This is an amazing experience. Everything was very smooth from the pickup (see suggestions below); the safari itself; transfer at the border and the lunch. The driver (from lodge to Zim border was nice and respectful; Baits who was the Safari guide was also nice). A few suggestions for the owner to improve: 1. I was pick up at 7am despite my booking clearly said it was for 7:30am. Since I was alone, it was easy for me to manage a quick breakfast and immediately leave - but if I were to be with other people, this could have been an issue. 2. Possibly because I was solo, there were a couple of changes during transfers. I began with a different group and after lunch I was asked to join a different group for the river tour and after the river tour (heading back to Zim border) I was assigned a different driver again. There was not an issue at all since everything went super smoothly, but if this could be informed more clearly ahead of time (with name and contact details of the drivers), it could help reduce the anxiety.
A fabulous day from start to finish, we fully recommend it. The quality of the transport and guides were great. We saw lots of wildlife including elephants, impala, hippo’s, giraffes and crocodiles and eagles. The combination of a half day safari and half day river cruise was fantastic.
We have a wonderful time with the team. The viewing on the boat was spectacular and we were able to move swiftly and fast than the larger boats to see elephants crossing the river which was awesome. Our overnight tent was pretty cool and it even had a shower. Dinner was amazing, the conversation with the team and the late night elephants and lions walking and roaring close close by was a highlight. The next we were lucky enough to spot a pride of lions enjoying a hard earned meal. Definitely once in a lifetime opportunity. All in all, it was a great short trip and beautiful memories were made.
Great day in Chobe. Saw a lot of animals. Very knowledgeable guides. First we did game drive and afterwards we did the cruise where we got even closer in on the animals. Lunch was also very good. Very good organised day. Remember to bring some USD cash for visa and for tips.
Just visited Victoria Falls and Chobe in Feb and it was so beautiful. Chobe safari was amazing, seen so many elephants, giraffes, hippos and a lion eating which was a rare experience to see. My little grand daughter enjoyed it too! Worth a visit
Our experience with Intondolo Safaris and Tours was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. Our guides, Mickey and Yandiee, were timely, responsive, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable—everything you could hope for in safari professionals. They made our safari at Chobe National Park a true 10/10 experience. Their deep understanding of the wildlife and ecosystem brought every game drive to life, and they were always eager to answer questions and share insights. We saw an incredible variety of animals, and it was clear they knew exactly where to go and how to position us for the best possible sightings. Beyond the safari itself, Mickey and Yandiee went above and beyond by organizing multiple transfers for us, ensuring safe, smooth, and punctual transportation throughout our trip. That level of care and attention made the entire experience stress-free and seamless. If you’re looking for a professional, well-organized, and unforgettable safari experience, Intondolo Safaris and Tours is an excellent choice. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone visiting the area.
There were so many elephants! We did see lions, giraffes, buffalo, and a very scary prehistoric looking croc. Take a hat, towel, sunscreen, and sunglasses. Water and soda are provided. My only issue is that I lodged in Zambia and had issues with my ride back across the borders.
Everything about this experience was just amazing, organized- professional- courteous- smile all the way. Both Tom on Zimbabwe side and Simon on Zambia side were just 10/10. Thank you
This was an amazing once in a lifetime tour. Bryn picked me up at my hotel and took me to the Botswana border where he walked me through the border process. He then connected me to the Botswana company, Holiday Africa Safari and Tours. Richard picked me and two other people up at the Botswana border for a day trip to the Chobe National Park. Chose he was a great driver and tour guide, he made sure we saw many animals and we had enough time to take plenty of pictures. He made sure we had plenty of water and once the driving tour was completed, he took us to the a local resort for lunch. The buffet lunch was good and we had plenty of time to eat. to our boat for the river tour. The boat was small and the Captain's name was Large. He was knowledgable about all the animals and a great boat captain. He made sure we had time to take plenty of pictures and had lots of water. After the boat tour, company staff returned us to the border where we met with our original drivers. I would highly recommend both company's.
