Dinner Cruise On The Zambezi River, Victoria Falls

Beautiful experience made more special by the crew who helped celebrate my fiancé’s birthday. Loved the elephants crossing the river and the hippos.

Tour operator intentionally booked for the wrong day. So we did not get to experience the cruise. I was very upset and disappointed as we only had one night. I believe that is their regular business practice to ensure they sell out since there were was another group of 3 people that had the same issue. They create disappointment travelers. They need to do better.

Well organised. The cruise was everything it said it would be. Great food, amazing vistas and a herd of elephants crossing the river right in front of us.

Wonderful excursion! Left on time. Lots to drink and the food was excellent! The staff was friendly and attentive. Beautiful sunset. We only wish it left a bit sooner so that there was more daylight. Once it got dark, there was nothing to see. Still, a wonderful night on the river.

This was a great evening. The bus collecting lots did take a while but was worth it in the end. We arrived and was quickly shown upstairs to a great relaxing comfortable chair area. With a welcome drink. Very nice. Then we choose our meal of choice, from the 4 courses. Plus asked what drink we had, I did not realise but the one I booked came with complimentary drinks. Wow. They did not stop flowing, with a wide choice. I can recommend the falls gin, and African pinotage. We sailed towards the falls, then around a very latge Iland in the middle of the Zambezi. Stunning. One side was zambi, the other Zimbabwe. Truly stunning, we spotted lots of Rhino, apparently a Croc (I am sure it was log) and other wildlife. The sunset was awesome, sat back enjoy a drink with such a gorgeous sunset. Although lots of people on the boat it did not appear busy or rushed. Just brilliant. After sunset we were asked to move downstairs to the dinning area, still outside, and had the most wonderful dinner. Still drinks flowing. We had the best/most relaxing time for our last night in this amazing country. A brilliant way to end that part of our holiday. I can not recommend this enough. I hope you all enjoy it as much as me and my wife did.

This was an incredible experience for the money! I was so surprised as to the quality of the meal and the experience for the price. Outstanding! This was our first experience in Victoria Falls and my family loved it!

It was wonderful, except that we were dropped off at the wrong spot. And we had issues with being double-booked for our hotel. Then we had the excursion and we were dropped off at the wrong place, after tipping our driver $16. I wad super frustrated because we had to pay for an additional ride. But the cruise itself was exceptional.

Excellent food and wine was fine. Saw hippos and enjoyed great views & superb service. Loved everything!

Overall, a great experience. The dinner was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. Would have been nice to start the cruise slightly earlier so that there was more time before the light fell. Would recommend.

A definite must do......From the food to drinks to the warm friendly staff.. The sunset was breathtaking.

From hotel pick up to drop off. The staff, the food, the drinks, the scenery, everything was just perfect. If you fancy dinner rather than just snacks on your evening cruise, this is the one for you!

At the end of our first week in Victoria Falls we took this trip (7 of us in total). Pick-up was spot on, the food onboard was amazing as was the service and, of course, the scenery and the sunset. The beef steak was one of the best I've had in a long time and the drinks were of good quality and unlimited. There was a bit of a mix-up about park fees as we had pre-paid these but it was sorted quickly and efficiently. Lovely company to deal with and I'd totally recommend this trip.

We had a party of three booked the cruise and dinner for our last night in Victoria Falls. Pickup and drop off were included in the pricing. However, our driver was 50 minutes late to pick us up. We called the number on the app and it was disconnected. Our texts were not returned. We thought we were stood-up. He finally arrived with another party already on the bus and still had two months parties to pick up at other hotels before meeting the boat. We finally made it. We did enjoy a wonderful sail up the Zambia river and the food and service were excellent. After dinner we all had to pay a “tax” of $12 USD each to the driver. However, he conveniently had no change and kept the remaining $4 USD of the fee. It’s a shame as it was a negative ending to a wonder evening. We reached out to the tour operator without reply or explanation.

There were high seas and gale force winds. The weather service had small vessel warnings out for taking on water or capsizes. I called them and they were still going out. Ridiculous to expect people to risk it. We did not go. But I will be taking up a refund with Viator.

Good food, nice cruise, bad wine. The service is also good, the views are amazing! Good option to spent 3h.

It had a great river setting, a wonderful crew. and good food. I would highly recommend this dinner cruise.

Lots of good food. It rained and was a bit cool. Consider taking a light jacket. The crew did off blankets for people.

A great way to experience the Zambezi river. The boat is well appointed, food and service excellent, bit of a must if you are at Vic Falls, you also felt a connection to the vastness of the river.

