Friendly, helpful and informative guide who took her time to answer any questions on the tour. Took us to all the sites we had read about.

Graziano was a fantastic guide. He was so good explaining about everything. We had a small group and he included us all. Great walking tour and the wine and cheese at the conclusion was amazing, we honestly thought it would be small which would have been good but it was huge - thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and recommended to do this.
The guide was very knowledgeable. There is a lot of walking and takes the full 3 hours. Small group was nice.
Our guide was knowledgeable, although perhaps concentrating more on art and architecture than history. The timing of the walk was perfect, because we took the funicular up to a hilltop overlook just before sundown. We elected to end the tour there and skip the mile walk back to the starting point for wine and cheese; so can’t comment on that aspect.
The historical walking tour was really good (because of the wonderful guide) and the cable car was a nice touch. There are stunning views to be seen throughout. But calling this a tasting is a stretch. If you have ever been to a food walking tour elsewhere, you'll be disappointed; the only food/wine we had was in the very end. We sat at a very touristy restaurant by Piazza Bra and were served 2 glasses of wine, water and a platter of local cold cuts with a very minor amount of cheese and some bread (the restaurant was certified gluten free and very careful at that; I am not gluten free and tried a bit of the "bread" - very very good!). We were sadly surrounded by smokers so it was quite unpleasant. Also, there was a barrage of people selling trinkets and flowers. All in all, I would recommend SOLELY having the walking tour and NOT having the tasting piece. The city is awesome and absolutely worth the visit.
We had an amazing walking tour of Verona with Monica as well as an incredible waking tour in Florence with Guilia
This was more of a walking tour than a Food tour. We walked for two hours before we sat down to eat. No stop for beverage or toilet break.
Morris was our guide. We later learned that he has been doing this tour twice a day for 30 years. It shows. He is very knowledgeable about all things northern Italy but especially Verona. His knowledge of the architecture, art, history and food was amazing. He is very energetic and deeply devoted to the guests’ enjoyment and comfort. We saw so many parts of the city. It was VERY well worth the cost of the tour. At the end of the walking tour there had been no stops for food or wine. At the final gathering point we thanked Morris and tipped him. My wife and I assumed the tour had gone on too long for the food part. We were so hungry so we took off in search of food. Morris actually located my cell number and called me and asked that we return to the group. I misunderstood and there was indeed food and wine for the group at a very nice restaurant at outdoor tables on the Piazza Bra. We had a wonderful complete meal with 2 glasses of wine and a variety of foods Morris has discussed on the tour. We socialized with Morris and the other guests from all over the world while enjoying amazing food and wine. We HIGHLY recommend this tour and our guide Morris. Unbeatable!
Our tour guide was fantastic and knowledgeable. We learned so much about the rich history of Verona.
This tour should be titled Walking tour. We spent 3 hours walking, no rest or bathroom stops. Never asked if anyone had any questions. The cable car was a Funicular railway. The food was just cold meets and only 1 cheese. 1 glass of red and white wine. No tasting offered. The guide left soon after food was offered.
This was a very informative tour about the city and history of Verona. We walked for about 2 hours to see the sights and finished across from the arena where we started and had wine along with platters of bread, meat and cheese to eat. Sarah was our guide and did a wonderful job.
The guide did not show up. I waited over an hour, but the guide never came. I was really looking forward to the food sampling tour of Verona, but no guide, no food, and no explanation why the guide didn’t come. Very disappointing. Terrible, terrible, terrible!!!
Fantastic tour, guide very knowledgeable. Lots of hidden gems discovered, we wouldn’t have discos sees these on our own. Ending in a lovely lunch and 2 wines to taste.
Verona was an amazing experience! We learned a lot about this city and walk to many famous spots that we would not have found on our own. The tour is worth every penny!
Really nice, small group mix. Lots of walking but really interesting commentary from our guide, who was very warm and friendly . I did this on my last morning, so I had already been to most I'd the places on the tour, barr the cable car ( which is actually a funicular railway for those who might be daunted by an actual cable car trip). I'd recommend this for your first day to allow you to navigate and get your bearings. That said, it was a nice walk around the city and the views from Panoramic San Pietro were absolutely stunning! Well worth the walk. People in the small group of a round 12 were all happy and friendly. Then, those of us who had booked to have food and wine were walked to the restaurant. There were only 3 of us, sat opposite the arena, eating a fantastic (and large!) charcuterie with Veronese wines, cheeses and meats. It was very well worth the money. Highly recommended.
