The staff are polite and concierge was helpful. There was enough dust in the room to keep a gaggle of grandmother geese busy for a month. The chair in the room had a hole in it, the shower was like washing under a hose and room service was so keen to make the beds they didn’t bother to announce their arrival. If you require a unique experience that parallels with staying at a Comfort Inn and leaves you with a sense of well misplaced dissatisfaction go for it. I will not be back.

Everyone friendly and welcoming. Rooms were ok, bed was really comfy. Bathroom let it down as body wash was empty and there was an old manky cake of soap in the corner of the shower. Mould on shower door etc which was disappointing. Good location for the footy but not worth the price for 1 night. Restaurant and food was good
The beds were comfortable. Dinner was ok. The breakfast buffet was manageable but expensive. Coffee was unavailable while the kitchen was closed despite a separate bar. The phone in our room didn't work. The iron ruined a shirt. Would opt to look elsewhere for booking in the future.
My mum and I came from NSW to watch Geelong Cats play, and were very happy with how close the hotel was to the ground. We walked there in about 10 minutes, and on the way back, stopped in at a local restaurant not far at all from Rydges. Wasn't very far from the water either. The bed was comfortable, and the room was nice. Will stay again when we come back to see our team play!🤩
We stayed in Room 602 on Saturday 21 March immediately after our wedding reception. We were dropped off directly at the hotel and noticed my wife’s wedding jewellery was missing when we got home. The jewellery has enormous sentimental value and could only have been left behind in the room. I called reception the next morning around 8:30 am to ask if anything had been handed in — nothing had. I then sent a detailed email explaining the situation and politely asking housekeeping to do another thorough search of Room 602. No one ever responded to my email. Extremely disappointing service from a hotel that should understand how important this kind of item is, especially on a wedding night. We’ve now had to consider filing a police report because the hotel showed zero interest in helping us recover a meaningful, valuable item left in their care. Would not recommend this hotel if you value responsive customer service or basic care for guests’ belongings.
