Zambezi Sunset Cruise From Victoria Falls

Great relaxing cruise with super flowing drinks and snacks. Saw Crocodile and many Hippo along the way. So good we booked the sunset dinner cruise on the following day!

I really enjoyed the Shearwater Sunset Cruise. The staff were lovely, welcoming and attentive, and the atmosphere was beautiful. The bottomless drinks and light cocktails were a fantastic touch, and watching the sunset on the Zambezi made the experience truly special. However, I was disappointed with the booking process at the hotel. I was not given a receipt or proof of payment when I booked the cruise. I later noticed that, according to the email and booking terms I received from the website I used to book my hotel, I should have been entitled to a discount. Instead, I appear to have been charged more, which I was told was because I was an international visitor. This needs clarification because the price I was charged did not appear to match the information provided at the time of booking. I would expect transparent pricing, a receipt, and consistent application of any advertised discounts, regardless of where a guest is from. Overall, the sunset cruise itself was beautiful and the staff on board were excellent, but the booking and pricing issue has unfortunately taken away from an otherwise wonderful experience. 🌅

The cruise itself was beautiful and we were lucky enough to see a hippo out of the water and lots of birds and watch the sunset. The food provided was good and we appreciated how many drinks we were allowed too. The staff were very friendly and we appreciated their passion about the river and its wildlife. My only issue was the transfer. Our booking in the app said collection at 15:30 and we arrived at our lodge at 15:25 after being back later than expected from our previous activity. When we arrived our transfer was just leaving- they had never called me or texted me to alert me of this and they were leaving before the collection time I’d been given. Luckily my lodge were able to ring the company so they could come back and get me- otherwise I’d have missed the cruise. Please ensure that you contact guests with accurate pickup times in the future and ring them if you’re going to leave without them.

Other ships saw a quite few hippos, ours didn't go to the area, also the food not good at all. I guess the ship cut short

Not a great tour .... The boat is old and you sit on plastic patio chairs which in that heat not very comfortable. They ran out of beer 10 minutes into a 2 hour tour . The staff blamed passengers for drinking to much in 10 minutes . The food was deep fried and cold . The park fee was $20 USD on the notification but the staff demanded 24 Usd and didn't have change. So all in all not the best. Which was a pitty as the river is lovely and there are plenty of other boats I would suggest using them. I gave a rating of 3 because we did meet some really great passengers we broke the ice complaining about no beer.

We had a fabulous cruise with Mac, Mark and their team. They couldn’t have been more welcoming. The crew were excellent at providing delicious refreshments and drinks. Obviously the highlight was seeing whatever wildlife we could and Mac was brilliant at spotting crocodiles, hippos and eventually a family of elephants not to mention many varieties of birds. It was a lovely relaxing and equally informative fun cruise on the Zambezi and I would highly recommend it. Thank you,

The boat was beautiful and the staff was very friendly and shared a lot of knowledge. The drinks and food were also delicious and plentiful. We did not see a lot of animals but the boat ride was fun.

Very relaxing and informative cruise with good food and drinks included. Only problem is that Viator couldn’t get our address yeti populate for pick up yet again so we just contacted the tour operator. This is frustrating as Viator kept sending lots of emails about pick up address. So they need to fix that part.

First class all the way! The boat's seating was super comfortable, staff was pleasant JB was very knowledgeable and the snacks and drinks were amazing. The musicians welcomed us to the riverbank with there terrific music arrangement and they were a playing when we returned to shore very nice touch.

Very beautiful experience nice people on the boat. Fulfilling snacks and drinks. The process of getting into the boat was very smooth. The only thing that may need improvement is communication to confirm the pick up times.

10/10 experience. The views were amazing. We didn’t properly get to see the sunset but the food, drinks and friendly staff compensated for it. I’ll definitely book with shearwaters again the next time I come to victoria falls.

We enjoyed this event. Fully stocked bar and more than snacks. Friendly crew. Worth the money. This is a must do when visiting this area

The ride promptly picked us up. It was 10 min drive to the boat. There’s a ten dollar park fee. Few dancers and drummers welcomed all the tourists. There were several boats waiting. Looked like they were filling the boats as people show up. We took upper deck seats. If you want to be in shade lower deck is ideal. The service of the staff was very, very nice. All of them were very friendly and nice. There were snacks along with drinks and a dessert. If you are vegetarian or vegan, make sure you remind your tour operator the night before. We didn’t get any even after mentioning in the reservation. We spotted hippos, few crocs and several birds. The ride was very pleasant and relaxing. Definitely recommend this tour.

