This is close to Victoria Falls. So logistics are easy if that’s where you are staying. You can do it and visit the falls on the same day. We saw elephants, antelope, warthogs, cape buffalo, giraffes, a jackal and several pups.

I spent some time researching which of the tours to book through TripAdvisor and chose Rukoko because they seemed to be more personalised operator. I am so glad we chose them! They were absolutely excellent. Their head guide, Sam came and picked us up from our lodge with his young assistant Stan. They were very friendly and welcoming. We were told that the two of us would be the only passengers on this drive and felt quite special having the truck to ourselves. All along the drive, Sam would stop when we saw animals, and give us information about them. Then we’d continue on in search of more animals. He would communicate with other rangers to know where other game was, and kept a keen eye on the animal tracks, explaining who they belonged to and which direction they were headed. During the ride we stopped for coffee and chatted with Sam. He was a masterclass in the wildlife and the history of the country. What an education! Absolutely first class. We could not have gotten a better excursion. Thank you so much to Sam and Stan for such a personal, professional and enlightening experience. Brilliant.

We had such a great time ! Last minute decision to do a safari and they were very accommodating . Picked us up at our hotel in a nice clean jeep and provided a delicious snack at the end of our day. Driver and tour guide were very friendly and knowledgeable . We were also lucky to see many animals . Highly recommend!!

We did a game night drive (sunset) and saw so many animals. It was insane. It was only my boyfriend and I, so it was super cool with just the driver. He was great, I can't remember his name. But he was so good, and we had a beer watching the elephants come down to the watering hole. Just spectacular.

What an amazing experience! Sam is simply fantastic. We've been on many safaris and game drives over the years, and this one was truly the best. Sam knows every animal, every water hole, every bird, and even the insects. He clearly takes great pleasure in what he does, and that imbues the tour with a passion rarely seen with the big companies. I would highly recommend engaging Sam and his team to plan your entire visit to the Victoria Falls area, you will be in great hands and will have the experience of a lifetime.

The tour guides Sam and Gerald arrived earlier at the residence we were staying at, ready to take us on the game drive with their warm welcomes. The stop over for a snack was very delightful, with superb muffins and beverages. Sam is a very knowledgeable tour guide with a diverse range of knowledge, not only with the animals but also with fun facts on the rich history of the national parks. Loved the trip a lot, it was very enjoyable. The services provided was top-notch and the drive will be a long lasting memory for my family. Definitely recommend this service.

We opted for a private 5 hour morning game drive and were so glad we did. The whole experience exceeded our expectations! After a prompt 6 am pick up we entered Zambezi National Park via Chamabondo gate. Our guides Gerald and Mtabisi were excellent - so warm, friendly and informative. In addition to all the animals; giraffes, buffalo, zebra, kudu, impala, warthogs and hyaenas we were lucky to see vultures, secretary birds and a bee eater. We also enjoyed our breakfast stop. Altogether fabulous and highly recommend.

Our hotel arranged this Game Drive for us, we chose the early morning option and it was a memorable experience, the driver cum guide took us around and spotting free moving wildlife, we could see gigantic elephant, Giraffe, wild Buffalo, Kudu, Impala and beautiful birds, also saw Baobab Tree, a national monument, the driver stopped our Safari Vehicle on the banks of Zambezi River and we had snacks and coffee. It was awesome and cherishable.

The tour was well planned and an amazing experience! Due to the weather a few of the animals were not spotted but the herd of elephants we tracked were absolutely breathtaking. The location of the park and the humor of the operator was well worth the trip!

Amazing. They picked me up on time, the guide was wonderful and provided a lot of information about the animals. I saw a ton of thing but LOVED all of the elephants and zebra. So close to town, so don’t miss it. Easy and worth every penny.

An incredible game drive, with a fantastic and knowledgeable guide. We saw many species of animals along the beautiful Zambezi River. Very comfortable and equipped game viewing vehicle. A must do experience when visiting Victoria Falls

The experience was thrilling and many thanks to our able guide, Martin, he is a fountain of bush knowledge.

The last day of our 20 day trip through Namibia nd Botswana and several driving game drives we booked a half day walking safari with Sam and Martin. A walking safari is a different experience, more edgy with a heightened sense of awareness of what is around you. The animals behave differently and are more easily spooked. We were just a couple and Sam took the lead with Martin in the rear. The walk takes around 2-21/2 hours and ended with a traditional sundowner back at the truck. While there is never a guarantee of what you will see within 15 minutes we disturbed a lioness with 3 cubs and she had our attention with her blood curdling roars! Sam was very much in control and helped us back away carefully. The rest of the trip was awesome learning about the flora and all the natural signs of life and death from footprints, poop and bones. Lots of birdlife, Kudus and Water Buck. We couldn't recommend this activity more! Lose the truck and feel the signs of life and death outdoors with Sam and Rukoko Safaris.