I was assigned Intondolo Safaris and Tours after booking a tour through Viator. Nkue verified that we were set for the tour and a pickup at 7am from my hotel. Bryn picked me up promptly and took me to the Zambia/Botswana border. He walked me through the border process where we met the tour company i would be joining for the safari. I joined Holiday Africa Safari and Tours where Richard drove us to Chose National Park. He was a great tour guide. He took us to a resort for our prearranged lunch and then his staff made sure we got on the tour boat, and afterwards took us back to the border. Bryan was there to pick me up and took me back to my hotel. Really appreciate all the work and effort Nkue and Bryan did to make sure this day was successful. I highly recommend Intondolo Safaris and Tours for your tour needs.
A full on day that went above and beyond our expectations. Our guide Max was out to make sure we saw as much as possible and indeed we did. We were all thrilled with our tours and the buffet lunch too. A fabulous day out.
Very good experience in Botswana so remember passport if in zambia or zimbabwe . Had opptunity to see lots of animals in their natural habitat by safari truck and boat on the river Buffet lunch was very good .Service on tour excellent
Good experience, however it ended up a bit early , most of the boats still in the river when we were already on the way back to Vic. They mention reduced groups, but in reality all the tours are same size of approx 8 people bcase of jeep and boat capacity So they’re all the same
Totally enjoyed the boat cruise more than land as the guide got up close and was very informative, highly recommend. We saw a good selection of animals
What a lovely experience. I was picked up from my hotel by a lovely tour guide- it was a chilly morning and the car was warm which was very thoughtful . He promptly took me to the border , sorted out stamping my passport .I was then transferred to another lovely tour guide who drove us to the Botswana border - he drove exceptionally well despite the state of the road in some parts . The drive felt short because I slept but I believe it’s a 75km distance .Once we got to Botswana we met another guide who was going to do the land game drive with us , we drove about 10 minutes and got to the Chobe National Park - the drive is short but can get chilly and windy because the vehicle is open so dress warm and wear a hat that is secure .the game drive on land was a treat , we even spotted lions that had just hunted a giraffe . The river cruise was magical , the elephants were swimming and the sunset on the way back was mesmerising.
Transport was on time, easy to cross the border into Botswana, and saw SO MANY elephants. The lunch was also great! Highly recommend!!
This truly was a once in a lifetime experience! Intondolo group was exceptional. To the small group, private pick up, to the guides they picked in Chobe. We had an unbelievable day and could not be more grateful to the team.
Excellent , lovely guide. Highly recommend this tour! Saw a lot of wonderful animals on the safari tour.
Actual tour with safari guide was fantastic but it only lasted two hours. Too long spent on the water looking at birds & crocodiles. Ten hour day & only two looking at animals.
Great day out !! Seeing so many animals in their natural habitat Highly recommend 🦒🦁🦛🐯 …………………….
Wonderful, singular experience for those who haven’t experienced a safari before. All others in our group had before, but still said this one was great. There’s a lot of groups involved with moving you across the border and the land safari and river “cruise,” but they had it all figured out. We got to see zebras (on the road to Botswana), elephants, impalas, elephants, a Lion, and a giraffe on land. For the River cruise, we saw LOTS of crocodiles, water buffalo, hippos, vultures, more elephants, and various birds. Also, the buffet lunch was surprisingly good. Everyone who has seen my pics on social media is jealous. To top it off, we got held up on the ride back to Victoria Falls by a stubborn elephant. Great time!
Wonderful safari. Saw lots of animals including lions, hippos, elephants. Staff was excellent and attentive.
The most incredible trip! The staff that looked after us were excellent. Provided a seamless day from pick up, assistance with immigration, and then on the trips. The game drive was fantastic, Figo was informative and really attentive to help find what we were eager to see. The river cruise was also amazing. Saw so many animals up close. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting!
Great staff, saw a lot of wildlife, went by boat in am, had lunch then out again on land. Was a once in a lifetime trip for us.
We went with a different company but it seems like every group does the same game drive. It's really worth it and very extraordinary to see the animals like that. I highly recommend you do a boat trip though as part of this if it's not offered. It really was magical to see everything from boat.
Brilliant from start to finish pick up perfect our drivers so helpful at border patrol both sides and both the river and land was totally amazing packed with animals and lovely buffet lunch
Wonderful day seeing lots of elephants, birds, buffalo, giraffes, and zebras. The highlight of the day was seeing male lions and even a cub!
