We have done, zip lining many times around the world at different places, and this tour experience was one of the very best and we would highly recommend it. The people were friendly and actually had three people that did the zip lining with my wife and myself to make sure we were safe!
A great zip line tour; we had 3 staff with only 2 of us (one of them was taking photos). Really friendly and professional and they ensured that we got the most out of the experience. Definitely a great way to see some of the gorge below the falls.
A hugely enjoyable experience made all the better by our guides Andrew and Sebastian. A total of 9 zip wires over the Zambezi river. All very safely completed. Magnificent views.
The zip line was fun! The guides, Joe and Andrew were awesome! I was scared, so Joe went with me on all nine lines! Recommend this excursion!
Easy and fun ziplines! The guides were very fun to work with and made everyone in our party feel safe and well taken care of.
Lots of fun and great views of the gorge and Zambezi River.
suitable for families and people of all ages, this adventure featured nine zip lines criss crossing the canyon near victoria Falls. We were impressed by the professionalism and attention to safety by the two gentlemen who led us through the course. A photographer also accompanied our group of three and made a really cool video of our experience. $15 asked for a file of photos and a video. Can't beat it! Highly recommend!! loads of fun!
9 ziplines here as you make your way down part way into the gorge and then have a small hike back up. Gorgeous views. Felt very safe the entire time as there is redundancy built in all along and the guides are awesome. Guides Reason (sp?), Joe and Gary were a ton of fun. Can't recommend this enough to anyone, but especially great for families.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. The vans were clean, water was available. The tour was excellent, we walked the whole path and had plenty of time for viewing.
Great experience! The guides were phenomenal and I felt very safe. They took their time and was very patient with me
Great guides, nice runs, beautiful views.
Advertised as a family activity for all ages adults over 65 should be cautioned about steep down slopes and climbes between the points which none of the reviewers had pointed out. It is worth its while though with fantastic views if the gorge and thrill of zipping through many points. The help staff including the ones that suit you up and accompany you throughout the ride are really wonderful and very patient i would syrongly recommend this activity.
Take camera if on a lanyard. Very safe and the guides look after you well. Bit of a steep trek back up once finished. Photos and videos are taken which are good and not pricey. Ziplines are 9, not particularly challenging or long
Nice hotel. Clean and friendly staff. Prepare to relax when ordering lunch….normal wait from order to receipt about 45 min. Not an issue if enjoying the weather
Awesome zip lining. I was on my own with two instructors and the photographer. Great location, 9 slides, it was a lot of fun.
This is honestly a 5 star high class experience! We are an adventuring family of 4 from Australia (2A 2C G14 B11) and we booked this the day before as our rafting trip was cancelled due to flooding. We had a fantastic time, all the guides were very safety oriented, and it was very professionally run. The zip lines run along the side of the canyon and the views of the river are spectacular. We also indulged in the media package and all our friends and family delighted at our experience too!
Just great fun, at a great location, interspersed with a spectacular view, enjoyable for the whole family.
What fun! A group of seven of us did this Canopy Tour. The joke was on me when we arrived and the guides started helping us with harnesses and gloves -- "Wait, wha?! What do you mean, this is zip lining?" Somehow it never sunk in that "Canopy Tour" really meant ziplining across the Zambezi River gorge...I honestly was thinking we would be walking through the canopy on suspension bridges (think Capilano Suspension Bridge Treetops in Vancouver, British Columbia). Well, after I got over the shock, I found it to be a very cool first-time-ever-ziplining experience! Did not have a fear of heights --but did struggle a bit everytime when we first had to jump off the box! The guides were terrific, patient and helpful. Shoutout to Dingy and Gift. "Aim for the box!" "Keep your hand behind you!" The rocky climb back up after it was all over was a little challenging --- but mostly because it was hot and humid. We were delighted too that the base location for the tour was at the Lookout Cafe --where we had just a day earlier enjoyed a lovely meal there. The warthog family feeding on the grounds was an added touch to a wonderful experience. Thank you Wild Horizons! And thanks for having the photographer follow along and capture our memorable experience!
Just listen to your guides they are amazing with great patience and know what their doing and how to keep you safe !
Very good - would do it again Please note its done on the Zim side of the border so if you are in Zambia apply online for Immigration to get quick processing
This was an excellent activity by Wild Horizons. The guides were extremely helpful and quite patient with the kids. It was an awesome experience for family.
Had a blast on this zipline, only the second we have done. Fantastic views of the river and canyon. Was a bit of a rocky scramble walking back up but would highly recommend this. Guides were helpful and safety conscious. We are in our early 70's and in fairly good shape.
Kids loved it and as a bonus the grown ups got entry to the Lookout Cafe which is almost impossible to book direct.
The canopy tour was a super relaxed but fun introduction to ziplining, and even my husband who's afraid of heights had a great time! Surrounded by the gorgeous view of the Batoka gorge and with the help of our guides, Michael and Gift, we had a great time and would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who would like to have a go at some ziplines whilst also enjoying the surroundings.
Everything about this adventure was perfect. On time pickup, our pair of guides, the zip lining itself, and the views from high above the Zambezi river gorge all exceeded our expectations. Our guides were extremely safety conscious and provided detailed explanations of how to safely maneuver ourselves on the zip line. This really helped my wife and I to relax and enjoy the multiple lines that we used to cross cross the gorge. When you start, you are very high up above the gorge which can be quite intimidating if you are afraid of heights and/or never have zip lines as was the case for my wife and I. Our guides were patient with us and were able to calm our nerves by explaining in detail how the zip line works and what to do and not do. Have to say, the views from up there were spectacular. Think we did a total of nine zip lines which got easier to manage with each one. By the second or third, we felt like pros. Well worth the price for sure. A real memory maker!
