We booked this Hotel through Lux Escapes and it really is a beauty. Things to note, that aren't mentioned anywhere for when you check in, there is no onsite parking. You have to park on the street, across the road in the Hotel Carpark, or behind the hotel that involves a hill to climb up and down which we were told after carting our luggage across the road. The Front of House staff were professional, friendly and welcoming. Sal and the team at the Virgin Kitchen, were amazing as were the Hotel Bar staff. The rooms were well appointed, clean and comfortable, however, the lukewarm showers for 2 days and the cold shower on the last day wasn't great. Unfortunately the FOH staff member on check out let the team down with the very lack lustre check out. Maybe they drew the short straw after a big GF night the day before. No apology for the cold showers and we are still waiting for our receipt for what was billed to our room and Club Wyndham Customer service are still yet to reply to our reply. All of that aside, it really is a beautiful hotel situated in a great location. Walking distance to everywhere and out of the chaos of Daylesford.

This place was amazing. Such a beautiful grounds. Amazing rooms and an amazing cafe. We only stayed one night but it's really well done. The lobby is chock full of big leather chairs like a lodge with a fire. Great for chatting, sipping wine or a port and keeping warm. Lovely people as well.
My partner and I came to Daylesford for a quick day trip, after heading to hotel bellinzonia for a drink in their foyer upstairs (which oozed masculine sophistication) we instantly felt so relaxed, in holiday mode and made the random decision of booking a room and staying the night. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was by far the best meals we’ve had out in a long time! The service was impeccable and the staff were all friendly. A special shout out to Sal & Mae for their great service, standouts to have in the business! Thank you for a lovely time and we will most definitely be back! Renee & Tim
Michael and the team at Bellinzona are a picture of hospitality and generosity. They truly don’t make em like this anymore! Robbie, Sammi, Will, Di… They obliged every request and catered beautifully. We loved our two-course team dinner in the stunning dining room. The morning coffees were exactly what we needed. The conference room was gigantic. I can’t wait to come back for a visit that isn’t work related.
The other reviews indicated the rooms are dated. I think the rooms are fine, a few frayed edges but overall felt luxurious and old time charm. Bed was comfy, but like European style king (two twins joined) The hotel itself is lovely, the grounds are very peaceful with a fountain - but then the garden swings are broken. The spa area is nice but definitely worn. Be sure to bring your towel into the sauna or you’ll get splinters. But it’s very hot in all the best ways, I loved it. The ladder into the spa is loose, and hangs over the jets, which is odd. But the spa is big enough for two couples without feeling crowded. The lap pool is perfect if you time it to avoid other guests. We found 3pm was perfect to get the space to ourselves. The pool room is all in glass and we had beautiful sunny autumn days to enjoy it. Walking out to the garden after the sauna was very refreshing. We found the leather chairs by the fireplace at night were very comfy. We spent one night with a bottle of wine, then another with tea after an epic dinner at the Surly Goat. We didn’t eat at the Virgin but it looked good. Location and parking were perfect. Some odd noises at times because it’s an old building, but all part of the charm. Our Studio room was spacious and rain shower was perfect after the spa. They are generous with the towels and staff were always helpful.
