Great walk around the old town with lots of historical information. Saw all the main sites plus inside a small church, and an underground archiologal site.

Itinerary
Piazza Bra is the center of the social life in Verona. The square is overlooked by the majestic Arena and by Palazzo Barbieri, the City Hall. From there it is also possible to see the Palazzo Gran Guardia and the Museo Lapidario.
This incredible Roman amphitheater was built during the 1st century AD. The name "arena" refers to the sand that covered the stage where the gladiators fought. As of today, it is still used for public shows and concerts.
Herb’s square is the ancient Roman forum of the city. In the center of the square you can see the fountain of Madonna Verona, a monument representing the city as a beautiful woman. Today, the square is an important meeting place for the locals, old and young.
Juliet’s House is a must-see for all visitors to the city who want to see the romantic side of Verona. Dating back to the late 13th century, this tower house displays a bas-relief of a hat that, according to tradition, is the coat of arms of the Capulet Family. We will stop outside in the garden, without entering.
Also called Piazza Dante, for the statue dedicated to the most important Italian poet, Piazza dei Signori is framed by various important buildings, such as the Palazzo della Ragione and the Palazzo Podestà. This is where you will say goodbye to your guide.

The history of Verona makes you want to explore it longer than you might expect. It is so rich in multiple layers of families, governments and political powers.
Laura our guide was excellent with a detailed knowledge of the history of Verona and the architecture of the buildings. We really enjoyed the tour and were amazed to discover how old Verona was.
We booked this activity for our first morning in Verona and it was a perfect start to our trip. Our guide Alessandro was very knowledgeable and engaging. As well as showing us all the main historical sites in the old town he also pointed out great places to eat and drink. Really worth doing as a way of getting to know Verona.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a good introduction to the city. Good tips on where to eat and places to explore in more detail.
What a wonderful tour of Verona. Our guide was amazing- so friendly and knowledgeable. She showed us all the sights and explained the history of the city. Well worth the money!
It’s a full immersion of important historical sites as well as off the usual tourist streets and into wonderful streets little seen.
The pace was nice! The information from our guide exceptional. Lots of laughter, information and suggestions. *****Of note, if you are catching an UBER, be early for a 4:30 tour. It took us over an hour and a half to get an Uber for a 1.9 mile ride. We would have walked, but my wife had a recent hip injury. I would go in early, locate the pharmacy, have a gelato or coffee and relax. Give yourself more than an hour to catch a ride, make it two! Lots of cobblestones, makes for a somewhat uneven surface, but hey... nostalgic, of the era and lovely. There is so much art and history "literally" woven into the streets, walls and buildings in Verona. It truly is a must do. The piazzas ( sp?)are glorious. If you are able to take an earlier tour, do so and go back to visit a café or Gelato store after your tour. Bravo!
Our guide was excellent . Very knowledgeable and bubbly and always stopped to answer questions. I would thoroughly recommend
A decent walking tour of the old city. Worthwhile if you know nothing or very little about Verona. A big focus on food. Very thin on history.
A wonderful medieval town. We visited a mesmerizing performance (Paganini Paradise) in the Arena and had a superb dinner at a restaurant close by.
Laura was warm, friendly and attentive to the needs of those with hearing issues. She spoke clearly in excellent English, was informative and open to questions. The pace, strolling through Verona suited us very well as older tourists
Great tour with excellent tour guide local to Verona. Alessandra did a great job showing us important places in Verona
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about Verona's history & recommended many wonderful things to do
Felt like the tour guide didn’t want to be there. Information was presented quite uninterestingly and therefore made a beautiful historical place quite boring.
The guided walk was a very interesting and inspiring. The guide was very knowledgeable and made sure everyone was able to hear and experience. He offered insight on good restaurants and activities/sightseeing to do. After this tour we decided to extend our stay in Verona for a few days!
This was a brilliant tour. Alessandro was so knowledgeable and he is clearly passionate about his home city. It really was the perfect way to familiarise us with the Verona. We did the 10.30am tour and were finished by lunchtime. Alessandro was really good at pointing out great places to eat and drink. One to which we returned after the tour and had the best focaccia pizza ever. Would highly recommend this tour. Thanks!