Very informative and interesting. Monica is an excellent guide. Ending with two lovely wines and a board of meat and cheese which were extremely tasty.
Not what we were expecting. It was primarily a walking tour and we were taken to a restaurant at the end of 3 hours of walking. No visiting local eateries along the way as was advertised. The tour was interesting and the guide was excellent - just not what we signed up for.
We enjoyed the walking tour, especially the cable car and food tasting at the end! The only thing we had a problem with was finding the start point... "Galleria Rivoli" wasn't coming up on Google maps for me at the time, so after wandering around Piazza Bra and side streets and asking three locals who all sent us in the wrong direction, we found it 15 minutes late! Luckily, communication with Viator was quick and we managed to find our guide still on Piazza Bra. We did this tour in 38° heat and the guide was great at stopping in the shade.
Amazing walking tour of Verona with Sara. Sara was full of amazing information and set a great pace for our group. Very enjoyable day
We had a fabulous tour! Great tour guide! The small group was nice and we learned so much about Verona.
Maurice was great! Met us promptly, had so much knowledge about Verona, was a good laugh! Then ended with a massive board of food, which was delicious. Small group of people as well which was nice
Our guide Andreas was extremely knowledgeable and affable, making the city tour the highlight of our trip. He showed us his Verona mixing the history with legend and sharing tips on places to eat and when to visit to experience the music and wine festivals at their best. He truly knows the city and region well. Thoroughly nice chap.
Worth going on. Such a wealth of knowledge and so many interesting things that we would not have known about if we hadn’t done the tour
Mauro was brilliant as our guide. He took us on a journey through the many eras of Veronese history in a fun and informative way. We explored all the major sights and had an absolute feast at the end.
The walking tour was great and super informative. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the city and our guide was very knowledgeable. The “local food tasting” was not worth it though in my opinion. At the end of the walking tour, the guide drops you off at the restaurant where they have a reserved table for you and then leaves. No one to really talk you through what you’re eating. And it’s basically just a meat and cheese board with 2 types of wine.
Meeting location was easy to find and guide was excellent. More walking than I anticipated but had frequent stops. The cable car ride was good as you could get a nice view of the city from the top. At the end we sampled food which was very plentiful.
Tour was cancelled by Operator who asked if I wanted a refund or assistance with another tour. Requested another tour. No response. Then, requested a refund. Operator responded I’d receive the refund AFTER the tour time - the tour THEY had cancelled. 😅
We were looking forward to our food since we had done food tours in Rome and Florence and we loved both of them. Unfortunately we showed up at our location 5 minutes late (it was raining and the sidewalks were slippery so we were moving a bit slower). We looked around for a few minutes trying to find our tour. Could not find anyone so I reached out to tour operator support. I was told our guide waited 10 minutes for us which was not true. We asked if we could meet them at the next stop and was told the tour operator turns off their phone. I am guessing the tour support had some idea of which locations the tour visited but they were no help whatsoever.
Very nice tour. Our guide Paula was very knowledgeable about all the points of interest. She even took us to a Store’s bottom level to show us uncovered ancient Roman remains.
Sylvia was a wonderful tour guide. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly and kind. A fantastic way to delve into the history and culture of such a beautiful city. We loved every minute of this tour - and had the added bonus of our group of 8 friends being the only ones on the tour. The platters at the end were more than generous and a lovely way to relax after three hours of walking and soaking up the culture. Thank you Sylvia - absolutely top notch guide. Wonderful.
not a foodtour that we are used to. first you walk for 3 hours without any tastings og drinks. first at the end you get served some wine and tapas.
Great tour. Guide was informative and great company. Very knowledgeable guide. Inspired me to book the next trip to Verona.
Wonderful tour with a local. Very interesting with a ride in the cable car. Amazing views over the city. Be warned lots of steps to get back down again. Plenty of time to take things in. It was 36c yesterday. So remember to take water. There is a fountain at the top also to get it for free. Our guide was a lovely lady with 2 sons. (Sorry l can't remember her name). The food and drink is at the end of the tour and was very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend. There was only 8 of us on the tour, it was very friendly and lovely to chat and here the different experiences.
