We had breakfast at the hotel. Choices are limited but staff are very nice and friendly. Food are fresh. All staff in the hotel are friendly and helpful. Clean room and very comfortable stay. Had problem with toilet, broken and no water refill. Called night shift reception. Lady hang up the phone while I’m still speaking. Other than this drama, every other staff are pretty professional and nice.
Great location on the edge of the Melbourne CBD. Really nice rooms, all new, at a very reasonable cost. Lovely people running the place, breakfast & dinner now available. Also just next door to the Cardina Club.
Family emergency trip. After a five-hour drive, a good bed at Mercure was great. I travel with my own food (drinks, milk & snacks - all cold & shelf friendly), minimal crockery and cutlery and a tea towel. All were used over 2 days. If wanted, BYO biscuits at a minimum. A microwave can be provided in-room at a cost.
Lovely clean room, bit far away from everything, but suited our needs. Found I was waiting for a descent about of time to check in as the front desk was unmanned. Overall a lovely stay.
After spending over $10k in accommodation for my staff recently, I called to speak with the manager about inconsistencies in rates charged, varying wildly day to day. This was triggered after a credit card charge for over $2700 when we had already prepaid for weeks of accommodation and had a remaining balance of around $200. When I got through the to manager he gave me attitude and said he didn’t want to be wasting his time with calls like this. We’ve pulled our staff out of there and will never use them again. As a corporate customer I’m disgusted with the way this hotel conducts business.