We thoroughly enjoyed the sunset cruise. Met some new friends and also enjoyed the snacks and drinks. The crew were very hospitable and the skipper was sure that we saw things.

Love a Sunset Cruise on The Zambezi River. On arrival at dock we were welcomed with traditional singing and dancing, so lovely. All staff are so friendly and helpful, great service. The Sunset was Amazing along with seeing many Hippopotamus’s , I was happy. Variety & Plenty of finger food & drinks to fill you up. I would do this again & recommend 100% Just Go & Enjoy

The views are awesome. We took a smaller boat so we can get nearer to the animal like hippos, crocodiles, birds.. The captain is friendly and very knowledgable too. The only thing is that we forgot to mentioned that snack neec to be halal..maybe for future just gave out biscuit, nuts and fruits only

Great peaceful voyage - the food onboard was great, didn’t need dinner afterwards, free drinks also nice. We saw hippos and crocs but mostly it was a lovely peaceful boat ride

We had a relaxing time cruising the Zambezi as we ate delicious appetizers & ordered as many drinks as we so desired. Our guide & server was attentive, well informed, and friendly. We were able to see various birds, crocodiles, hippos, a water monitor, and a couple kinds of antelopes. Oh! And the sunset was amazing! I highly recommend this experience.

The entire crew make you feel at home. At first it was Miss Immaculate who took our drinks' order in a very pleasing manner followed by Mr Jay with his top commentary and information. Next we came across the bartender who made the lovely mocktail and the captain and a few others who were sincere in their enquiries about the tour. Kudos.. keep it up friends.

Too many boasts on the water, felt like a traffic jam🤣 But good food and service. No game other than one sleepy croc but many boats trying to view it!

Our experience with this company was fantastic! The crew was super friendly and knowledgeable. We had some last minute travel changes, and the company was kind enough to accommodate our change request. We ended up doing a sunrise cruise instead of the sunset, and loved everything about this tour from start to finish. We highly recommend this company and the cruise experience! 5 stars!!!

From start to finish, this sunset cruise was absolutely magical. We were picked up right from our accommodation and dropped off afterwards, making the whole experience seamless and stress-free. Onboard, we could enjoy as much of whatever we wanted to drink, perfect for relaxing as we glided along the river. The snacks were delicious and kept coming! We were lucky enough to spot crocodiles and hippos in their natural habitat, and the sunset over the Zambezi was truly breathtaking. One of those moments you just never forget. It was peaceful, beautiful, and incredibly special. Worth every penny we paid. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area!

A great way to wind down after traveling. We really enjoyed it! We had a great view on the top level and enjoyed both the scenery and the sunset. Do it!

Fantastic experience. The crew was brilliant and attentive at all times. And really engaging. Captain made a special effort to slow down and take in the scenery and nature. Great value for money with substantial snacks and unlimited drinks.

The opportunity to see Hippopotamus’ up close is a great way to see one of the big five. There is plenty of bird life for the twitchers out there plus we even saw a crocodile. Drinks, as much as you can and nibbles are included in the price. Sunset over the Zambezi is a sight see. As always don’t forget your camera.

It was a very pleasant couple of hours. Food and drinks included. You may end up sitting at a table with others but we got lucky and it enhanced the trip.

Great experience, service and crew were great. I was surprised how many boats there were on the water. We saw Hippo and a croc and lots of birds, all round great trip.

This was excellent value for money. We had a very well informed and knowledgeable guide. The facilities were good. The drinks were unlimited and the snacks were tasty. Plus best of all you get to experience the great Zambezi. Take the trip it is a no brainer.

An interesting ride on the river. Sighting mainly hippopotamus and crocodiles. Crew very friendly and informative. Drinks supplied without any problems. Food provided was basic but sufficient. All in all a good trip and worth the money.

For the price it's a no brainer, really good guides that will change it into a birding cruise, drinks included which I actually didn't even expect. All in all perfect.
