Victoria Falls Helicopter Tour

Fantastic experience not to be missed.we were picked up at the precise time and the crew were very professional.

The helicopter ride was really beautiful and felt safe. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 was that I had a less than optimal seat in the helicopter that impacted the overall enjoyment. I was directly behind the pilot (so sitting backward) which means all the things the pilot is describing are NOT viewable by me when he is describing them, which was a bit disappointing. Also, there was no open part of the window like the rear seats had so all my pictures are through plexiglass have have a reflection on them. But, it was still an enjoyable excursion and a beautiful view of the falls!

Exhilarating, thoroughly think it’s worthwhile doing from above and again in the Park itself. Well organised staff could not be more accommodating and Captain Andrew made us all feel very welcome, he’s a rugby man what would you expect, although he’s a fair weather fan of the Springboks.😆

This is truly a not to be missed experience. It’s definitely not an inexpensive thing to do, but I highly, highly recommend it.Everything was handled very professionally. We loved our flight. We got an incredible photos. We were the last flight of the day at 5 o’clock in August and the light was awesome.

Pick up was punctual and friendly. The experience itself is amazing and made you feel safe. The views over Victoria Falls are spectacular. If the opportunity arises to fly over Victoria Falls, take it

Great experience. Go early morning if you can. Iconic way to see a natural wonder of the world. Only distracted was the fees. Not sure why these arwntly included in the initial booking but it would make it simpler and enhance the experience if they were. TY 🙏

There are about $40 in additional fees. An hour before our flight, we were contacted and told this needed to be paid in cash, so it was a bit of a hassle getting to an ATM on short notice. Our driver was friendly and picked us up right on time. The tour was a once in a lifetime experience with incredible views. After the tour, our guide, Gift, gave us a link to review, asked us to mention his name, tapped my phone on the 5 star review for Guide, and watched over our shoulders until we completed the review. Many companies encourage good reviews but never with this much control. It made a remarkable experience end in an uncomfortable way.

I paid online but when I arrived the site a black guy singled me out and asked for US$25 extra. He said it is for helicopter parking fees. I asked why I was the only person here to be asked to pay more, he then waived the charge. I was alone to join this flight. All the fees should be made transparent.

View from the top can never be compared to viewing on the ground. The splendor and spectacular waterfall curtain can be seen in its entirety. Watch the mighty Zambezi and its islands as the ravaging flow approaches the waterfall and turn into the meandering gorge. Far down below emerges water from the power generating tunnel producing electricity for Livingstone hydro power station. The helicopter route is well planned for an efficient view from above. Definitely a “flight of the angels”!!

We felt this company was very customer focussed. The flight height above the falls.was ideal and at the right pace. The pilot also found some animals on the way back, when we expressed an interest. The video was also well put together (the guy should get a bonus on each sale).

A must do…fabulous views of the Falls….better than from on the ground. Put on bug spray though as the terminal has quite a few

A great experience, we travelled as a group of 4 and flew 2x2 (2 in each of 2 short trips). Very friendly, professional team. Awesome photos, videos and memories to keep.

Flight was great but furious to discover that everything booked and paid for online as a present for my husband and 2 children, only for them to arrive and be charged an extra 75USD on top of the cost originally paid as a "park fee" . No warning just refused to fly unless we coughed up the extra. Very unimpressed. Be upfront about ALL the charges.

Very professionnal and nice team. Wonderful experience over the falls and wildlife (elephants and girafs) . We felt in safety and relax...and we were lucky to have a private flight for me and my wife.

Flight was fantastic with superb views. The downside was on the day we were told we had to pay an extra 25 USD each for petrol this was not mentioned at time of booking

Excellent flight over the falls. The 15 minute flight was adequate to get a good sense of this phenomenal place. Worth the money.

The ride itself was fantastic. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 is that I listed my hotel being in Livingstone, Zambia, and it was confirmed. I was failed to be notified I needed to meet the driver at the border that they wouldn’t come to my hotel. I didn’t find out this information until the day before when I called them to see what the pick up time was. This information should be on the site or in the confirmation email. Everyone was cordial and helpful.

Amazing views and worth the cost if you can afford. Its an amazong experience seeing animals from the sky - completely different perspective to add to our safari experience.

This is my third experience with mjair, and it has been nothing short of exceptional. The professionalism and high-quality service were evident from the hotel pickup, through check-in, during the flight, and in the trip video. Everything was excellent—no complaints whatsoever. The team was delightful, the helicopter was spotless, and the flight was smooth. They even took the time to show us some wildlife along the way. I highly recommend them!

Incredible tour of the falls. The pilot gave us fantastic views of the falls and plenty of opportunity to take photos and videos. We also saw animals on the banks of the Zambezi. Modern, new facility and helicopters. Large windows and lots of space. We went about 2pm and the light was spot on.

What a beautiful experience. I booked it a couple of hours before on the same day. They reached out to me and everything was so easy. For those who are staying in Zambia side, they can arrange for you to be taken to the Zimbabwe border for an extra fee and then, they pick you up from the other side take you to the helicopter point (not on the description but was easy to sort out). The pilot was amazing, 20 years of experience. The video they make for you is nice! Truly breathtaking experience.

