We had a fantastic evening at The Boma. It was much more than just dinner. It felt like a celebration of Zimbabwean culture. The buffet offered a wide variety of local dishes alongside familiar options, making it easy for everyone in our group (including vegetarian and vegan diners) to find plenty to enjoy. The food was fresh and plentiful. The entertainment was the highlight. The live music, traditional dancing, drumming, and interactive performances created an energetic atmosphere without feeling overly staged. The drumming session was especially memorable and had almost everyone participating by the end. The staff were welcoming and kept everything running smoothly despite the large number of guests. If you’re visiting Victoria Falls, I’d recommend doing The Boma early in your stay. It’s a fun introduction to the local culture and one of the most memorable evenings we had during our trip. Arrive hungry and be ready to join in the festivities!
The food was great and the show was a great experience with an interactive twist that engaged the crowd
We went with our guide at his suggestion. This was one our favorite things we did here ( after the falls visits )We played drums, got up and danced, and the food was delicious. Lots of options from meats to veggies and dessert . Smiled the whole time. Well worth going.
We had great transportation.. very prompt and friendly. The show was great and interactive. It was a wonderful last night in Victoria Falls
Great dinner and a great show. Our driver, Last, was timely and took great care of us. A unique and fun evening it in Vic Falls.
A warm African welcome at the door with costumes for all, with African dancing and singing. We went through to a large restaurant with barbecue meats, fish and amazing array of delicious food. Our waitresses Busi was so attentive and helpful made it a wonderful experience. There were dancing and Africa drumming where all got to join in. There was a lady braiding hair anda fortune teller, who looked like a medicine man. The evening was full energy and laughter. They had some lovely trinkets to take home. Everyone was so helpful and kind. Drinks weren’t included but very reasonable prices.
Great food dance and drum show Only offered one drink all night And we were shoved right up the back corner with absolute no views of any dancers. We moved closer and people told us to go back to our own seats. Not happy. My husband came down sick and couldn’t come and no refund offered
It’s fun to do once and see the show a good night out really , it was fun and lively. The food was local and tasty., the drinks which . The dancing was energetic and the drumming show was good but th the commentator was a bit over the top.
The sights, sounds and delicious aromas of Africa filled the air as we were fitted with our colorful garment for the evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening, and would highly recommend this activity.
My wife and I went to the Boma for a valentine’s dinner (2026). It was a great experience, topped up with a drum show. All I can say is you gotta be there yourself to experience it.
Afro Dawn Sarfaris was amazing. Our guide was friendly, welcoming and on time to collect us. He was also very knowledgable as we drove along giving us information about the area. Arriving at the dinner he kindly ushered us through to the entrance, explaining all the customs as we went along. The Boma dinner and dance experience was simply amazing. All staff were efficient, food delicious and entertainment on point.

Experience awesome Food, was very disappointing. Beef was chewy. Pork roast, super cold. Only good thing to eat was veggies, dessert
I loved the dinner and the show. It was really fun and the food was good. Don't miss the impala stew it was my favorite.
Welcome dancing and performances combined with traditional African food buffet and bbq. Interactive drums and dancing.
It is over priced! Local people tried they are best. Our local driver/ guide was very good, knowledgebase. But tour agency did not provide water.
Had an absolutely amazing experience with my family. The welcome, being dressed up, the welcome dance was all a nice surprise, staff were so friendly and courteous, the food was good. Then the traditional dance.........! My kids loved it and that made worth the while. Thank you Boma, I will be back!
A fun evening. Table arrangements may suggest not easy to see the show but easy to move around and enjoy. Food great but not organised clearly, take your time and all is good. Practice your bongo drums beforehand 😊
Transportation to dinner flowed easy, only complaint which is out of control of the operator is where you sit. Seating can be extremely terrible and you will not see anything from your seat given that this is a tourist trap and everyone wants videos/pictures. The food was good but they definitely try to keep portions low with distributing so don’t feel selfish, it’s a buffet ask for more to prevent yourself from getting up more. Drinks not included, the show overall was good if you can see, I had to
Fun evening with drumming, dancing and great food! The bush meats were fantastic, especially the Eiland stew. No, we didn’t eat the worm.
We enjoyed the food and the show. Had some trouble seeing due to our seats. But overall a fun and different experience. Food was great service good.
It was truly a tourist spot. Everything was artificial. There were some tribal shows during dinner time. I didn't watch much. Dont border to take any photos. The food was a buffet style with some game meats. Again it's not my favorite. Overall Once is more than enough or you miss nothing if you don't go
We had a lovely driver in Isabella who talked lots to us. The food was okay even though the lines were long. The show itself was fantastic.
AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! I’ve known about the Boma Dinner for a bit over a year now, and each time i heard someone speak or showed their videos of the experience I would say that ai am going to be there one day. Well, I made it and it was one of the best experiences of my life.
The variety of foods to choose from was good, and interesting. We tried some of the wild game - good! A highlight was trying the locally famous Mopane worm! We are glad we did, but once was probably enough. The drum show was fun, and overall the experience gave us a good "African feel" and we enjoyed ourselves very much.
Just fantastic 👏 would love to do it again. Involved the whole crowd with beating the drums. The costumes were fantastic. The dinner was amazing.