Really great tour! Monica was a great guide - Very knowledgeable, shared so much info and gave us great insight about this beautiful city! You can tell she’s passionate about the city, and showed us nooks and crannies we would’ve never noticed had we walked the streets on our own. Visiting Verona through this tour made us truly appreciate this beautiful city to which we would love to return to and spend more time. And the food and local wine were delicious and plenty for a ‘light snack’! Great way to end the tour! Definitely recommend!
We had a great guide who was very knowledgeable on the history of verona. A beautiful town to explore. It was finished with a lovely food platter at the end, and two glasses of the local wines. Would highly recommend.
Mauro was an outstanding guide, a great and very informative tour. So much history in such a beautiful town.
Our guide Mauro was very professional and explained everything He was great also the food and wine at the end of the tour was Better than we expected
Tripadvisor pulled a bait and switch. I booked the Verona Local Food Tasting and Walking Tour with Cable Car. I have booked these types of tours directly with businesses throughout Europe and always enjoyed the time spent going to various bars and eating and drinking with a small group of people. Tripadvisor latched me on to a walking tour of Verona, walking for what seemed miles throughout the city. When I asked when we would stop and do the wine/food tasting, the guide said it would be at the end. At the end of the city tour, the people in our group left and I was left with the guide. He directed me to a bar at Piazza Bra where I sat alone with a charcuterie and a glass of wine. Pretty sad, really. I won't be booking these tours thru Tripadvisor anymore.
The tour was great. The guide was very knowledgeable. Some, very interesting facts. We went to corners of Verona I had already visited while wondering around and he provided context and history. Food was also great and the restaurant was in a great spot.
Our guide Francesa was so engaging and informative. Lots of little titbits of information along the way. So much so that when we were 2 hours into the walking tour, we thought we had only covered around half an hour of our experience. At the end of the journey we had the chance to sample some great wine and food. Well worth the booking!
Our guide Mauro was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and he took us to places that steered clear of most of the larger tour groups.
Mauro the guide was such a nice person, informative without going overboard and fun with the facts. When it came to the food and wine, he had good suggestions and was a pleasure to have with us.
The walking along the quiet streets of Verona, away from the crowds. We misunderstood the description and thought this was a restaurant to restaurant walking tour. It’s a city tour with food at the end. Madeleine is a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable. We didn’t like the crowds at the funicular or Juliet’s house, but the views at the top of funicular were fantastic.
The guide was very kind and knowledgeable about Verona - I would recommend her as a guide. However how this tour is billed is misleading - it is billed as a "food tasting and walking tour" - it is in fact a walking tour with a plate of salumi at the end as an after thought - we all expected to stop and taste things along the way (like the special torta of the area we saw at the bakery), but we did not taste anything for 3 hours and were given a plate of salumi at the end that the tour guide did not stay to share with us. You either need to add more tastings or change the tour name. I have done many "tasting" tours and this was not one.
We we under the impression (based on tour description) that it would be a food tour with different stops along the way to try local cuisine. Needless to say we arrived hungry and were told the tour was not a food tour but rather a walking tour with a local meats/cheeses platter at a restaurant in the square at the end of the tour. Also worth noting the tour does not include entrance into the colosseum. Our guide was great and she was super informative about Verona, we learned a lot and enjoyed it but was marketed very differently than what we experienced.
We ended up having a private tour since we were the only ones who signed up. It was perfect saw a lot more than I expected our tour guide, Mauro, I believe was extremely knowledgeable. Out of all the tour I took on the trip this one was the one where we learned the most. We got to see the touristy areas and the local back roads as well. A lot of fun facts with good laughs and a delicious meal at the end. We left the food tasting so full we didn’t even have dinner that night. I highly recommend if you’re into history and a big beautiful charcuterie board.
This was THE best way to experience Verona when you have a short timeline/ Our guide was great and very knowledgeable. Tour was a complete overview of the city. great food tasting and a terrific wine tasting and store at the end. Highly recommend.
Loved getting to roam the streets of verona and learn all about its history! Best part was the view from the top of the cable car ride. I would call out though this tour is a lot of walking so wear comfy shoes
Great tour. Only 8 people in our group. Good mix of walking and talking. Be prepared to walk about 4 miles or so. Tasting is at the very end.
Engaging and knowledgeable guide. Lots of great information to help understand the city better. Excellent way to get to know your way around Verona.
