Victoria Falls And Chobe

We were picked up from the border on time. Communication on route to hotel was very helpful. Service was very friendly and professional. Received great advice.

Fungayi was a fantastic help in organising our family party of 14 ( from grandparents to grandchildren!) to combine two tours into one. So we had Vic Falls, Chobe and Hwange, plus lots of "extras", especially for the grandchildren, who had never been to Africa before. Not only did he organise it all, but he and his wife acted as our guides for the whole trip. All in all a wonderful experience, and I cannot recommend him and his company highly enough.

A big thank you to Fungayi at AfroHoneyGuides for an exciting stay in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. I found AfroHoneyGuides here on TripAdvisor a year ago. We planned this trip a year in advance. We wanted to visit Vic Falls after a 4,200km self-drive around Namibia with Steve McCullagh and Great Road Journeys. We took our chances with AHG and started our booking through liaising with Fungayi. We selected the 4 Days / 3 Nights package that included transfer services from & to Vic Falls Airport, Zimbabwe, accommodation in Vic Falls (we chose PheZulu Guest Lodge which we also rate highly), a visit to The Falls, a safari drive in Chobe NP, Botswana (just over an hour away), and a river safari on the Chobe River in the afternoon. Lunch was included on the Botswana day. We also had additional excursions to chose from for our spare time. We chose a visit to two animal conservation centres where we literally walked with a cheetah at one, and three lions at the other. I’m not comfortable with any animals so this really was an unforgettable experience. We also paid for a “Boma” dinner evening at a nearby lodge. Overall we were very well looked after. Fungayi personally picked us up and dropped us off. He briefed us well on collection times & drop-off times. He was always punctual. Fungayi was very friendly, open, and easy to talk to. It’s always a bit concerning sending money abroad to someone you don’t know, but in the end there was nothing to worry about. If you are on the same journey as we had we recommend (if visas apply to you) to get a “double entry” visa at the airport. They were US$70 pp. the boarder crossing in to Botswana was straight forward. Fungayi literally hands you over to his Botswana counterpart at the border who helps you through the simple process. My wife is exploring the possibility of returning for the half-marathon one July. Without doubt we would use Fungayi and AHG again for all our arrangements.

Fungayi was such a pleasure to work with. He was very accommodating and genuine! He added several excursions to our itinerary based on our requests. We had such a fabulous time in Zimbabwe. All of the guides and excursions were amazing. Fungayi made sure to check in with us and made sure we had transportation to each one of our excursions. Highly recommend booking with Fungayi!

HIGHLY recommend Afro Honeyguides and their excursions! From the moment we were met at the airport, it was a truly amazing experience. Fungayi and his guides are so knowledgeable and proud of their country so it was such a treat to learn from them and experience all they offered. I will absolutely be back and will use them again. I have never experienced such genuine, caring and fun guides in such an incredible location. Victoria Falls is truly something to behold, as is Chobe National Park.

As a solo female traveller I was a bit nervous going alone. I had a wonderful time and everything ran so smoothly. Innocent did an excellent job explaining about the falls on the guided walk. The accommodation Phezulu lodge was clean, comfortable and friendly staff. All pick ups for activities were on time. All staff I encountered for pick ups were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this company.

Top notch experience. Our guides Fungayi and Innocent took such great care of us and accommodated our every need. They provided brilliant local knowledge about the area, sorted all transfers and extra activities that we were interested in doing. They also looked after our accommodation for the 5 days we were around Vic Falls and put us up in the magnificent Nguni lodge (which will also be getting a 5 star review from us). I was on a solo trip and would of been lost without Fungayi. I had a blast on my trip. I got to walk with lions, white water rafting, Victoria falls, Chobe national park and even did the gorge swing despite being terrified of heights. Fungayi always arrived on time and even helped me shop after the airline forgot my luggage. I had the vacation of a lifetime and can't recommend his tours enough. Thanks for everything