The person who picked us up was soooo lovely I can’t praise her enough I would do a full tour with her. But once we arrived the staff where soooo rude the sat us in a corner that didn’t face the stage instead faced were they were collecting dirty dishes and when we asked to move they said no and went away and laughed. The food also was not great for the price and the drinks were expensive when they finally arrived. The staff serving the food were also lovely but overall it was over prised and over higher spend your money on the dinner sunset river crude instead
Was the culmination of our three week trip to Victoria Falls and did not disappoint. Was an incredible experience and I highly recommend.
Food was great! Awesome experience, we even ate Mopane worms 😄 we travelled from Zambia to Zim which wasn't too far away. Absolutely enjoyable
The experience was great, food was delicious. Our driver Isabella was amazing too! She is very knowledgeable and gave us so much information about Zimbabwe.
Food was lovely and very plentiful! It was a fun experience but I just wish the staff had explained what was going to happen through the evening better. Some tables you can’t actually see the “stage area” despite all seats being same price. The show happens intermittently throughout the evening, while you and others are going back and forth to the buffet and still trying to eat. As our table was one you couldn’t see from, I found it hard to know if I should keep eating or leave my food and go and watch - but the plates would always be cleared when you left your seat.
We had a fantastic night at the Boma Dinner and Drum show. Loved how we were all given a “sarong” to wear on entry and once shown to our table we got to sample the local traditional home brew and had the hand washing tradition. The food was excellent, very proud of my mopani worm Certificate! The drum show was a lot of fun too, all round a great night and highly recommended. A big thank you to Isabella from Afro Dawn tours who picked us up for our lodge and was so lovely.
It was good food and entertainment but it doesn't quite justify the $$. The advertisement made it sound like a lot of african music and dancing but it was limited to a short time. It says face painting, but that is just three dots painted on before you enter. If you aren't in a front seat, you won't see much at all. There are limited front seats. We (2 of us) got a front seat because I booked with the hotel (that's what we are assuming). Little did I know when I did book through them, that they were charging $30 more then if we went straight thru to Bomo. I think though, we got the best seats because we booked and paid a premium so in the end it was well the extra $$ for us, but maybe not for you. It is a bit hyped up but it was a fun evening. There is no stage, it is just a walking space where they perform. Anyone sitting in 80% of the seats won't be able to see much without standing.
Food was delicious!! Music and dancing was spectacular!!! The drum lesson was fun. He traditional clothing provided added a nice touch to the experience!!
I did this my first night in Vic Falls. Good first night activity. The best part was drumming along with the performers and dancing. I did eat the worm and got my certificate! My advice is to try everything, if only a bite. My only complaints were that my waiter brought me the wrong wine and never checked on me until time for the bill. Also the hotel pickup was late with no communication, but my driver was very friendly. Bring some small bills to tip the performers.
The food was ok. The waiters were kind and polite. The show was good and interactive. The only thing I was not happy with was the pick up. The driver was late. I called the tour operator a few times without getting a reply. This made me very upset and disappointed. However, after the driver showed up, she apologized for her latecoming and bought us a gift. This made me feel much better. In fact, she was a very friendly and kind person who shared a lot about Victoria Falls with us along the way. So I still decided to give this experience a 5 star. Other than the pick up, everything was good.
Overall service, pickup and drop-off were timely. But food was average. Show was dood with good interaction with guests
The Boma dinner and drum show was so much fun. I ate a lot of great food, the service is outstanding, and the entertainment is all worth every penny. I strongly recommend it!
We had a party of 8, reserved a table and requested to be seated close to the drum show as we had visitors from California, SA and parts of Zimbabwe who had never been to the Boma. The manager Gerald very rudely told his shift manager that his "gate is wide open and they are free to leave if they are not happy with where they are seated" (We were seated right at the back near the server's table) The food was ok - not the authentic African cuisine everyone used to rave about. I asked the chef why the doviRice was white with crumbs of peanut butter and his response was well we cooked it "hotel style, not the true Zimbabwean way" I was very disappointed. On another note - the drum show was spectacular and the bartender on duty that night made an exceptional margharita! I will not be visiting the Boma again any time soon.
Everything was perfect from the cultural artists, the acapella guys, the food and the waiters service. We loved the drumshow the most, it was epic and got everyone to participate
Tremendous fun with great food too. Never drummed before, but I sort of got pulled in. I would recommend this. We came over for the day from Zambia. Try to stay overnight on the Zimbabwe side. That way you won’t have to rush back, like we had to, before the border closes for the night
This is a must do..... beautiful food selection, very entertaining and the dance/ music show was brilliant..... our tour guide isabelle from Afro Dawn Safaris was delightful
The Boma dinner and drum show was amazing! One of the must do activities in Victoria Falls. We had an awesome experience. What also made it special was the awesome service we got from Afro Dawn Safaris. If you are a traveler looking for an organised, friendly and excellent agent in Victoria Falls, Afro Dawn Safaris will exceed your expectations. The visit to the Vic Falls and the Boma was a first for us but the staff from Afro Dawn Safaris were helpful. Our stay in Victoria Falls was hence 100% relaxed as Afro Dawn took care of the planning for us.
Zeer vriendelijk personeel , mooi decor .
