5 Knots Metung

Lovely unit with modern finishes and a great view to the lake. Peaceful location and everything was in excellent condition.

We had booked a room at 5Knots Metung in early December for two nights late March but due to my sudden illness we had to cancel the accommodation in early March and advised the hotel then accompanied by a doctors certicate verifying my inability to travel. We asked for a refund but were refused because we didn't cancel before 60 day prior to the accommodation date. Business practices like this where money is required to be paid upon booking but refunds not given unless prior to 60 days of accommodation are disgraceful and should be not allowed by law. We had no trouble getting full refunds from RACV Cape Schank and The Langham hotel in Melbourne both of which promptly refunded much larger amounts. We will never endorse this companies business ever again. No one should ever stay at this hotel unless they amend their cancellation policy. We stayed in November. Location is great unfortunately the smell in our room was unbearable. There looks like there is some sort of water damaged to the bedroom we stayed in. The whole place stink like mould. They shouldn't be able to rent the place put like this. Disgusting.

We booked a 3 night package deal. We booked directly with their website. The communication was good. The place was clean, and the bed was really comfortable. It is spacious. Unit 3 overlooks the water. The kitchen and bathrooms were well equipped. There was a smart TV (a big one downstairs and a small one upstairs). Everything worked well. My only little gripe is the sofa is a little bit old and uncomfortable. We had a wonderful stay here.