Fabulous day safari - saw lots of animals and had a brilliant tour guide called Brian who was friendly and knowledgable! Nothing was too much trouble for him. Lunch was okay however drinks expensive. River safari also pleasant and lots of things seen
The Chobe Full Day Safari offers both boat and land viewing experiences. I highly recommend this full day safari because you will have the opportunity to view wildlife from a boat for over half of the time and this is the way to go for a couple of reasons. When it is hot outside which is very common in September in Botswana, being on the river will feel far better than on land! The Boat will allow you to have a very close view of Crocs and Hippos. And you will also see some birds you will not see on land as well as great views of other wildlife such as Elephants, Water Buffalo and Impalas. Lastly, the scenery along the river is amazing ...a must! This tour also provides a wonderful all you can eat lunch buffet at a Riverside Resort! The Resort is very nice and offers escape from the heat in September. The lunch was one my my favorite meals while we we're in Africa for two weeks! The land experience followed lunch and offered as expected offered a different experience than water. I will worn you it was VERY HOT (in September) and very BUMPY as we were tossed up and down, side to side while driving through the soft sandy park. So bumpy that that my phone and my friends Fitbit thought we had walked a number of miles that we did not. The wildlife viewing is good ...thousands of Impalas, many Elephants and a number of Giraffes and Zebras. We also were privileged to see 4 lions, 3 females and 1 male lounging under the shade of a group of trees. September is dry season in this area of Africa and it was extremely dry as the vegetation was mostly dried up, but evidently there is still enough to support 10's of 1000's of animals. The tour company provides ample cold water, juices, and soft drinks on both their boats and Jeeps. I would do this Safari again, but would prefer going during a cooler time of year, such as April or May.
We took the Chobe river cruise and safari tour. It was very well organised lunch was delicious. Dave handlef us through the border to Botswana with no problem. Our safari driver Gift was excellent he tried so hard to show us leopard and a pride of lions. Cruise was excellent as well. I advise to not miss out on this tour
Our guide was exceptional. I didn't expect that I would get to see the abundance of wildlife that I saw in the park, including all of the Big Four that reside there, but our guide was able to locate all of them and get us very close. Overall, an amazing experience that the whole family can enjoy.
The animals were amazing, and I saw enought of them. The trip was poorly organized. I came from Victoria falls and cleared customs without delay. Then I had to wait at a dusty parking lot with dogs and pigs for the rest of the group who came from Zambia. It was a large group of Chinese with visa problems. Make sure that your whole group comes from the same country. We finally got to the park midday after being picked up at 7 am. Most of the animals were resting under the trees. The tour was short so we could get to lunch. The other car got sk and we hat to go back to pull them out. The guide had to borrow rope from a south African man. After lunch I took the boat tour with a different group. For the ride back I had yet another group. I was worried about getting back. So I can’t recommend this business.
Our first visit to Chobe - but definitely not our last. Cannot wait to come back.... Both the game drive, as well as the boat trip on the Chobe river was awesome. We had a very knowledgeable guide, who went out of his way to make the experience memorable. We were fortunate to see elephants do the river crossing. The only downside of the trip, was the lunch experience - we were very disappointed, as most of of the dishes at the buffet was empty. We had to eat what was available or nothing at all.... service was also poor.
Our guide Obi was experienced behind the wheel and very knowledgeable. We got to see elephants, giraffes, hippos, impalas, lions and even the elusive leopards. Couldn’t have asked for a better day. The lunch was plentiful and varied at the Cresta Moana Lodge which had a lovely setting by the Chobe River.
Great tour , our tour guide gaba was awesome , very knowledgeable and knew where to find the animals and was funny and friendly.
The whole day trip was beyond amazing. We went to 3 different countries...the border crossings were smooth. Our guide was very knowledgeable and knew what he was doing !! He skillfully made your we saw Lions, Elephants, 4 variety in deer famiy, Impalas water Buffalos, Hippopotamus, Aligaters, 🐊...and many other animals, whose names I don't remember. We did the Chobi river and land safari in Botswana !! Our guide was "GABA"tsholwe Sanbzarang of Tony Mobile Safary in Botswana. We got very personified service. We has 2 senior citizens, a youth and 2 ladies celebrating 50th Birthdays.
