I was worried this food tour would be a repeat of one we had taken about 10 days earlier in Milan. It was completely different. The food was great, but the guide, Alesandra, was even better. Her knowledge was enclyclopedic -- about food, wine, culture, community. She cultivated all of us individually and together. Her candor and willingness to share made the experience exceptional, start to finish.

Itinerary
Follow your local foodie, live a one-of-a-kind experience and, just like a real local, start your day in the right way drinking an authentic Italian espresso. This is how this culinary journey begins and after a brief stroll near majestic Arena, you'll deepen into the original local delicacies.
After a very Italian beginning, a classic aperitif is waiting for you. You'll stop in one of the most traditional "Osterie" of the city, where you will savor some local products, such as Soppressa (a type of salami), Monte Veronese cheese and the famous cicchetti from Verona.
Then discover the aromas and main features of the traditional local wines, such as the Valpolicella red wine, or the white wines coming from the East of Verona and Lake Garda.
The next step will make your mouth water: enjoy a traditional dish and discover some local culinary traditions with your expert guide. Continue your visit in the food district of Verona, where the most "Osterie" and botteghe are located
Finally, stop in an historical Gelateria to taste a yummy artisanal Gelato to refresh your mouth. This tour will allow you to see Verona from a brand-new perspective, made of great simplicity and unique flavors.

our guide, was friendly and very welcoming! She went out of her way to tell us about the history, architecture, customs of the city. She even stayed on after the tour and gave me suggestions for what to do next! Lovely woman and nice tour! The other participants were friendly and nice to chat with! I’ve found that the walking food tours are fun and a great way to explore new places!
Excellent tour with interesting visits to various restaurants. Guide extremely knowledgeable and easy to listen to
We had the most amazing time on our guided food/walking tour. Ana our guide was so kind, thoughtful, funny, and informative. She mentioned this was her first guided tour, and she is a rock star! We ate some of the best food we had while in Italy on our travels. In between restaurants Ana showed us little hidden gems of Verona that we would not normally have passed by. The tour was an easy walk, with view inclines or stairs. As a bonus, it ends right at the steps to the funicular that takes you to the top for panoramic views of Verona.
Alessandra was a fantastic and informative guide. The tour gave us a great introduction to the regional food and there was plenty of good food and wine. Loved the experience and even went back to some of the places she took us too,
Don’t miss this tour of Verona! Our guide, Ali, did a fantastic job, explaining each part of our guided meal, wine tasting, through the city, using her local knowledge to bring it alive. We certainly tried new dishes and explored areas just off the tourist trail.-excellent value.
I thought this was a great tour overall - the guide was lovely and it was a beautiful walk around Verona. I would say it felt a bit lighter on the food and more emphasis on the wine. There were four stops but the morning pastry is quite small, the wine tasting is just a bit of salami and cheese, and the amarone risotto portion is quite small. The polpette were the star of the show! Would recommend if you’re looking more for a light walking tour with plenty of wine and some smaller food tastings.
This tour was excellent, Beatrice was an excellent guide, the food and wine was delicious, learnt the history 0f verona. Beatrice asked lots of questions to get to know us as a group, she was very interested in all of us. The tour lasted about 3 hrs, there were only 3 couples of different nationalities and everyone got on really well. Would highly recommend this tour.
Romina was an excellent guide! We learned so much about Verona at a friendly pace with food and drinks along the way. It seemed like we were able to see alot of the highlights of Verona in tje time that we were together and she ended the tour at the base of the funicular so that we could take it up for a spectacular view! she was a great guide - fun and very knowledgable!
A lovely guide, Alessandra, well chose n stops and food. Gave us a good introduction to Verona on our first day here.
Excellent tour - great contextual insights for the city and its food. Good recommendations and a very good re-introduction to the city we first visited 20+ years ago
Really enjoyed the tour. Tasted some home based food and wine with a passionate tour guide. I recommend
This was the perfect tour for us! We had limited time in Verona and wanted to make the most of it. Alessandra was amazing. She gave us just the right amount of information with each stop and while we walked to make it interesting but not overwhelm. I highly recommend both this tour and her as a guide.
Andrea was an amazing guide with current tips on how to enjoy the old town of Verona as well a brief bits of history that made for a perfect blend of information. The food stops were amazing, all small shops featuring local specialties. I revisited several of them on my own in my additional days in Verona and enjoyed their welcoming hospitality. It was a wonderful first-day introduction to the city for me.
A fantastic experience, see some great sights and views of Verona, a fantastic guide in Anna with some interesting facts, fun and information throughout. Get to try some great and interesting local food and wine all very generous portions, friendly people and great value for mine
Our guide (Beatrice) was superb, very knowledgeable and took us to the best off beat places for true local experiences. A must do for a super way to find your way around the historic part of Verona.
We loved Romina and all her wisdom about Verona and Italy! This was a great tour in a gorgeous city. Plenty to eat and drink, and lots of laughter.
Our tour guide Romania was the absolute best. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and what a joy to be with. She went out of her way personally for us! The tour and food was amazing. Learned so much. Loved every minute!!
As it turned out, we had a private tour with Romina and enjoyed it very much. She is very knowledgeable about Verona, the history, architecture, food and wine. We especially enjoyed the risotto, wine tasting and true gelato. We highly recommend this tour.