Being a little nervous about what kind of food and service we get on this cruise we were more than satisfied . All drinks beers, G and T’s and wine were of good quality and food likewise . Really enjoyed our trip

Incredible views of the skyline, the river and of course wildlife as we saw plenty of hippos and a crocodile 😃 The food and especially the staff make this experience they are so attentive and friendly😃and the drinks kept flowing 🥂😊 How the chefs prepare such food in a tight space is commendable 👏👏👏 The Captain interacted and let us know exactly what was happening and the lady manager kept everything to time 😊 The feeling of serenity was wonderful and it’s a must for anyone staying in Victoria Falls……we even saw the mist from the falls in the distance and can’t wait for our visit tomorrow 😊 Huge thanks to the staff who made it a very special occasion for us😊🙏 100% recommended it’s a must do 😀 Kieron and Trudy 🇬🇧 UK

Had a wonderful time. Met an amazing couple from Australia. They joined us at Boma dinner as well. Saw many hippos and lots of birds. Food was ok. Snacks were not meant for vegetarians.

It was a great experience, we had to get a chance to see a hippo and crocodiles, staff was friendly and welcoming and complements to the Chef it food was great

Our boat was clean and luxurious with attentive staff. The sunset was beautiful and perfect Zimbawe weather. After drinks on the upper deck we went downstairs for a scrumptious dinner comprising perfect fillet steak and sides. What a lovely memorable experience!

Great pickup from hotel. Stopped on the way to view dome zebra and impala. Food very good as were drinks. Cruise cut short (docked after 1.5 hrs and stayed at the dock) because of thunderstorm, no communication. Waiters very good.

The food was great. The cruise was perfect for our last night in Africa. We really had a nice evening. Lots of wildlife too. Elephants, lion, hippos.

Do not do this as a solo traveler I was ignored so often Drinks- first drink they asked and served me, after that I was ignored. I caught the eye of one staff member (I just wanted water) and she nodded to me in response but then took off and nothing - 15 minutes later I got up and asked for water So out of five drinks including water, I had to get up and go to the bar 4 times Everyone around me had table service Now the food Food was ok, my fish was over cooked and tough, but I was left to order last even though the table next to me ordered then they went to the other side of the boat leaving me last And in the end I had a drink and water and went to the bathroom, came back and all drinks removed It’s a sunset cruise and no one was leaving till we docked so why was my drinks removed? I was so upset I bought to tears I travel a lot as a solo in the past four decades but this was NOT good I am with multiple FB solo travel groups and will be passing this on

Wonderful way to spend our last evening in Victoria Falls. The food, service and overall experience was relaxing & enjoyable. The hotel pickup was punctual . Brought us to the boat launching area and all went as expected. A definite must do when in vic falls to appreciate the beauty & serenity of this area.

Excellent evening. Booked through Viator. There were many cruises on the river. We were on the African Reflections through Africa Prime. The food and service was excellent as was the cruise. Saw lots of wildlife. It was great.

Our whole group was disappointed with this excursion because we were deceived into thinking we would be on Zambezi breeze dinner cruise with pure Africa. Unfortunately it was not. We were contacted after booking and asked if we could change out date since they were fully booked but when we could not change our dates we were told they were able to make it work however not told we were on a different dinner cruise. Seems like they book you on what ever is available at the moment. We met another group on the boat who had the same experience as us. We still had a nice time over all however we probably wouldn’t have made the effort to cross the Zambia border had we known. Dinner menu was good but basic, (we really wanted to try the ostrich steak offered on the other cruise), did not like the dessert at all, staff was friendly and attentive and there was plenty of option for alcohol.

The food was verry good and the boat was good. We had a good view.And we had a good time on the boat.

This tour by Pure Africa is good. The sunset is beautiful. We also see elephant bathing and rhinos. The food is good. The drinks such as wine and beers are included.

Good Experience and lovely Cruise. Amazing as we had spot Hippo, crocodile and elephants in the trip. The food is good and the atmosphere is very nice.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Victoria Falls. A friend had recommended it to us and we were glad they did. The entire experience was well done, with white tablecloths and attentive service. We started with some beverages and reviewed the menu as we floated past the mist of Victoria Falls before turning up the Zambia side of the river as we watched a stunning sunset on the Zambezi. We saw hippos, baboons, an elephant drinking in front of 2 rhinos, and a crocodile. The food was excellent, I enjoyed the soup of the day and the ostrich filet. It culminated in the staff doing a traditional song and dance, and a quick trip back to our hotel accommodation. Definitely recommend this tour!!

So convenient, picked up and returned to Hotel made it so easy, cruise was great food was excellent drinks included , sunset to die for and wildlife.

I specifically chose this company because all the photos were of the Malachite ship which is what I wanted. You need to message them if you book this and ask for Malachite, otherwise you may end up on a larger boat with more people and different caterer. Malachite was amazing.

We had a lovely evening on the Zambezi River. I think the experience totally depends upon the time of year that you travel. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly. The table settings were very nice, and the food was quite tasty. The drinks were delicious and abundant! However, since it was such a chilly night, the food was cold. The views and the sunset, especially, were to die for, though! We even got to see a few animals along the way! If I were to do it again, I would do the sunset cruise without the dinner.

We had a good time relaxing, enjoyed sightseeing, beautiful sunset and the dinner. We even saw some Hippos on the way. We booked this because of the "4 course" dinner. Food and drinks were awesome and we enjoyed a lot. The staff were nice, friendly and efficient. I would recommend everybody to go on this cruise.
