Mostly disappointing. The way the tables are set out is really poorly planned. We were sitting all the way in the corner at the back where we couldn't see out appreciate any of the drum show or dancing at all. The waiter didn't bother explaining anything to us and we felt quite ignored. It wasn't until later when we flagged another waiter and explained that no one had come by, explained the process, or asked to take a drink order that we finally got attention. We also requested if we could have a different table that didn't make us feel excluded. Our table was only swapped until after we ate dinner when another pair had left early. Because of how the tables are designed when it came to the actual dance and drum show the people in the back will come forward and stand in the way in front of the main viewing part so most of the seated members can't actually see anything. The food was only OK. All in all, I think this is really overhyped and not worth the price.

Second time at the BOMA after 10 years , still just as good as before. Food was great , loads of choices and they cater for vegetarians too. Have the Mopane Worm certificate to prove I ate one !
A tremendous night out, with amazing food and a fantastic African drum and dance show, which involved all the audience. Excellent service from staff too. Well worth it!
The dinner food part was excellent but the show was disappointing since it did not include any traditional dancers as they are used on all the photo advertising for this combined experience. Instead, it only had drum performance and ended 30 minutes earlier at 9:20pm instead of the advertised 10pm. Hence this false advertisement should be corrected.
The customer service, food quality, experience, and ambiance is rich and welcoming. As a solo traveler, they had me one table to myself - that felt affirming and acknowledged.
Food was great, atmosphere was amazing. Tried many authentic dishes and loved them all
It was okay. Not my kind of entertainment but I can see the enjoyment people get from the experience.
The venue was authentic, the food was plentiful and delicious, the music and dancing was good BUT There were far too many people crammed into the space. The buffet was chaotic, you couldn't see the dishes. It felt rushed. Our tabke was at the top at the back meaning we couldn't see the show. Not worth the money ! V disappointing.
It was a nice experience but for the price I would have expect food to be cooked better. I couldn't cut through my piece of steak and it was less than 10 mm width. There were a few good options to choose from like the pork, punkin herbs, pap and braai chicken but would recommend that they improve the quality of cooking. The entertainment was great, however I didn't like that people kept coming to the table trying to sell other services. Lastly the night was very rushed, there was no time to absorbed the setting and talent or to speak to my partner.
Although it was pricey it was worth it. Plenty of food choices and the entertainment was fantastic. Be prepared to join in and have fun .
What a beautiful experience. We enjoyed the food and the show was extra ordinary. Very nice people from reception, waiters and the Chefs.
This a fantastic way to spend an evening at Victoria Falls. The energy of the dancers and drummers is intoxicating and truly fabulous. Everyone gets a drum and joins in - really really great fun. All the staff are very keen to ensure you have a great time and their smiles are infectious. Absolutely recommend this evening to everyone, whatever your age.
A wonderful evening, everything was excellent, organisation, food , & entertainment. I would love to do it again.
BOMA service rep is great They tried to cater to our meals requirement Even the chef comes out to make sure we have a good meal Plus all the drums entertainment
The whole experience is great from being scared to death by the welcome from a warrior, to dressing up and entering to African music. The dinner buffet is fantastic with the meat being cooked over a open fire as well as cooked on the buffet line. The welcome is so warm. The show is fantastic and we all get to join in with your own drum. You won't easily forget the experience.
Great night out with good food and entertainment. The price included transfers from the hotel where we were staying
Great show but food was not hot despite being there when the food has just come out. Chicken was very small portions and dry. Not enough offerings for non-meat eaters, ie fish etc
The tour operator is fine. Pick up on time. Food and show are just ok. A good choice of hot and cold items. Show is typical Africa drums.
Loads of fun, good food and refreshments. Lots of dancing and drumming by the cast and audience. Top show!
There were dancers and drummers and plenty of food. I tried impala and lean. Meat was a bit tough, stir fry vegetables were a bit undercooked. Their was audience participation playing the drums.
Even though I stayed in Livingston Zambia, Africa Travel Tours made all the necessary arrangements for me to attend the Boma Dinner in Zimbabwe. A driver took me to the border and assisted with the Zimbabwe immigration formalities and handed me off to another driver in Zimbabwe. He waited for me at the border until the end of the show and drove me back to the hotel. The show itself was lots of fun and the food was excellent.
No question this is a 100% tourist trap… but it’s a great way to spend the evening. You’re greeted by African dancers and dressed up complete with welcome face paint. The show itself is quite short but once finished, there’s a lot of audience participation with the drums. There’s a wide selection of mainstream food and all you can eat buffet. Great atmosphere and authentically decorated. A few side shows such as fortune telling, etc to while away the night and some vendors selling paintings, etc. Super busy so book in advance.
Food galore, the show was ok, nothing to write home about. It's good that pick up is offered, makes it really convenient
The food was good, nothing spectacular but everything we had was good. The all you can eat buffet style was nice. I am a vegetarian, my partner is not, they did have vegetarian options which was nice but it definitely is more catered toward non-vegetarians which I expected and makes sense since the dinner in part showcases local cuisine which is more meat-based. Also any alcoholic beverages came with an extra charge. There were brief performances throughout the dinner culminating in a drum performance in which everyone was given a small drum near their table and was encouraged to play along with/become part of the show. There was no "singling out" of audience members, everyone used their drums while sitting at their seats so for those who are shy you won't have to worry about that. After the drum show portion when dinner had wrapped up guests were invited/encouraged to get on the floor and dance. Overall we had fun and it was a nice experience on our first night in Victoria Falls so if you are looking to try some different foods and have some light entertainment during dinner it was nice but I would not call it a "must do".
Everyone visiting Africa for the first time should do this. From the minute you walk of the transfer bus you are met with excitement, culture and energy. The food was top rate. The drum show is fantastic and the staff are so friendly and attentive. 10/10 from us.
Stunning Location, professional Artists and staff. Exquisite buffet. Very enjoyable and memorable experience for very good price.
This was definitely more fun for my kids than us adults. Food was plentiful, but not the most flavorful. Very attentive and kind staff. You will be hit up with performances from the moment you exit your taxi throughout the meal. The drum performance was very fun, and we all enjoyed drumming along. Overall a fun, family-friendly evening.
The dinner was nice but everything else was bad . The operator didn’t come to pick me up as supposed to per your . Lots of stress
Dinner and dance were super. It is worthwhile to spending our time. Many kinds of meats, powerful music and drumming made us happy.
Late pickup, food wasn't great, missed the start due to late pickup. We missed part of the experience so was disappointed
The food was good and varied and I enjoyed the show. But the drinks were very expensive compared to anywhere else in Zimbabwe. You are not given a price list or indication of the cost and I got a shock at the end of the evening.
Great food and a great show. Drummers and dancers were very good. Lots of food including Wart Hog, Crocodile, and Water Buffalo.
Brilliant night price included transport to and from Boma venue. Our package only included entertainment and food, the meal was self service and you were encouraged to try everything from the wide range of food for both meat eaters and vegetarians. The bar served branded drinks and were reasonably priced. We were picked up on time by Peace and he ensured we got back to our lodge. The evening was very interactive with traditional dancers and drummers, both were exceptional. The night ended with a dance off and we were all encouraged to join in, but not compulsory!!
It was cancelled last minute (although it was confirmed for 5 days) by the agency! We only had 1 night int he country, so we could not reschedule! Poorly managed, but fully refunded in the end!
Great dinner program in a rustic setting, better here than n Cape Town inner city, different atmosphere and feels like we ready in wild Africa. My friend won the dance with the drum leader. Added great memories in our South Africa journey.
