Gorge Swing (Zimbabwe)

So exciting i was a little nervous it would yank on my neck and back with the swing. But it was very smooth. Everyone was great at gorge swing. They showed me how to tuck my neck and keep tucked for about 4 seconds to prevent any whiplash. Hardest part was the climb out of the gorge took me 20 minutes. Not bad for a 70 year old

A totally amazing experience! A must do for thrill seekers! My kids and I all had a great time from beginning to end. The staff was super friendly and walked us through each step. I was a little concerned if there would be a jolt at the bottom, but completely smooth. We couldn't stop smiling the rest of the day!

The term "swing" discounts how far of a free fall you experience!! I booked during a Tamuka Travel trip I was on, and had so much fun. The entire operation was safe and efficient, and was right next to the Lookout Cafe so I could sit and eat lunch while digesting what I had just done. Spectacular views and incredible activity. They offered various levels for the photo/video package, I believe in $25/35/45 increments for buying 1-3 items of the photos, video, and GoPro video.

Excellent adrenaline fuelled activity. Did the gorge swing after the Canopy Tour (Excellent in its own right) then the tandem Zip (also excellent) but then had to complete the day with the gorge swing. Staff were safety conscious and did it all with great humour. Special shout out to Nacho and Andrew who looked after us. Highly recommended activity. Pricey - Yes , photos pricey - Yes but you want a record of your bravery !

Our kids loved the experience and grateful for the very professional staff. A special thanks to Bhuzani who made it so much fun. The kids immediately felt safe with him as he kept boosting up their courage to face the challenge. It is reassuring to note that safely is their first priority.

We had an afternoon fee in Vic Falls. Hotel staff recommended we do the Gorge Swing, followed by dinner at the Lookout Cafe. What an excellent choice! Hotel arranged for the transfer. We were all up and ready at the swing in 15 minutes or so. What a rush seining over the Zambezi river! It’s a safe operation, plenty of harnesses and checks in place. The rush of the swing is just amazing! Quick tip - don’t pay for their pictures/video package. That is super expensive and takes a long time to reach your inbox. We paid the staff $20, gave them our phone, and they took pictures and videos for us instantly. Worked out great!

I wish I could give them a 5 star as the actual activity and staff were amazing! However we paid for our video and photos and were promised them by email. To this day we have never received them and have emailed on numerous occasions and requested a refund with no success. They are happy to take your money but not to send what you have paid for , really disappointing and put a damper on the whole experience.

My teenagers wanted to do an adventure activity and picked this one. Registering was smooth through Viator. I asked Wild Horizons to change it to tandem for my kids and on the day I moved the activity by an hour. They were very accommodating and agreed to change. We were picked up from our hotel and checkin was straight forward at the location. There was about 5 min walk to get the jump area. The kids were geared up right away and we waited for about 5 min before their turn. They enjoyed the adrenaline rush! However, coming back up wasn't smooth for them. They both had bruised and bleeding knees and legs. We bought the pics/videos for $30. It was sent to us the next day with a very nicely put together video.

Truly exhilarating. The first step takes a lot of courage, but it is well worth it for the unmatched experience of the free fall and incredible views. A total blast.

This was thee most thrilling thing I have ever done in my life. The staff were super helpful in calming my nerves but nothing can prepare you for that 3 second (alleged) free fall. What they don't tell you is that once you are down there in the gorge it is so quiet and tranquil. I'd do it again.

Felt safe and comfortable. Exciting experience. And a free lift to hotel was a really nice bonus. It's a must if you visit Victoria Falls.

Went with my boyfriend. I convinced him to do his gorge swing first and then I did mine after him. I totally freaked out at the height, but once you fall- the feeling is amazing

The view is absolutely beautiful. The service great and very professional. I would definitely recommend visiting the gorge swing when in Zimbabwe.