Great experience at Chobe! We got to see many animals, including lions and their cubs, lots of elephants, hippos, and various birds. Thanks a lot to our excellent guide!
Amazing! From the pick up sharp at 7am, to the swift transfer between borders, we were already impressed by the team. The transportation was in comfortable air conditioned vehicles. Brian and Michael did a great job transferring to Botswana where we met Gaba. He was an experienced guide that explained everything and took us on a carefully thought out trek to see all the animals he could find. We had the entire safari vehicle to ourselves which was such a treat! We did not feel rushed and Gaba really wanted to show us everything. He was very professional and courteous and made us feel very comfortable. Seeing the elephants on land as they move to the water and then from the water, is a complete experience. Would highly recommend this tour with Intondolo!
Absolutely appalling day trip from Victoria Falls. The boat we travelled on for the cruise portion of the day trip came too close to the hippos, as did other boats. As a result, a large male hippo became agitated and killed a baby hippo. Possibly, the male hippo was agitated and trying to actually attack the boat we travelled on and in his agitated state attacked the baby hippo instead - who knows. The baby hippo unfortunately got between the end of the boat and the hippo male, so he was in the way. It is little wonder that animal attacks on vehicles in Africa are now becoming common occurrences. Africa is the only place we personally have wanted to visit over recent years to observe the animals in their natural habitat. Unfortunately that $$$$ sign is all the tour operators are now after and they do not care about the welfare of the animals. It is only a matter of time before an attack on a boat capsizes it as is being experienced in Spain with the orca who have had enough of being disturbed and injured by propellers. Once again, the greed of the human race, the most dangerous predator on earth is ruining our planet.
A wonderful safari, haft day spent inland and the the second part on the river safari cruise. Amazing videos of elephants, hippos in the water and lions and other animals during both areas.
I booked the tour because the description said it was straight from Zambia to botswana however that was not the case, I had to pass through Zimbabwe which resulted me in paying $50 at the border (I only had a single entry visa). Other than that the tour was great, I saw a lot of different animals. The buffet lunch was delicious. At the end the tour refund me $50 to make up for their mistake, which I greatly appreciate.
The pickup was on time. The guides sorted out the border formalities. The knowledgeable guide in Chobe (his name was Gaba) took us to the right places to see lions, elephants, crocodiles, etc (all just a few metres away) and even explained geographical features of the area. An excellent day that was one of the highlights of our holiday.
It was a memorable day full of wildlife at close range. Guides especially the one from Botswana were excellent
Amazone g Tour! Lovely tourguides, good equipment and an overall nice experience! I would highly recommend this tour! Just LOVELY AND A FULL DAY OF JOY
Great day. game drive in the morning boat cruise in afternoon. Well organized tour. Buffet lunch had something for everyone
Exceeded my expectation. At every stage from booking the trip to its completion communication has been excellent. Everything was done as described and on time. Transfers were completed in a friendly and professional manner. The guides on the other side of the border were also friendly and professional. The added bonus was that we saw lots of animals and birds.
We had an absolutely amazing day in Chobe with Gaba as our guide! The transfer through the border was quick and easy. Gaba picked us up in Botswana and was with us for the rest of the day. He was incredibly knowledgeable about all of the animals and birds we saw, and made a special effort to help us see the things we were particularly interested in. Everything about Chobe National Park was beautiful and it was full of life. There was so much to see, even at the end of the "green" season! Gaba was patient and allowed us as much time as we wanted to take pictures and just watch the beautiful animals. At one point, a herd of elephants that we were watching across the river swam towards us and emerged right by our vehicle. It was an amazing experience that would not have happened if we had been rushed along. We saw everything we had hoped to see and more (even a leopard in a tree!). This day will have a special place in my heart forever. Thank you for a perfect "first safari" experience. The bar was set very high. We will be back!
The ability to drive along side the animals in Chobe is thrilling. The landscape itself feels like an adventure here alongside the animals. The boat cruise and game drive is a great way to see the animals on their normal daily patterns.
The tour was enjoyable and exceeded expectations. The guide, Jack, was very knowledgeable and able to track a couple of lions. I had a nice lunch served in a good restaurant. The afternoon river cruise was wonderful. The guide was also full of information. I saw a lot of elephants, hippos and water buffaloes, and crocodiles.
