Jarrod is an excellent tour guide, entertaining and knowledgeable, and helped tailor the walk to suit my mother’s mobility needs. Highly recommend and great value.

What a fabulous morning we had with Jarrod. So many stories to bring Ballarat history alive and visits to some special places we wouldn't have found on our own. A well paced tour with an enthusiastic and well informed guide.
We live locally in Ballarat and went on this walking tour with family from out of town. Jarrod was very knowledgeable and engaging. We discovered parts of Ballarat we didn't know existed which was fantastic! We would highly recommend this tour.

This is a terrific walking tour of Ballarat. Our tour guide, Jarrod, was excellent - knowledgeable, engaging and paced both the information and walking just right. Jarrod didn’t shy away from the difficult parts of the history. He balanced this with his love of the city telling quirky, humorous tales. Jarrod took us to hidden gems and presented a really interesting picture of Ballarat. Highly recommended.
Very informative and Jared’s pride for his city and job is a subtle bonus
My friend said, “It's the best tour I’ve ever done”, and I have to agree with her. Jarrod was a great guide and storyteller and all three of us learnt so much about Balla Arat and enjoyed it all. Highly recommended.
An engaging and thoroughly enjoyable experience walking the streets of Ballarat with Jarrod. Kept us entertained with colourful stories of the people, places and events of the 1800's during the gold rush. Visiting the Mechanics Institute and Craig's Hotel definite highlights.
Jarrod was a wealth of information. He shed a new light on my limited history of the area. I have a greater appreciation for the early miners/settlers in this area. Will definitely be visiting this arra again.
Had a great time on this tour and learned a lot about Ballarat's history and the history of the gold rush era. We were lucky enough to be the only people on the tour and it was a relaxing and informative time.

An easy walking tour learning how Ballarat grew to the town of today with stories of interesting people and places. Loved the coffee stop at the Graig Royal Hotel and the access to buildings you would.normaly walk by.
Do yourselves a favour and try a Hidden Lanes Ballarat city tour. Very witty and informative, included a coffee stop at a really charismatic pub, Craig’s, (where the photo was taken.) We explored places not readily accessible to tourists, fascinating and very interesting.🧐
A superb guided tour of Ballarat. Local guide, who knew his stuff! Small group, easy pace, covered different parts of Ballarat and gave us access to some of the buildings which you wouldn’t get to see on your own. Highly recommend. Locally owned company as well.
There is no better way to explore a city than with a walking tour. From the start, Jarrod our guide brought the history of Ballarat alive.Surprising and quirky details included along the way showcased his knowledge and humour. The Arctic conditions didn’t spoil our morning and a warming coffee within the confines of Craig’s RoyalHotel was an extra treat. This is a tour not just for tourists but anyone that loves history and this beautiful regional city.
What a fascinating walking tour. Soooo interesting with lots of historical and some "quirky" facts supplied by our guide Jarrod. Lots of oooh and aaah moments. Don't miss this tour.
We had a fantastic walking tour in Ballarat with Jarrod! He was friendly, informative and shared incredible stories from the 1851 gold rush era. The 2.5-hour tour covered key landmarks with fascinating historical insights. A perfect mix of history, exercise and fun. Highly recommend for both locals and visitors!
Our host Jarrod, was knowledgeable and friendly. He graciously shared his time and information. He was well prepared and courteous. We walked casually at a suitable pace for all. Well worth it.
Jarrod provided a lovely historical tour of Ballarat to our small group of friends. He looks the part and shared some fascinating stories about old Ballarat, the early days of the diggings and the Eureka uprising. We were a lively group and tested Jarrod’s knowledge, but he managed the group with humour; “I am not an historian”. He also showed us some of the cooler shops and places in East Ballarat which we would explore after the tour. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
I learned so much from Jarrod our knowledgeable and entertaining tour guide. Jarrod's stories took me back through time so that l could picture, in my mind, the life of those living in town and on the Goldfields during the eighteen hundreds. The tour of the buildings and lanes served to reinforce the stories and gave me the feeling of being a time traveller as l observed the ancient amongst the modern. This was an excellent tour and l was glad that l had participated.