We were in VF at the end of Jan 2020 and were very pleased with our tour guide Fungayi from Afro Honeyguide. He was very good and most punctual driver. He made sure we had a wonderful time and showed us so much more than we expected. He was very responsive and very knowledgeable of the region that gave us a good understanding of the surrounding areas. He recommended us good restaurants with excellent food and incredible views. The Boma dinner gave us a much enjoyable night. Apart from a daily programme Fungayi also gave us enough free time to explore different activities. Visit to the Victoria Falls from both sides is amazing and spectacular. We also took a trip down to the bottom of the Victoria Falls from Zambia side, the Boiling Pot which was excellent. We also wish to correct the rumour of dry water in Victoria Falls is not true. Water is flowing as usual, reflecting only the seasonal up and down. Highly recommended Afro Honey Guide and thank you Fungayi!

Our tour guide Fungayi from Afro Honeyguide was the best and most punctual driver ever. If we could we would give him 10 stars! He made sure we had a wonderful time and showed us so much more than we expected. He recommended several restaurants that were very good, two of which had incredible views. He also offered to drive us to and from these restaurants which was in addition to the regular tour. Victoria Falls is spectacular and we saw so many animals at Chobe both close and at a distance. This is a first class company. From the moment we were picked up from the airport by Fungayi to the moment he dropped us back to the airport everything was perfect, we were looked after so very well. We enjoyed the trip so much, the accommodation at Nguni Lodge was first class, spotlessly clean, wonderful staff. The evening river cruise, our day at Victoria Falls and the safari at Chobe and boat cruise were really amazing experiences. From the point of booking Fungayi handled our requests with great professionalism he booked extra activities for us including elephant sanctuary, gorge swing and devils pool and arranged our transport every step of the way. Fungayi you are a credit to Afro Honeyguides a truly first class experience. Well done and thank you for the wonderful time we had you made it perfect 👍🏻👍🏻

It is one of those places wich Is a must visit...... unique, beautifull and amazing. The guides are really professional and friendly, and food and accomodation super good in Victoria Town.

This experience was amazing with exceptional service from the time we were picked up from the airport to the time we were dropped off. Our guide was very friendly and accommodated our needs the entire tour! He had an itinerary each day we were there, while giving us opportunity to do extra activities at our own cost. AfroHoney Guide Adventures was amazing! Fungayi was great and totally made sure that my friends and I had a good time in both Zimbabwe and Botswana. We had a group of 4 that did 2 days in Victoria Falls and 2 days at Chobe National Park in Botswana. He did a great job at coming up with an itinerary that fit all of our needs and still made sure we got to see everything we wanted. We got to stay is very comfortable lodging and all the staff was wonderful. My friends and I thought Victoria Falls was a beautiful spot and we really enjoyed all the of the safaris Fungayi set up for us in Botswana. I highly recommend the afternoon game drives with our guide LT, the sunset safari boat ride with Debbie, and staying at the Kwalape Safari Lodge in Botswana. Fungayi and Afro Honeyguide Adventures was a trip for the books and I completely recommend them for a trip that was both memorable and completely seamless!

We had a GREAT experience with AfroHoney Guide. Our guide, Fungayi was great the entire trip as well leading up to the trip with accommodations and communications. We were a group of 4 that did 2 days in Victoria Falls and 2 days at Chobe National Park. Fungayi had a clear itinerary for each day and also gave us the opportunity to request any specific details to accommodate. All of transfers, boat tours, dinners, lunches, cruises, and safaris were all executed flawlessly, I would 100% recommend! After EXTENSIVE research AfroHoney Guide had the best prices and full accommodations of services.

It was an overall amazing experience. He met us at the hotel at the time agreed in a impeccable van. The visit to Victoria Falls was really nice and he also made the necessary arrangements to visit the Falls from Zambia side. Even deciding spontaneously to visit Livingstone, he organised everything with his partner in Zambia and it all went really smooth. He also organised our helicopter ride over the Falls, the sunset cruise in Zambese, our car- and boat-safaris in Chobe (including the transfer Victoria Falls-Chobe) and the flights from Kasane to Maun. The service is irrepressible. I would totally recommend it to anyone. We even got AfroGuide safari t-shirts :) (see the picture)
