12-13 Minute Victoria Falls Helicopter Flight The most popular helicopter flight in Victoria Falls known as the “Flight of Angels”. This helicopter flight takes off from the helicopter pad and heads straight for the magnificent Victoria Falls. The pilot will complete left and right hand orbits over the Victoria Falls. This allows passengers on both sides of the helicopter fantastic views of Victoria Falls. The helicopter then heads upstream and over the Zambezi national Park before landing.

Once we were ready to go we had Eric the pilot and only me and my friend so was comfortable and was amazing, the flight was great and saw elephants and the falls from every angle. This is a must see from the air . Got amazing video but little disappointed as the end of flight photos not on it. But did not ruin the trip or experience .
The organization was very helpful and easy do communicate with and accommodated a request to change times at the last minute. Very smooth and professional ground and air operation. And the views, though pricey, were once in a lifetime.
Such a great helicopter ride and so worth it. To view the Falls that way is amazing and we were up there for 15 min but seemed like so much more
As part of a tour group, about 20 of us booked the 22-minute flights. This was booked about 3/4 days prior to the flight. The groupings were submitted so that people could take the flight with people of their choice. In my case, my wife, her brother and her sister-in-law. Another single traveler was added to make up the 5 people required to fill the seats. The 20 people were divided into 2 groups: one scheduled for 3 p.m. and the other for 4 p.m. The Angel of Flight van was late picking up the first group. Once at the helicopter venue, they started weighing passengers and moving everyone around based on the weights and to balance the choppers. I understand this is for safety reasons and have absolutely no issue with that. But, with 3- or 4-days advance notice, we could have been asked to submit our weights in advance and all the logistics worked out. In the end, I didn't get to fly with my family. The 22-minute flight was 20 minutes (yes, I timed it. At US$12.00 per minute, I was interested). So, about $25US left out there somewhere. The biggest frustration was the lateness of the actual flight. We lifted off after 4 p.m. losing about an hour. That put the second group behind by an equal amount of time. After the flight we tried to make suggestions to the people who seemed to be in charge, but they just nodded. It was like this was their first day in business and it was chaos. All in all, it was the biggest waste of time and money in our 22 days on tour.
We took an Angel helicopter flight this morning. The whole experience was seamless, very well organised. We loved the views over the landscape and Victoria Falls. It added a whole new dimension to what you cannot see when you walk the falls. I would definitely recommend if you have time.

Had an excellent (1st helicopter) experience over Victoria Falls! We did the land walk 1st to Victoria Falls but the mist was too extreme. Couldn't see much. Decided to experience Victoria Falls from above & it was quite an experience! Must do!!!
We were promptly picked up at our lodge. Everything went very smoothly. Our group consisted of 3 people and we went up in a 4 person helicopter by ourselves. We did the 25 minute ride and the pilot was fantastic, making sure both sides of the helicopter had a view of the falls, the gorges, and the animals in the park. It gave us a chance to see the falls from a different perspective and we signed up for the last flight of the day, which is the time the sun hits the droplets and produces rainbows. It was a very smooth ride and one of the highlights of our stay in Victoria Falls.
Amazing views from uptop in the sky, I personally got to sit in the front with the pilot and saw everything from up above the falls, and all of us would recommend us doing it whenever you go to Zambia or Zimbabwe!

Absolutely fantastic. We were well looked after and had chosen the longer (25 minutes) flight which was well worth it. Figure of eight over the falls , then the gorge and then hunting for animals above the falls. Breathtaking scenery and was magical from start to finish. T shirts and the offered photos and video were expensive but we said yes to both.
It's busy !!! We were on a tight schedule to get to airport. Needed to pester staff to get on helicopter ASAP. Other than that, trip was brilliant. Allow yourself plenty of time !

