Barwon Valley Lodge

We live in regional Victoria and recently stayed at Barwon Valley Lodge to attend a specialist appointment in Geelong with my 95 year old mother. I can't believe how accommodating the staff were. To make the stay as easy for my mum as possible they arranged for a shower chair and over the toilet seat to be placed in the bathroom and gave us a late checkout so Mum could rest in the room before her 2.00pm appointment. All this was at no extra charge. The unit was spotlessly clean and had a well appointed kitchen and laundry, comfortable beds and good blockout curtains. There was, plenty of space, good heating, parking right outside and it was very quiet. We have now stayed here on three occasions and every time have had very positive experience. I can't recommend this place highly enough great value for money.

Excellent location, heartwarming host and a homely overall feel. 101% in all aspects. We came as a guest and left as friends. Whenever I will ever be in Geelong or nearby, BVL is the place that I will always stay. ❤️

This is a great place to stay. It's a beautiful park-like setting on the banks of the Barwon. There is a park over the road with running trails and riverfront walks. It's very quiet and restful. There is a supermarket and shops 2 minutes drive away and from there you can drive down into town and the Westfield Mall... very close and convenient. The rooms are spacious, well equipped, and warm. Each bedroom had a heat pump and electric blanket. There seems to be great facilities for families. The proprietors are great... very helpful and friendly even when I thought I had broken the Nespresso!

We stayed at Barwon Valley Lodge for five nights recently and it was a fantastic place to stay when in Geelong. The unit was comfortable, had great amenities and was superbly clean and maintained. It was like a home away from home. The staff were also helpful and considerate. We enjoyed the quiet location, nicely spaced accommodation and grounds including a lovely pool area. We'd happily stay here next time we visit Geelong and would recommend this accommodation situated right by the Barwon River and park areas. It's a real gem.