Corbin guided us on an afternoon game drive in the Zambezi National Park, joined by Lisa. Corbin shared lots of general information about the park, plus had a keen eye for finding game throughout the drive. We had close-in encounters with giraffes, zebras, crocodiles, cape buffalo, tons of monkeys and baboons, antelope, elephants, warthogs, and hippos. They put out a delightful spread of drinks and savory snacks at a beautiful spot along the bank of the Zambezi River, followed by a beautiful sunset. The safari vehicle was comfortable and provided good views from elevated seats. Our trip lasted about 3 hours, essentially until dark set in. We highly recommend this trip.

We managed to book a last minute afternoon game drive with Rukoko Safaris. Sam was excellent allowing us to complete the booking and made payment easy. Our guide was Martin, who is very knowledgeable and skilled at tracking animals. After asking which animals we wanted to see, he did his best to track those( and found them!). He also gave us interesting facts and answered our questions on the drive. The ride was comfortable and we stopped for drinks and snacks overlooking the Zambezi River. This is a recommended Game drive in Vic Falls

Sam is incredibly knowledgeable with 23 years experience of leading safaris. He gave us a combination of walking and driving safari tours covering the landscape, sights, sounds, smells, mammals, plants, birds, insects, geology, weather, interactions between different species, and anything we could think of to ask. He's also a great conversationalist and a genuinely lovely person. As if that wasn't enough... the vehicle is shiny new and a joy to travel in, there was a great range of drinks and food with both healthy and decadent options, Martin and Lisa are also great. Every detail was considered and we were very well taken care of. This whole company is of the highest quality of professionalism and knowledge. We went on 6 different game drive safaris on our trip to Zimbabwe with 3 different operators, and this was by far and away the best. Recommended to us by our safari veteran friends who also agree this is a top notch experience. I am so glad I went with Rukoko. I can't recommend this company highly enough!

Sam and his team at Rukoko went all out to make our holiday memorable and stress free. They handled all the admin of organizing our activities, including activities with other third parties. Everything was on point and Sam’s constant in-person check ins added a special personal touch 🫶🏽. Special mention to Lisa at the Rukoko office and Martin our assigned guide for the week who both carried the same pleasant energy as Sam. Everything was just a truly special experience and especially Rukoko’s own half day game drive which we signed up for; truly 5star 👌🏽. Definitely now our preferred activities agent in Victoria Falls. We will be back for the full day Safari and more 😉; once the kids have grown a bit kkk.

This game drive was a once in a lifetime experience! One of the things you should do before you die! The whole experience was phenomenal! Sam made the whole experience captivating and fun, he was very accommodating and helpful! The best part for me was the food. The picnic on the Zambezi was amazing! The views, the food, the alcohol and the company have top ratings! It was my birthday and honestly I can say I had the best time ever! I will definitely be returning anytime I visit Victoria Falls! Loved it!

We were fortunate enough to go on a game drive with Abe from Rukoko Safaris in the Zambezi National Park, Vic Falls..There were 8 of us, including kids, so Abe had a hard task ahead of him. I have been on many game drives all over Southern Africa and can honestly say it was one of the best I have been on. Just driving along the Zambezi river is beautiful enough and with the care and attention from Rukoko it was wonderful.We had a incredible experience watching a family of elephant but the highlight was our sundowner stop at the rivers edge. Refreshing drinks and delicious snacks were provided. Rukoko also did all our transfers around Vic falls and to the airport. Very comfortable new vehicles with air con . I highly recommend Rukoko Safaris for all your activities whilst in Victoria Falls and Hwange area.

I was the only participant on the tour that day, so I had Sam - the tour guide - all to myself. I thought it was great that the tour wasn't cancelled straight away (thank you for that!). The tour itself was very informative - Sam had an answer to every question I had about the NP and the animals there. On the tour I saw 2 of the Big4 that there are in the NP (elephants and buffalo) as well as numerous other animals (giraffes, birds, impalas, baboons, warthogs,...). At the end of the tour there was a small, delicious picnic (chicken skewers, avocado, carrot and cucumber sticks) on the Zambezi River with the setting sun behind us. Unbeatable!
