dusk tour. There were only three of us but it wouldn’t have made a difference with a larger group. There were only staff have the tours down to a science. The ear pieces were ideal to hear every word by the guide. We enjoyed our tour by Alon. Very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. We highly recommend visiting this special place!we saw so many animals!
What an exciting discovery. I had heard of the name but never connected with the fact. I also had a business reason to present at this place. We were greeted so warmly and voluntarily we could not refuse to take the Dusk tour. What they are endeavoring to do is so suitable for our greater appreciation of our mutual Wildlife Heritage. Our tour guide was educational, conversant and worked the Group nicely
Saw my DREAM animal: an echidna!!!!!!! I was blown away by such an immersive experience, not only you get to see animals but you also smell the eucalyptus, feel the ocean’s breeze and hear the bird’s calls. Truly magical, thank you to our tour guide Nicole!!
The whole wildlife wonders concept and experience is amazing. We commenced with an amazing light meal with choice of soft drink, wine or mixer and got to know others in the group around the table. The tour then commenced as we walked through grasslands, bushland and forest spotting fufus bellied pademelons, potaroos , wallabies, koalas, and various bird life and bird call. We saw a magnificent sunset over cape otway. This conservation/ research focussed social enterprise is fantastic and well worth supporting for the sake of our future.
We truly enjoyed our experience. Everything was great: delicious supper, friendly and knowledgeable tour guide, lots of animals, some with their cute babies, beautiful sunset.
I took my 7 year old son on the nighttime wildlife tour and it was absolutely incredible. Neither of us will ever forget it. Our guide Erin was incredibly informative and really enthusiastically enamoured with her job and because of that she made it so enjoyable. She was also so inclusive of my son and his desire to participate and spot animals. We both loved it. Highly recommend!
Dusk tour was excellent - we were a group of 6 with ages from 9yo to 75yo. Initially when booking we thought it was a bit expensive, but the experience was great value with a very nice dinner and wine included. Lots of opportunity to spotlight with the red lights provided, seeing up close plenty of koalas, potoroos, bandicoots, pademelons, kangaroo, emu. Gift shop has a good selection of nature books. Thank you to our lovely guide Erin.
We were made to feel very welcome and served with a very good quality light supper. Arriving early we had time to browse in the shop and learn about Wildlife Wonders. We were well equipped with binoculars and and as the evening wore on we saw increasing numbers of native Australian animals in their protected natural habitat. We saw bandicoot, poteroos, swamp wallabies, kangaroo, emu and of course koalas. Our guide was very helpful and enthusiastic, spotting the animals and telling us all about them. All in all it was a very enjoyable evening which I would recommend to anyone interested in learning about and seeing these elusive animals where they are protected from non native species.
We had a great time on the tour, our guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and helped make for an unforgettable evening. The reserve is in a great setting and we were able to see the animals wandering around at close quarters. Recommended if visiting Apollo Bay area
Our highly knowledgeable guide enabled an exceptional experience including multiple sightings of a wide range of the remarkable wildlife of the Otways
Delaney was a fantastic knowledge guide ! Lovely supper of paella! We saw koalas, wallabies, kangaroos, bandicoot, potoroos, pandemelon! Beautiful sunset on the coast! Highly recommended and an excellent cause! Thank you 😊
Such a delightful early evening tour of this fabulous wildlife conservation area. The individual head sets were an excellent way to ensure everyone could hear. Our guide Louisa had a soft voice and it was perfect for this. She was an excellent guide and keenly shared her knowledge with us about all the wildlife we saw. Afterwards our tour group sat and shared a delicious meal that was included in our tickets. Highly recommend visiting this reserve and doing a tour.
The tour was extremely well organised, they had headsets for every one which allowed our guide to speak softly and not disturb the wildlife but we could all hear at the volume we need. Fantastic for people with hearing impairment. Our guide Louisa was very knowledgeable and attuned to the environment, able to alert us to sounds and point out animals we would not have heard or seen on our own. On this particular tour we were able to spot every single species they had on the beautiful property including the reclusive echidnas, the potaroos and the emus. The tour concluded with a very convivial sit down meal and a glass of wine. One of the best experiences we had in the area and great value, also nice to know the money goes back into conservation and research. No hesitation to recommend to everyone travelling in the Apollo Bay area.