When planning my couple of days in Vic Falls, I knew I wanted to do some sort of adventure excursion. I knew I wouldn't be up for bungee jumping, and I had already zip lined before. That was my original plan. When talking to the gal at the hotel, I asked if she had done any of the adrenaline activities and which was her favorite. The gorge swing! Without really thinking twice about it, I booked it. After all, once I paid for it, I was in for it!! When my driver picked me up for the gorge swing, I again asked which was his favorite. Again the Gorge Swing. And boy were they all right. Sure it may feel a little nervous at first, but once I jumped, instantly, no regrets. One of the most fun things I've done, that I never thought I'd do. If you have the chance, do this! The staff there is all super nice and ensures you feel safe and also enjoy yourself. They cheer you along the whole time! Definitely would do this again and recommend to anyone going to Vic Falls!

An exciting 100m jump and then just swing and enjoy the silence and the river below you. After you can experience a bite of repel to get up again. Strongly recommend to wear walking shoes (tennis, boots). The team will encourage you to enjoy the experience of the swing

One of the best things I did while I was in Vic Falls. I did the bungee jumping as well but preferred this as you stay upright the whole time!!

My son is afraid of heights so tried to overcome the fear by doing all these activities. He did the Gorge swing and according to the assistants screamed the loudeest in a while. The 70m free fall is scary but after that was vry enjoyable. I did the Zipline which was an awesome experience. I enjoyed looking at the surroundings and nature from the bottom of the Gorge. Will do it again any day. Everyone was so friendly and very safety consious.

I did the tandem gorge swing. and its awesome. seems better than the single because you have someone to hold onto....... because you will definitely need to kkk

What an amazing experience! I highly recommend doing this adrenaline activity when you are visiting Victoria Falls. The instructors were so friendly and encouraging which made it easier to actually walk to the edge and then jump into the gorge!!!

We had an amazing time doing the tandem gorge swing at Victoria Falls. The staff were welcoming and very professional. We also had great photos and a video as a reminder of our experience. Great experience 👍🏻

The experience was fun but the photography was not impressive. The moment was not captured well. There's plenty room for improvement in that area.

An amazing, adrenaline pumping experience! The guys were great, lots of fun and made you feel safe and secure throughout the whole process. A definite must do activity! We did it tandum which made stepping off the ledge much easier, and is now a fun memory for the two of us.

Great customer service from booking the jump, to the front desk at the gorge and at the actual jump. Staff was extremely friendly and explained the process in detail. I'll definitely visit again.

A pure rush of adrenaline in a unique location - If you like a bungee and a rush then this is for you...well looked after, good safety instructions and would sir like to 'jump, go backwards or start in a handstand'....I went backwards and it was great!! - Just do it....

This was great experience . The only thing missing was music. Should be some music on so the people are more relaxed , that way more people will be encouraged to do it.

We did our first tandem gorge swing and my wife was very nervous but the guys from Wild Horizon did a great job. They were very friendly and kept us informed throughout the process. It was a high adrenaline experience.

I was very excited to do the swing. The guides we had were outstanding. They were informative and safety minded. I wish the guides would have recommended the easiest version at my age. I realized the second I did the angel dive it was a mistake and immediately tried to do the easiest version. I had quite a jolt when I came to the bottom of the swing. I thought I may have really hurt myself, but several days later seem to be ok.

The boys that were at the swing getting us all in our safety gear were wonderful. They doubled and tripled check all of our hook ups. They were polite and fun. Good job staff. They explained the different ways we could jump. I knew I wanted the easiest way, so I just stood straight and off I went. All was fine. My 67 year old sister decided to do the swan drive, and she wasn't able to hold the swan very long and made some acquired moves to reach the rope, as a result had a pretty hard jolt at the bottom of the swing in both her back and neck. I think the boys should have not said that with each style the jolt will increase a little more and should have suggested the stand jump off rather than the swan. I realize she was old enough to make her own decision, but wasn't aware that the jolt would be more than if she just jumped straight off.

Definitely ticked off my bucket list! The guides were excellent in making us comfortable to jump lol