Expensive and short in duration (12-13 minutes) but the views are amazing (we had a good day weather-wise) and how often are you going to be at Victoria Falls?! The trip consisted of a couple of 'circuits' of the Falls plus a bit of the gorge and surrounding area.
The flight itself was wonderful ! Well worth the price for the experience. What ruined it for me was the photo “upsell” afterwards. They bring you in a very small room without any explanation and start showing photos of your flight prep. We were taking pictures and the guy yells “ no pictures “ I said “What are we doing in here then” His response was in a very angry voice “ To watch and to buy “. I walk out That was enough to screw up the day for me
Seeing the whole aspect of the river, the falls and the sheer size of the gorge. Flight was smooth and comfortable and the whole operation fantastic.
Good experience all round. Only issue I had was that I couldn't hear the pilot when he was communicating with us. The volume knob did not work on my headset. A very professional.
Amazing views of the falls from the air. Pickup from hotel was good and processing to the flight and off was good. Only down side the cost of the video was a tad steep.
The flight was smooth. The views were lovely. Although most of the landscaper this time of the year is very dry and winter looking. Can't help that. The pilot on the other hand? Never spoke one word to us. did not introduce himself. I have been on helicopter rides before the pilot talks to us. Ask us where we're from and then of course talks to us about what we're seeing as we fly over. He took us up for 12 minutes and brought us back down without speaking a word. This is unacceptable. Some of the staff said it maybe because his transmissions weren't working that's even more alarming that he couldn't speak to people in the back of the helicopter who couldn't even see him.
The best view of the falls are from the air. The only bummer was we wasn't told about the $25 per person park fee added on to the ride. We took the 12 to 13 minute flight, and it was just right.
The team has been unresponsive to requests for our video we paid extra for. No one we knew! Not as advertised! Beware! Sad
Check in was chaotic. I was separated from our group, and then forgotten. Once Tour guide got involved, I was quickly boarded with another couple as the third. From then on, cannot recommend this enough. Great views amd awesome pilot. Very smooth flight. The views are unparalleled and well worth the cost. Recommend this as a must do!!
The transfer to and from the helicopter pad was seamless and the drivers were very friendly. The helicopter ride over Victoria Falls was the highlight of our time in Victoria Falls. I'm a waterfall chaser and have visited many, many waterfalls... seeing Victoria Falls from every angle was a dream come true. While 13 minutes may seem like a short amount of time, it was actually perfect for viewing the falls. The flight path ensures everyone gets to the see the falls from all angles. Incredible, spectacular, breathtaking... thank you mother nature and To Do Africa. One suggestion - ensure you remember the $25 /pp fee you have to pay at the launch site.
Wow! What more can I say. The organizers run things like clockwork, the trip over the falls is excellent and such a smooth ride too. Loved it. Definitely worth the money
Everything about the trip was efficiently organised - from pick-up and return to hotel, explanations and information pre-flight and the flight itself. Which was memorable. With views of the falls, the river and the surrounding countryside. At the end the photos and video package was worth every penny it cost. Altogether an unforgettable experience.
This is a must do activity for anyone visiting the falls! Couldn’t more highly recommend this flight.
Loved the 15 minute flight over Victoria Falls which gave you another view and perspective of the falls. We were collected from hotel given a briefing and then up we went. Felt very safe and the company were very professional.
What an extraordinary experience! The aerial view of the Victoria Falls is spectacular and not to be missed. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the whole operation well managed.
I texted the company the day before to confirm our appointment time and they got back to us. The next morning they called our hotel to let us know they would be coming 15 minutes early. Great communication. The van transport was on time and the friendly service was excellent. Everything there was organized and they kept us informed of when we would fly. Smooth and efficient like any good company should be. I would fly with them again.
Oh wow wow wow. This trip was amazing. So efficiently run too. We missed the guy picking us up but he asked the hotel staff where we were and saw us drinking a coffee. He decided to leave us for 15 minutes and came back. So lovely. The helicopter ride was out of this world. I thought I was going to be scared but it was just so amazing that I didn’t get scared at all. Thoroughly recommend to anyone.
Customer Background: We are an US citizen family of 7 with 5 kiddos - the youngest is 5 years old. We've been living in RSA for 3 years and we travel around the world, previously living/visiting in various countries in continents such as Europe, Asia, Oceania, and now Africa. The views on this tour were stunning! I love that the staff takes photos and videos to capture the whole experience. We had a lady pilot that talked to us and reassured some of my younger kiddos that started to get nervous in their first helicopter ride. She was amazing, I hope you get her. My husband (we had to split up 5 in one trip and two mixed in with another group) had a male pilot and said he didn't talk to them - so the lady pilot made an extra effort. We also did Victoria falls from the Zim and Zam sides and from the trolley tour, but my kids loved seeing the falls from the helicopter tour. The staff was quick in informing customers of the safety rules and the whole experience was fantastic. They also came and picked us up from our lodge and even dropped us off at the shoppes on the way back 👏🏽 👌 😀.
Amazing view which gives you a better idea of the falls and surrounding area. Pilot was also very friendly and skilled giving a little explanation about the falls.
Our copter orientation specifically stated that the pilot would make 2 loops so that people on both sides would receive equal views of the Falls. Instead, the people on one side were treated to much more extensive views and flying time. When we landed, one of our companions asked if the two of us on our side of the 4 person cabin, asked we felt short-changed because we had seen less. Our photos, when compared with the other people’s, confirmed this. We asked for a 50% refund, but the company declined. Instead, they offered us another flight the next day but we were unable to go because our group was leaving for Cape Town. Our tour leader was unsuccessful in working with the copter company to make this right. Therefore, be warned that you may pay $250 for a 22 minute flight & get half or less than what you pay for. Very disappointing!!
We took a sightseeing flight on Sept 17, 2023 with pilot, Colin. Very smooth take off, flight and landing. It was incredible to see the river and the falls from above.
This was an amazing experience. Elizabeth gave us a great view of the falls and area around it. Fantastic, slick operation, short, but felt like we all had a great time. Well organised with transfer back to hotel and no pressure to buy the video.
My flight was canceled and I began communicating with the tour provider directly asking about canceling the excursion and I asked for a refund. Once I got to the destination, I made attempts to reschedule and they were unable to fit me in and they stopped communicating with me. Very disappointed in the service.
It was absolutely amazing. From getting picked up from the hotel to being dropped back. Everything ran like clockwork. Helicopter flight was incredible. Victoria Falls and the surrounding area was brilliant to see from the helicopter. Absolutely loved it.