Wildlife Wonders was recommended to me by a friend and I'm so glad we took his advice and booked the Dusk Discovery Tour, despite the unpredictable spring weather. Our guide was Delaney who is clearly passionate about protecting Australian native wildlife and was keen to pass her knowledge on to the small group of us on the tour. We were provided with small binoculars, a torch and an earpiece, the latter being so that all commentary could be heard, no matter how quietly our guide spoke. We saw many koalas and Delaney explained the meaning of the grunting noises being made by the males! We also spotted padymelons, bandicoots, wallabies and kangaroos, including one with a joey. The view from the sanctuary across the sea was breathtaking. When the rain started falling while we were at the research centre Delaney provided us with waterproof ponchos for the short walk back to the visitor centre, where we enjoyed a delightful meal with our fellow participants. Highly recommend!
Learning about the research and conservation efforts by an amazing team to help keep these animals safe and in their natural environment is a amazing. Even for Ausssies who have seen some animals before, to seee them in the wild in their natural habitat was great! And to learn so many facts from our knowledgeable guide was so good too! We saw koalas, potaroos, 2 types of wallabies, swamp rat. Thanks to the wildlife wonders team for all the research and conservation efforts!
This is a lovely experience that we thoroughly enjoyed! This is a nice gentle stroll with a guide who provides a commentary throughout about the landscapes and animals that can be found there, threats to survival/habitat and how we can help preserve the future of these lovely animals! Olivia, our guide, was incredibly knowledgable and you could tell how passionate she is about animal conservation and welfare. We got to see koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, potoroos and bandicoots as well as a lovely sunset with a view of the ocean. The animals we saw are nocturnal, so may be different if you went on a tour at a different time of the day. It was also interesting to find out about current/recent conservation projects that are being worked on. I highly recommend this tour!
We loved the Dusk Tour - really great guide who understood and cared about what she was showing us, and of course we got to see loads of animals up close - which our six-year old loved. Five stars - thanks guys!
We took a Dusk tour with our extended family including a lively 6 year old. From start to finish everything about it was very professionally done. The video at the beginning set the tone and the handing out of binoculars and torches added to the excitement. The kangaroos were spotted immediately very close to the Centre and the children loved it. Our guide was super friendly and very knowledgeable stopping on the pathway every few yards pointing out flora, fauna, koalas in the trees wallabies potoroos. The children were enthralled hanging on every word asking questions and listening avidly to the answers. Well worth a visit.
Del was a passionate and brilliant guide, full of information and had a keen eye to spot lots wildlife during our tour. She was engaging and encouraged questions and thoughtful conversation. The after tour nibbles responded to dietary needs, was delicious and professionally presented and a great way to end the tour.
We went on the twilight tour and the experience is one we will remember forever. The tour (in early June so early sunset) started at 4:30 pm which gave us plenty of opportunity for koala spotting. There was an abundance of them ! But the real highlight came after dark. The potoroos came out and bounced around as though we were not there. We saw both adults and young out feeding. The bandicoots behaved similarly. It was a different story with the pair of emus though, who decided to play hide-and-seek with us. They would stand a few metres from the track looking at us inquiringly as we walked past then disappear only to reappear some minutes later around another bend in the path - looking at us as though we were on show for them. We then emerged from the bush onto the grassland section of our tour to see kangaroos, wallabies, pademelons, and yes, the emus. Throughout the tour our guide provided expert commentary about the animals we were seeing and details of their behaviour patterns, the food they ate, and how they found in in their environment. An amazing and memorable experience.
Small group with knowledgeable guide. Very relaxed atmosphere. Learnt lots and saw wonderful animals and conservation activities. Well worth it. And a great dinner at the end. Very passionate staff.
Wonderful experience and definitely a must see. John was our tour guide, his knowledge was exceptional and the various different animals we encountered was quite enjoyable. After the tour we had a very tasty meal with some delicious refreshments. Easily the best native wildlife park I’ve been to.
It was a wonderful experience. We had the 18:30 tour, which started with a very delicious dinner. In doing so, already seen an emu family with 4 babies and a kangaroo. Afterwards we are equipped with binoculars and headphones in the park. You could tell that our guide was there with heart and soul. The tour through the forest was enchanting! We have seen almost all described animals that can live here without being locked up or with behavioural problems!
The tour was absolutely fabulous, our guide Louisa was great, passionate and we learned a lot. We have seen animals threatened with extinction like bandicoots! The dinner that followed was a real plus, which allowed our lovely little group to chat and we had the chance to chat with locals who were adorable! And it’s great not to have to look for a place to dine afterwards! The organization is very friendly. Last but not least, the proceeds of the visits contribute to the funding of research on the ecology of Cape Otway, which is incredible! I absolutely recommend!
