We had a very comfortable stay at Nightelier Carrum Downs Sands and also want to thank the Doncaster branch for their consideration in allowing me to cancel my original booking and rebook after I booked the wrong location (as an out of towner) under a non-refundable booking. We were grateful that we were allowed to check in a bit earlier, coming off a 5am start (to make our flight in) and a few hours journey by public transport from the airport. This allowed us to drop off our bags and freshen up before attending the funeral. Overall we were impressed with the friendly and helpful staff, the clean and well presented room and the location, with the shopping centre and eateries being right across the road. No issues with the bathroom or shower either - we found it clean, well lit and with all the necessary amenities. We heard good things about the food offerings and we weren't disappointed by the breakfast buffet, which had an excellent selection of hot foods, cereal, bread/pastries and fruit/yogurt as well as juice, tea and coffee. Other nice touches included the little library near the lift and the drink vouchers for the bistro. (Alas I didn't think to take pictures) We'd like to thank Nightelier and its staff for making our stay a pleasant one during a difficult time.

Recently renovated hotel. Everything looks very nice and well decorated. The room was spacious with kitchenette, sitting area and the bedroom. The balcony give you access to fresh air. Free coffee/tee in the reception area with friendly and helpful staff. There is bar and bistro you can enjoy after work. Plenty of eating options in 2-5 min walking distance.
Having spent hundreds of nights in various rooms, these are amazing and worth the time writing about it. The venue attached has great food and facilities and it all really punching above its weight. Well worth it if you are seeking a stay in the area and would highly recommend.

We weren't sure what to expect from Nightelier Carrum Downs when booking - not familiar with the hotel and thinking that it was attached to The Sands. Past experiences would indicate that it might not be the best standard. We were wonderfully surprised! Not actually attached to the pub, but located across the driveway. Check in was a breeze with lovely reception staff, we were made fully aware of the facilities available, discounts at the pub, a couple of welcome drinks and the 24/7 coffee machine. All going beautifully so far. And then we went to our room. Wow! I just loved everything - it was so clean, the appointments and interior decoration lovely, the bathroom spacious and everything we needed on hand. Good quality and a nice calming colour scheme. The bed was comfortable and the pillows great. The other surprise? Absolutely no noise. None. Didn't hear a single thing all night. My only (very small) issue was the shower - it was pretty dark with no lighting in the vicinity of the shower itself, and it only has a rain head, which is not ideal if you want to keep your hair dry - with no shower caps supplied. An easy fix. We loved our night here and will stay again if we need to be in the area.