Fantastic company. Pilot had over 25 years experience. Pick up on time. Friendly staff who ensured we were properly briefed. Trip over the national park and Vic Falls. We saw animals from the air and elephants swimming in the Zambesi. We circled over the falls and had amazing views and pics. Also could buy a video and put pictures for 30 dollars. Booked through Savannah Adventures Tours.

We did this tour with MJAir and is was brilliant glad we chose these guys. We were picked up from our hotel on time and taken to the airfield. Once there we were weighed! and shown to the helicopter which was fantastic as it had just 4 seats and the pilot was using one of them so unobstructed views for all. My wife sat in the fron and I was in the back and you didnt miss a thing. A short ride to the falls and then over and around them a few times and back over the Zambezi river watching the elephants crossing through the river. Back on ground we were offered photos and a video of our trip for around $30 and then taken back to the hotel. It pretty much does what it says it does, after all its a 15 min tour, but having said that the fact that the helicopter was small and so everyone gets a view I think elevates this to a great experience.

This was a very memorable experience for our family of 4 (2 children). We are happy that we purchased a professionally made film of our experience from the on-site photographer for US$30. We have watched it over and over and sent it to family and friends. While not really related to the experience itself, please be aware of the misleading wording on Viator in regard to extra fees. You will need to pay an extra US$25 per person for this; not $15 park fees per person and one lot of $10 fuel levy as it reads on Viator. This is worth it but could be an issue if you don’t come prepared with the extra money because of what is written.

Distressed to be filmed without my knowledge to begin with and without my consent. Even after I asked not to be filmed it continued. So NOT impressed

Unbelievable, the view was incredible! Even though it was dry season, so the falls aren’t in full flow, it was awesome, still highly recommend! Our pilot also found a herd of elephants and giraffes for us - just magical! Pilot was a lovely man, answered all my questions!

It's simply a "must-do" experience to see Vic Falls from above! Seeing elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebra and more was also great fun.

The whole experience, from booking, through being picked up and taken to the airstrip to the flight itself, was highly professional. Being able to see the spectacular falls from the air to seeing hippos, elephants and a giraffe with babies was amazing. Thank you to the whole team at MJAir for helping us make special memories. What a memorable experience! Well worth the money, the only regret I have is that I took the 15minute one and not the 30min. Afterwards they give you the option to buy the video for R500 but you are also allowed to take your own camera and cell with.

This company is so professional from our first enquiry to the pick up, to the flight and afterwards. They run a very slick operation whereas I even wanted to go back up the next day. The staff are so friendly and the route they fly over the falls gives everyone in the helicopter an incredible view. Our wonderful pilot even pointed out elephants and hippoes to us. Then if course the video production at the end simply wound up a perfect memory.

‘MJ Air’ is one of the leading service providers of the Helicopter Scenic Flight over Victoria Falls at a very good price. Their hospitality was second to none. We received a brief orientation and pre-flight briefing. In addition, weigh-in of passengers was a fun-filled experience. The flight sets off on a helipad and the ascents are energetic as the view of the falls gets into the proximity. Water rising in a white cloud that looks like white smoke, could be one of the majestic views that any human being can have in a lifetime. Flying above the green vegetation leading up to the falls brings serenity, tranquillity as well as spiritual comfort. The pilot in command was very hospitable and accommodating to us, giving us key information when we needed it. Both long range and short range views were possible including some opportunities to take scenic photos. After going up and down with the MJ Air helicopter, we descended back towards the helipad where it all started. The disembarking process was very hustle-free and there were a few opportunities for taking photos. The ground crew provided assistance all the way through. A key element of MJ Air services, is the fact that they pick you from the hotel accommodation; in a great sign of hospitality. The Helicopter Scenic Flight over Victoria Falls is worth undertaking in one’s lifetime, to view one of the greatest treasures that have been given to humankind by the Creator. The next time you stop at Victoria Falls, it will be worthwhile to take a feel of the Helicopter Scenic Flight over Victoria Falls though MJ Air.

To appreciate the greatness of the Victoria Falls, do it from the sky, then only will you realise exactly what ‘The Smoke that Thunders’ means.

I have seen the Victoria Falls on the Zimbabwe several times on foot. The Mjair company provided us with transport to their helipad, we were welcomed by the hostess and they took our weights. Flight took off and what a site to behold. I managed to capture beautiful photographs of the falls. The gorges and vegetation from up above are so beautiful that 15 minutes look like 1 minute but the experience is worth it.

Hotel pickup, transfer to the launch site, short briefing and off we went. Victoria Falls from above is a great experience and you get a nice impression of the scale. The onward flight over the Zambezi and the nature park was characterized by numerous animal sightings. After landing, we reviewed the video of the flight, and then it was time to head back. Even my anxious partner was thrilled.

Very beautiful experience! Too bad that we have to pay a surplus ($37 per person!) on top of the already high price of the flight

Given the very narrow configuration of the falls, the helicopter flight is essential because it allows you to see the fault well, which you cannot do on foot. The organization of mjairvest is very structured and reassuring.

Absolutely spectacular. We were only on the sightseeing flight and then knew exactly where we were during the walk through the park. Team absolutely professional and courteous. As one reviewer noted earlier, don't be irritated: there were only 25USD fees per person for the shorter flight. Euro go too, rate 1:1 of course:-) The video is highly recommended, but is shown before purchase.

Unique experience. The views are breathtaking, the pilot is very friendly and so is the rest of the ground crew. One of the best experiences we have ever had.
