Victoria Falls Luxury Sunset Cruise On The Zambezi River

We had a great sunset cruise. The staff was very, very nice and attentive. The food was excellent and cooked to order. No problem needing our dietary needs.

This was a fantastic experience. Lovely boat, set up for 8-10 with great position to see everything. Canapé and drinks served. Interesting and informative talks

We booked the Luxury cruise. I appreciate the beautiful views.The boat is beautiful. The canapés were not nice and was just 1 piece of each per person.We were seated with another family and we were made to share which was uncomfortable. They couldn't even serve a cheap bottle of bubbles.Some of us do not like mixed drinks but had to settle for non alcoholic. I literally had two drinks. 1 wine and one none alcoholic drink because there were no options. They didn't even have simple mocktail like strawberry daiquiri. That was disappointing 😞 Not worth the price

Awesome experience, the tour guide was friendly, taking his time to educate the traveller's about the Zambezi River. They are in no rush so you definitely enjoy the 2 hours.

Very pleasant cruise down river towards Falls on a very well-appointed boat. Canapés were very good and they catered beautifully for vegetarian. Wine/ beer/ drinks were bottomless with a wide choice. Hippos, crocs, and lots of birds viewed as well. All in all , I’d highly recommend it.

The cruise was bliss and the staff service was great but the fact that I had to wait for transport to get picked up after 35 mins of waiting... then only to come back after the cruise to be told to wait again because there was no driver and lack of communication. I'm very disappointed it ruined my experience and I will not use Pure Africa again mabhaiza you have tarnished your brand because of your very beyond poor transportation organisation sort that out for the future but you have lost a customer

This was a great experience. We were picked up from our hotel, the boat was comfortable and modern, drinks were provided and the canapés were really tasty. We saw hippo, a crocodile and giraffes as well as a beautiful sunset. The crew were so friendly and made the experience even better. We'd recommend this to anyone travelling to Victoria Falls.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience and thoroughly enjoyed the cruise. The atmosphere on the water was serene, beautiful, and relaxing, and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Our pickup at the Zimbabwe–Zambia border was handled by "Jonathan", who was an absolute pleasure to have as our driver. He was courteous, patient, professional, and very accommodating. He did his best throughout the journey to make everyone comfortable and handled an unfortunate situation with great professionalism. Unfortunately, a few other tourists on our transfer caused significant delays. They were already late for the pickup and then, after the cruise, took approximately another 30 minutes to return to the vehicle because they had been drinking. Once they boarded the van, they were extremely loud, screaming, singing, and behaving in a way that made the journey very uncomfortable for the rest of us. We appreciated that Jonathan tried his best to manage the situation and even apologized to us. I told him that I understood that it was difficult for him to control the behavior of passengers, but that I would encourage him to report the incident to his employer so that similar situations can hopefully be prevented in the future. Some people travel with children, elderly family members, or simply expect a peaceful and respectful transfer after an enjoyable excursion. We also chose not to confront the passengers ourselves because they were clearly intoxicated, and for obvious safety reasons, we felt it was better to remain quiet. This issue did not take away from the beauty of the cruise itself, which was wonderful, peaceful, and highly enjoyable. I would definitely recommend the cruise, and I would especially like to recognize Jonathan for his patience, professionalism, and efforts to make the experience as comfortable as possible despite circumstances beyond his control. Hopefully, the operator can put measures in place to ensure that intoxicated and disruptive passengers do not negatively affect the experience of other guests in the future.

Really enjoyed this activity. The drink selection is great and includes premium brands. The boat is clean, staff attentive and professional. It was our last activity after being on safari and a helicopter over the falls - it was a lovely way to unwind and see the sunset on our amazing break

I would highly recommend this tour for someone visiting Zimbabwe, from the very start, the service was amazing. The food was excellent, and the sunset was breathtaking.

The Zambezi River Sunset Cruise was an absolute winner and perfect activity for our first night in Vic Falls. The cruise is well managed, very communicative and well curated. Whilst wildlife sightings were not promised as part of the cruise, we were fortunate enough to see Elephants, Hippo’s, some crocodiles (in and out of water)! The food and drinks came complimentary and they were well worth the price you pay! The sunset views stole the whole show! Absolutely stunning display of the purest African Sun! Highly Recommend!

Our family went on the SUNRISE cruise and it was stunning!! It was so peaceful- we were the only family on the boat and the only boat on the river. We saw so many birds and hippos. Very memorable experience!

The tour was relaxing, hassle free pickup, good snacks and drinks and nice views. We spotted some hippos, watched sunset. Only difficulty was the chairs, which were quite uncomfortable.

We had a wonderful time cruising on the Zambezi with Pure Africa! We chose the luxury experience which included drinks and canapes. While we didn't book a dinner cruise, the delicious food we were served filled us up so that we ultimately skipped dinner that night. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks were also included in the price. There is some narration during the cruise to provide a safety orientation and help passengers understand some of the local geography. However, guests are mostly left alone to relax and just enjoy the water, the scenery, hunting for animals, and the sunset. It was very relaxing! We saw hippos, crocodiles, birds, and even elephants. We were picked up from our hotel just before 4pm, and returned by about 6:30 by a very helpful driver. This was a perfect ending to a day that included a walking tour of Victoria Falls National Park on the Zimbabwe side. Highly recommend!

