As you cruise on the upper Zambezi River you will get a chance to see the mist rising up from the Victoria Falls.
Zambezi River is within the Zambezi National Park and as you cruise along you will have a chance to spot some wildlife along the river.

A truly wonderful experience. The trip from beginning to end was exceptionally well planned. The boat stopped to point out hippos and wildlife. The staff were very well informed. The boat drifted far away enough to allow us to watch the elephants crossing with safety of elephants and humans in mind. We witnessed the magnificent sunset while a feasting on the delicious meal. Wow, all the boat lights were switched off, allowing us to gaze at the stunning stars. Well done. What an absolute WOW
A great introduction to Victoria Falls. The staff was very attentive, the food was delicious and they accommodated my husband’s allergies very well. We did inform they ahead of the cruise. Watching hippos at sunset was a very special experience.
**The Four-Hour Dinner Cruise on the Zambezi: Slow Water, Sunset, and the Moon** One of the best I have done, and I have done a few. I chose the four-hour dinner cruise, the long one, for I wanted the calm of it, the serene, the sunset taken slowly like a drink, and not some hastened business with the clock at one's elbow. We were fetched from the lodge on the Zimbabwe side and carried down to the water. The cruise began on time, yes, on the minute. And there on the banks of the Zambezi, birds, birds, many and various, and the hippos, grey and half-sunk and watching, and far off, over the trees, the mist of Victoria Falls rising like a thought not yet spoken. I was ecstatic. The vegetarian spread did not fail us, no, and the drinks kept coming, coming, as the river comes. The service was prompt and easy, the crew helpful, everyone. The boat went along the bank, and that was all, and that was everything: a peace, a slow gliding. The food was well spaced, plate after plate in its own good time, and filling. And then the dark came down, and the moon on the water, unreal, a coin of silver laid upon the black, and it was calm, and quiet, and almost too much to bear, the stillness of it, and I felt it, yes, in my heart, emotional, the dark and the water and the long soft hush. Towards the end the crew sang to us. Two songs, voices over the river, and then we were brought back to our lodging, as it were, through the night. Do bring your cap and your glasses and your camera. It is romantic, I'll say it, very romantic. Highly, highly recommended !!!

Well organised and dinner was lovely and staff were great. It was open bar and unfortunately the 2 young Australian men sitting next to us were obviously taking full advantage of it to the point where they were so drunk and loud and had gotten into loud verbal arguments with each other and swearing as well that it was ruining the experience of the other guests. I wish the staff had perhaps politely stepped in and intevened.
Excellent experience. Great food and lovely sunset and scenery. Nice entertainment too. We saw several elephants, a few hippos and crocodiles.

Definitely do this ! Great value ... You get the cruise , a great four course meal and any drinks you want. So good to sit on the upper deck drinking bubbly watching the sun go down over the Zambezi river looking out for elephants , hippos and crocs.

The trip was excellent, food and drink were of a high standard. The only negative was that our pick up was 30 mins late.
Lots of fun, good atmosphere, good food, plenty of drinks and if you're lucky like we were, you will see elephants enter the water and go for a swim. Decent value for money compared to other VF tourist activities considering the meal is included. Do this at the end of your stay to unwind.
Dinning experience was far above what I expected. It was a combo of fine dinning & safari cruise tied into one neat package! We were even blessed enough to see two of the big five(elephants & rhinos! It was topped off by a picturesque sunset!
If you can choose a way to end your vacation, this is the way to go! Pure Africa was fabulous. The boat was pristine and beautiful. Line and fresh flowers on the table. Service was wonderful, and the food was as also amazing! I highly recommend this to end your journey!
It got dark and was unable to see much. They had a power outage leaving us in the darrk, but it was still ok. Only 2 story boat and we sat upstairs, which we liked.

Beautiful cruise on the Zambezi with some cute animal sitings and great food. The atmosphere was tranquil and relaxing. All of the staff were attentive and welcoming. The food was also excellent and fresh. We had so much fun on this cruise and definitely recommend for anyone in Victoria Falls!

Enjoyed the peaceful cruise on the Zambezi River with great service and food. At times, the boat floated with no engine running while you were eating and enjoying the surroundings . Comfortable seating with your own table. Everyone had a great view!
A fabulous way to end my four week holiday to Africa! The four course dinner was fabulous - wonderful food. Plenty of drinks to enjoy. The staff were wonderful, particularly Pru :-) The cruise was lovely and serene; the sunsets amazing; and we did see wildlife (although I had already done four safaris across Namibia and Botswana so had seen lots of amazing wildlife prior). Totally recommend this cruise!
Easy way to get out and see some wildlife from the river. The hotel transfer was smooth, and the boat was well-appointed for a beautiful sunset cruise. The open bar served local gins which was a nice touch, and the food was quite good considering it was being cooked on a boat! A great way to settled into the Victoria Falls region.
Sunset was majestic! The waiters were great, we asked for suggestions and they were right on the picks for the menu. The food was perfect, will definitely never forget!

A fantastic evening on the Zambezi River. The cruise itself was excellent, with beautiful scenery and a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were fabulous—friendly, attentive and provided excellent service throughout. The food was okay but could have been better. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience and well worth doing while visiting Victoria Falls.

This activity is a MUST in Victoria Falls. The views are stunning, the food is delicious, and a chance at animal sightings is a plus! While on this excursion, I saw hippos, monkeys, warthogs, and elephants. The sunset views were spectacular! If you get chilly once the sun sets, just ask for a blanket. Lastly, upon arrival to the loading dock, there's a $12 USD fee per participant that can be paid by either cash or card.
The Zambezi River Dinner Cruise was one of the most relaxing experiences of our trip to Victoria Falls. Watching the sunset over the river while spotting wildlife created a completely different perspective from our game drives. We saw hippos, crocodiles and other wildlife along the shoreline, and a variety of birdlife while enjoying drinks and appetizers on deck. The atmosphere was peaceful, and there was plenty of space to move around the boat for photos and wildlife viewing. Dinner was excellent, with attentive service throughout the evening. Our group included vegan, vegetarian, and omnivorous diners, and everyone was well accommodated with delicious options. The staff were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, pointing out wildlife along the way without making the experience feel rushed. If you’re visiting Victoria Falls, I’d highly recommend adding this cruise to your itinerary. It’s a perfect way to unwind after a day of activities and offers beautiful scenery, great food, and an unforgettable sunset on the Zambezi River.

Everything from collection to return is so well organised. The cruise is really special. Seeing the stunning sunset, animals on the shore, and the delicious food as we travelled along, helped with unlimited drinks.
We were picked up from our lodge on time, by a very friendly driver. The operation was slick and felt special. Service was excellent, the food great, a fabulous evening.
My dad and I had a great experience on the dinner cruise with Pure Africa. I was skeptical about spending this much to add dinner versus just doing a sunset cruise, but I must say it was worthwhile. An intimate and relaxing three-hour food with excellent food and unbeatable atmosphere. This was a particularly good way to start our trip coming straight from the airport - the Pure Africa staff were great with communication as we navigated a delayed flight and ended up missing our pickup but instead taking the airport taxi straight to the cruise. There were no more than 30 guests aboard, which made for a relaxing experience not offered by all providers. The highlight for me was getting a sense for the geography of the river above the falls! It’s easier to see the gorges below, but the wide and majestic Zambezi above the falls is something to behold.
It was beautiful. Everything was very well organised - from the pick up from the hotel, to the full cruise and dinner. A person who was in comm with me on the email answered all the questions that I had in advance and did not leave details unhandled. Me and my wife were celebrating our anniversary and it was an incredible experience. Thank you!