Great value tour from a very friendly, knowledgeable and informed guide wbo clearly loves the city she was describing. Amazing culture and history very well explained.
Me & my partner had a wonderful experience on the tour. In less than 2 hours we visited the key historical spots in verona & learned a lot about its history from ancient to modern times.
Exectly as promised. Scrolling between the allies, crossing the river by roman and medieval bridges, learning about history, architecture and politics
Gave us a good overview of Verona’s history and architecture with a walk around the main areas of the old city,
Verona has so much history and so many interesting places to visit and the tour gives a great overview of this
Alessandro is SUPERB--I've been on many guided tours throughout Italy and this may have been the very best. He's deeply knowledgeable, articulate (with easy to understand English), and just solid in every way. Through the entire tour he wove together fascinating history of this city with countless recommendations of restaurants and gelateria. He truly helped us fall in love with Verona. If we were here longer we'd take his food & wine tour for sure.
Really enjoyed the tour and it was made more interesting by our guide, Laura, taking us off the main streets as much as she could.
This was our first trip to Verona. We were staying in Bologna. We arrived in about 1 hour. A tour guide Alessandro could not have been more pleasant, engaging and very knowledgeable. Because he was born in Verona, he knew much about the history and all the hidden gems along the city. He also had great recommendations for restaurants. Verona is a beautiful city and I would highly recommend a guided tour with Alessandro.
Laura , our guide was very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour for when you arrive in Verona. It’s a great tour to learn your way around town and get to see all the points of interest. After you can spend your time going back and visiting each site independently.
Excellent way to get the history of Verona and the architecture that makes up the many beautiful buildings. It gives a taste of of ghe things you might like to go back to. On Mondays, most of the museums are not open.
Informative, you can tell she loves her city and wants to share the splendor
Our Verona tour was excellent from start to finish, our guide was very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. We were given lots of information on the history of the city including good places to buy food and drink. Highly recommended.
It was excellent. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. He had excellent English and brought us to quiet and interesting parts of Verona.
Guide was friendly. engaging and provided very interesting commentary. Also provided great recommendation for lunch.
Perfect introduction to Verona. Laura was very knowledgeable and was happy to answer any questions. We were a small group which made the experience more enjoyable.
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about Verona's history, but especially adept at describing the architecture in a way that really makes its history come alive as we walked along the streets of Verona. She knew the answer to our every question and we certainly have much more appreciation for this city after our time with her. Highly recommended!!
This was a great experience and our tour guide was pleasant and very informative. Definitely a must do while in the city.
Very informative enjoyed learning about the history of Verona. Would highly recommend to help you not only learn about Verona but to find your way around
Our guide was knowledgeable, very enthusiastic and funny, making the whole tour very enjoyable. She very obviously loves Verona. We saw parts of the city we may well have missed which were amazing and really felt we got to know the place in the brief time we were there. Both my wife and eye would thoroughly recommend this walking tour.
Fantastic guide who really gave everything and knew everything about Verona and the history. It was a pleasure to be on the tour and gave a good feeling of the city. Thanks to our sweet guide and to the two beautiful people from Northern Ireland
Good informal tour. However, a bit too fast; a bit more observation of the older participants (up to 86 years old) would be good. The English was not always spoken with an accent and slowly. A bit tight on time; visiting individual churches would have been nice.
Unfortunately we took an evening tour, (in addition, the tour was postponed 1h from 17.30 to 18.30) and all the cozy and nice places we saw and got tips about were closed when we were done with the tour. Super nice guide that I forgot the name of.
With only 12 people, we had a local, very dedicated, well English-speaking tour guide who was able to tell us a lot, gave us good tips, and brought us the culture and lifestyle of Verona with great joy and commitment. It was a great tour.
The guide prepared and enthusiastic! He loves his city and his job. Obviously it would take more than 2 hours to visit Verona. However, we managed to get an idea and see the most important sites of the city.