From the air you get a totally different perspective on the Falls. Breathtaking vistas over the whole Zambezi. Flight itself was very smooth. Even saw some elephants!
If never been on a helicopter, the tour is fine. It would have been more enjoyable if there was a commentary provided on what you see and/or history. Could have been an audio track since they fly the same route multiple times a day. Our pilot only pointed out animals when over Chobi Park. Be prepared for flight changes due to weather which is out of their hands
Such a great experience. I would recommend to everyone to take this tour! We were very comfortable with the pilot, he was very good. There is not a better view of the whole area.
Make sure you read the fine print when you book this flight. Under “inclusions.” They also list everything that is excluded, including a $30 per person park fee and fuel level. The whole time you were waiting to get on the helicopter there is a guy jumping around, taking pictures of you, usually without your knowledge. Don’t spend the extra money on the extra 10 minute ride over the national park unless you want to go around in circles looking at an elephant for 10 minutes. Then there is the post flight video that you are forced to watch that shows all the embarrassing moments that lead up to your flight and then they want $50 US for a copy of the flight video and embarrassing photos that they took. The only saving grace on this trip was the views , I expected a lot more for $800 US. Or maybe I expected a lot less.
It is special experience for me because I can see whole Victoria falls. I really recommend this. I hope you experience same thing.
Amazing view of the Falls from a helicopter! Everything about the prep for the flight was very professional as was the wonderfully experienced pilot. Had full confidence in the safety of the operation and enjoyed every minute of my 25 minute flight that included the Falls and a pass over parts of the National park.
We did this for my birthday and I can honestly say this is one of the most memorable experiences I’ve ever had, it was absolutely incredible. It’s a must do if you’re visiting VC it’s the only way to see the magnificent falls from an aerial view. Breathtaking 😊
This flight was a gift and it didn’t disappoint! The 13 minutes above the falls was spectacular viewing and I never thought I’d see myself in a helicopter but it was so worth the fear. This has to be at the top of your list when visiting Victoria Falls!
I booked the helicopter flight months in advance and was advised that my booking was provisional as they had a two person minimum for flights. The company would advise of any changes. On the morning of the flight after waiting 20 minutes after the pickup time, the hotel staff contacted the company. I was advised that my flight had been cancelled without consent or consultation; neither was I offered a refund. I had booked the flight for 08:30 when conditions would be favourable for photography. My flight was rescheduled for 15:00 when conditions were really bad for photography but I had no choice but take the flight. The helicopter was cramped with little room to move around to take photographs. There were two other singles on the flight and I had to rush back to my hotel to meet a pickup for a more enjoyable activity. Because of this I did not even get to review the video of the flight.
Great place to relax, friendly people and plenty to do. Loved the steam train ride the river cruise and the safari through Zambia national Park.
All the staff was professional and the flight was on time and well managed. The pilot was an excellent pilot (I have been a pilot for many years). A very scenic and enjoyable flights.