Great experience with excellent guides. But bus arrived 30 minutes late for the pickup with no effort to contact us. We were in a difficult pickup spot at the Zimbabwe Vic Falls border.
We booked via Viator and had a confirmation that we would be picked up at The Royal Livingstone Hotel in Zambia. The morning of the tour we still had not heard from the actual operator so we reached out to them and they said that they were not picking us up at our hotel and we had to make our own way to the border despite having the confirmation that they would. We did make our way to the border where we were sup to be picked up once again there was no one to pick us up. Luckily our driver from the Royal Livingstone drove us to the activities center. Once there we did enjoy the canopy tour and our guide, Knowledge, was excellent and fun
This was a great activity with amazing views. Safety was taken very seriously and all 3 guides were super helpful and friendly.
This zipline experience was so much fun with gorgeous views of the gorge. Our family of 4, including 2 kids ages 11 and 14, had a blast. It was HOT but thankfully the guides brought a lot of water to keep us hydrated. Lunch at the Lookout Cafe afterwards was breathtaking. Highly recommend!
We had a lot of fun zip lining (9 in total) across the trees and gorge. Our 8 year old son loved it and we felt very safe.
I got to experience the zip lines with my 78 year-old father. What else can I say? The views are breathtaking and our experience was amazing. The guide gift was great and we definitely felt safe out there.
Excellent trip, it did take a lot more energy than I expect from my previous zip line experience but this was an altogether different experience. This is the king of zip lines. Both of my guides were amazing. Thanks guys.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with the Wild Horizon Canopy Tour! Our facilitators Jo and Sebastian were excellent. They made us feel very comfortable and safe, even though I was very anxious. A wonderful activity in beautiful Vic Falls!
Guides were friendly and knowledgeable. Those taking the tour should be aware that they have walk up hill an appreciable distance at high attitude. They may get winded.
I really had a fantastic time. We get to zip line 8 times and see the river a couple of times . Great views. A bit of hiking in between and at the end. Loved that little suspension bridge!
Very safety conscious. First timer loved it. Staff great. Would recommend it. 9 ziplines made for an enjoyable experience.
Fun activity and the company were good with picking up and dropping off to and from hotels. Lovely views and friendly and fun guides :))))
We really enjoyed the canopy tour, the 9 zip wires are great. It's worth bearing in mind that it's not so much a tour and the canopy, it's just about the zip wires. The WH website says there will be "opportunities to learn about the diverse flora and fauna of the region" but that didn't happen at all on our tour, we were just taken to the 9 zip wires. I'm not much of a thrill seeker and was a bit nervous of the zip wires but they were fine for me, not scary at all. In total we spent about an hour on the tour, including the walk back up which took about 15 minutes.
I was welcomed by friendly tour guides that made my day so special, thank you. I kinda felt like I paid less for the activity though 🙈
Seeing the water, hearing it, smelling it an experiencing it was amazing. Guide was well prepared. Will do it again.
Don’t go with wild horizons. Bona , our guide did nothing . He did not inform us or guide us with any information whatsoever about the view points . He only walked with us .he stood at the top with his closed umbrella . One was better off going and doing the falls alone . A waste of money and their attitude was like it or leave it. !!! I will never use them again . Totally disappointed.
Canopy Zipline was so much fun the guides are just great very helpful especially for short people getting harness's hooked up. Could not recommend this activity highly enough. Would do it again if we came back.
BRILLIANT! I was a little unsure about this… I thought - because it wasn't one of the crazy ones over the gorge - that this would be tucked away as an after thought. But it wasn't. We got some great views and the children (9 and 10) loved it. There were some long zip lines at quite some height too. It took about an hour, and the two guides were great. The first guide took my iPhone so he could get photos and videos of us coming along which was a great touch. Would definitely recommend.
Beautiful zip lining through the canyons around the Zambezi river! Breath taking views and exceptional guides! We had a blast! It also felt like a personal/private tour as we weren’t standing around waiting in line! It was like the whole place was ours alone! Thank you so so much!
Good vfm considering others have one zip line, this has 9, although it's a fast paced experience so be prepared for that. Note the guide takes water. Was great fun, can see the bridge and the falls if you look on some of the longer zips. Great to have hotel pick up and drop off too
The Canopy Tour is a much less challenging activity than the Zip-Line or Bungee Jump - so suitable for pensioners like us! It was a well-guided activity and much care taken to keep us safe. Full and heartily recommend - and ven although the climb back up from the bottom was steep - it is very possible with a replaced knee.
We didn’t really know what to expect but absolutely loved the Canopy Tour! The guides were great and all of the safety features and equipment made us feel secure and safe. I would highly recommend this for anyone from children to active seniors like us!
The views were amazing. Very happy with the safety. guide was helpful and very patient. the facilities next to the tour were great, and the walk back up was much shorter than was feared by us all.
Unfortunately, this tour never happened, even though we very much wanted to do it. Our group of 5 was scheduled to be picked up at 2 p.m. The tour operator did not contact us in the days leading up to the tour, and did not contact us the day of the tour. No one showed to pick us up at 2 p.m. and, after I sent an email and WhatsApp note, it wasn't until 3:40 p.m. that the operator got back to me and said the tour was not taking place. Very disappointing. Wild Horizons is the tour operator and has a big presence in the Victoria Falls area -- I expected far better treatment from this company. We had great experience with Maano Adventures in the Victoria Falls area -- punctual, reliable, and most friendly.