This was a fantastic experience! The boat was very nice with comfy couches and chairs and great views from the top deck. On this sunset cruise alone we saw 2 sets of Wart Hogs, bloats of hippos, birds, and elephants on the way back to our hotel. Food was good and service was fantastic.

We had a really great experience overall and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The staff were absolutely excellent. Friendly, attentive, and professional throughout. The boat itself was beautiful and clearly very well maintained, which made the whole experience feel special and memorable. The only downside was the food. Unfortunately, it was quite average, very plain and not quite up to the same standard as the rest of the experience. Portions were also on the smaller side, and it definitely felt like this is an area that needs improvement. Especially for the price! That said, we still had a wonderful time and would recommend it, especially for the service and the stunning boat. With some upgrades to the catering, it would be a five-star experience!

A smooth and relaxing journey along the Zambezi with breathtaking scenery throughout. We spotted plenty of wildlife along the riverbanks, including elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and a rich variety of birdlife, all in a calm, unspoiled setting. The crew were professional and knowledgeable, adding to an already seamless experience. Highly recommended.

I had an amazing time on the Zambezi Explorer signature deck for a sunset cruise, booking through the Ilala hotel. Views were great, food and drinks were lovely and the staff was fantastic. Special shoutout to Trymore! He was our main attendant on the signature deck and went out of his way to make sure everyone was taken care of and had everything they needed. He made the experience wonderful.

Everything was perfect - including sightings of crocodiles and lots of hippos. Timely pick-up by our wonderful driver, MJ, at hotel and seamless transfer to boat. Crew onboard professional and attentive. A delightful experience for the four of us. Great way to spend your first sunset in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.

The cruise was fun.. My drive MJ was very accommodative and welcoming. He told us about the Zambezi river and the vic fall town. He was very interactive and friendly making my ride both to and from the my hotel enjoyable.

This sunset cruise by Pure Africa was pure heaven! The food and drink was wonderful and free flowing! We were on the very top deck and the views were stunning. We saw hippo, LOTS of elephants, giraffe and zebra on the banks, and a big crocodile sunning himself. Truly a magical evening. Pick up and drop off, door to door, was perfect!

The experience was magnificent. The boat and the cruise was magical. Thoroughly enjoyed it. From the pick up to the boat it was very pleasant.

It was a wonderful start to our Safari. The Sambesi is so tranquil. The Signature Deck was great, a bit hot at the beginning of the trip, as we sat outside, but we were provided with umbrellas to get some shade. And later on it got a bit cooler and we enjoyed the magnificent sunset and the drinks and appetizers. Thanks a lot to the crew!

From the moment we arrived at the boat for the cruise we were made very welcome. We had opted for the signature top deck, which was well worth it. The service was top-notch, as was the food and drinks. To start, we were sitting at the front of the top of the deck in hot sun. We are all offered individual umbrellas. The cruise was very interesting.

Our first outing in vic falls and Jeffrey and Privilege made sure to take care of us. Saw amazing wildlife and the falls from a safe distance. Ended up being a smaller group which was great as we could get closer to the little islands and see more wildlife. Great wine, decent snacks and easy pickup drop off. Would recommend this to anyone as their first introduction to vic falls.

The Zambezi River Sunset Cruise was an amazing experience for us, we were picked up from the hotel where we were staying and the narration by the guide on the cruise was apt and awesome, we could spot a few crocodiles, Hippos and unusual birds flying across. We preferred not to have dinner on the cruise as it was not advisable. It's better to reserve in advance and choose a good travel operator, the hotel will help in this regard. The views of Sunset were fantastic and enchanting.

Stunning cruise, great views, saw some of the African wildlife as you would expect. Great selection of drinks and the snacks were lovely. Typical African fire sky sunset which always makes me smile. Its a great 2 hours. The boat is immaculate. Highly recommend

We booked our sunset cruise through Shearwater Adventures. They picked us up at the hotel and took us to the boat. They had complementary soft drinks and a tasty snack. We saw hippos and crocodiles - they were amazing! The sunset topped it all off! So glad we went.

We had a great experience aboard the Pure Africa sunset cruise on the Signature Deck. The Signature Deck itself was beautifully arranged, offering a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The atmosphere was relaxed yet elegant, with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy uninterrupted views of the Zambezi River. The highlight was witnessing the sunset and the perfect photo opportunities. There was a selection of delicious snacks, although the service for drinks was a little slow. Overall, the Pure Africa sunset cruise on the Signature Deck is a great was to enjoy the beautiful sunset over the Zambezi.

Had a ball on this trip. Plenty of cocktails were had. I didn't expect to see as many animals as we did as i thought it was more about the sunset, which was spectacular. The snacks were nice but a little light on. The drinks flowed freely and were well made. The staff were good and attentive. The boat was stunning and the seating was great.

Very good excursion. Promptly collected from our hotel (Ilala Lodge) for the short drive to the Zambezi. Knowledge and talkative Captain and assistant on our small (max 16) vessel. Drinks and nibbles provided throughout. We cruised to river to search for wildlife - one elephant, many hippos and Nile crocodiles, plenty of birds. Information about these was given constantly. The sunset was beautiful. If you are fortunate enough to visit Victoria Falls then I highly recommend this to you.

Relaxing trip with great food and drinks whilst watching the wildlife on and around the river as the sun sets. The crew are attentive and helpful and the boat itself is comfortable and well maintained. There was a lovely serenade from the staff at the end.

I was expecting a dinner on this cruise but got light bites that were not very appetizing. Drinks were good.