Romina was a friendly, engaging host who took us around Verona explaining lots of interesting facts and historical information. All the food and drink we had was absolutely delicious. A great way to sample some local delicacies whilst learning some history.
Our guide Alessandra was friendly, knowledgeable and the food/wine well curated. We stopped for coffee and pastries, meatballs, risotto, wine tasting and gelato. All lovely! We found out lots about Verona and the region.
We had such a great time discovering the history and food of Verona. Alessandra was such a knowledgeable and delightful guide! We loved every single place we visited and every food/wine we had. We really appreciated the little stops along the way with bits of history. Everything was as described and even more! Grazie Alessandra per la bella esperienza!
Alessandra and Martina were fabulous. They took us to local, non-touristy places. They were interesting with local Verona food and wine and locations. I would highly recommend this tour.
A great introduction to Verona on our first morning in town. Lorenzo was lively and informative, and there was a great variety of food and drink
Amazing trip! We traveled by train from Venice to Verona in the morning. It was a bit of a walk from the train station to the meeting point but a beautiful and safe city. Our guide Alessandra was fantastic! Best guide ever! It was a very small group and very engaging. I learned so much and had wonderful food and wine. Thank you!
This is a laid back, fun and interesting tour allowing you to experience typical Verona cuisine whilst walking the city. Lorenzo is a fantastic guide, both knowledgable and funny. We had a great group and enjoyed talking about a number of topics. The meatballs are fantastic, the cheese in the Enoteca is a perfect pairing with the Amerone. I highly recommend!
A lovely, informative walking tour of Verona. Our Ways Tour Guide provided a relaxed, enjoyable experience that included just the right balance of walking, eating and drinking. I would recommend this tour without hesitation to anyone.
This tour was fantastic with the knowledgeable and friendly Anna. It ended up as a private tour for just the 2 of us, which made it more fun and conversational. There were many stops and the food choices were brilliant. The Amorone Risotto is the signature dish and did not disappoint. Wine tastings, snacks and of course gelato!!! As we weaved through the streets of Verona, Anna explained the history and other interesting facts. Highly recommend this tour.
Anna was an incredible guide — putting me and my son at ease swiftly and tailoring the tour precisely to our interests and level of knowledge. We felt we could ask her any question at all (even silly ones) and she was engaging, charming and hugely informative. It felt more like a few hours spent in the company of a friend who happens to know all the best food and wine secrets of Verona (and Italy). The sites we visited and the food and drinks we consumed would have taken several days for us to locate ourselves but having Anna there made it seamless and therefore completely relaxing, meaning we could focus on our enjoyment and understanding of how the multi-faceted history of Verona gave it its wealth of delicacies, from dried cod and polenta to an exquisite risotto al Amarone and some of the finest wines of the region (and the world). A wonderful tour to start the trip as we now have the confidence and knowledge to make the most of the rest of our holiday. Not to mention a list of things to try and buy before we leave. Grazia mille, Anna!
My wife and I had a great experience on the tour. History and great food are always a good combo. Jleyna did an awesome job and we met some new friends! Thanks again, Jleyna!!
Anna was fabulous and taught us so much about Verona. The food and wine were great, and overall it was a very enjoyable and worthwhile experience.
Really nice experience, guide was knowledgeable and engaging. Food was delicious - especially the risotto.
Great tour with a wonderful guide, Alessandra. We tried places we wouldn’t have found on our own. The food and wine selections were filling and delicious.
What a wonderful way to get to know Verona's food and wine culture! Jlenia was a knowledgeable host, and an overall wonderful guide to the highlights of the city centre, as well as the history of not just the food and wine, but also the overall culture of the Veneto Region. My husband and I had a wonderful time walking the streets of Verona and enjoyed being introduced to its unique food and wine. Thank you and highly recommended!
Fabulous tour by Anna. She gave us a wonderful food tour plus history of the amazing city. She also gave us tips on where to eat for our stay.
Small group, went through the local food scene and culture from breakfast to apperitivo, lunch, wine, and gelato. Our guide Alessandra was superb in pacing the itinerary and guided us in English throughout. Good price point too. Would highly recommend it.
We have taken food tours in Rome and Mexico City. Since this was our first visit to Verona, we thought this would be a good way to get introduced to the city and its cuisine. We joined a small group (five of us in total) with Alessandra as our guide. After a first stop for coffee (naturally), we meandered through town sampling fine food and drink for over three hours. We never felt rushed — in fact it was all very casual. Our main meal was risotto Amarone, something completely different from any Italian food we’d experienced. And of course we finished up with gelato. All of it was time well spent and we heartily recommend it.
It was a great tour! Food, wine, and leader were fantastic! We really enjoyed it and highly recommend it for a half day in Verona! We learned a lot and tasted a lot!
My wife and I enjoy 2/3 city breaks every year, and always book a formal food and wine tour as a means to understand more about the destination being visited. Sampling different local produce is important to us, and we always feel a responsibility to embrace what it is that makes every particular city so special.
My husband and I had a fantastic walking food tour with Anna! We booked the day before and we had her to ourselves. She was super knowledgeable not only about Verona but the food and wine. We had about 5 stops and met some of the owners/staff. I highly recommend this tour.
Our Tour guide: Jlenia Rech was fantastic. She exceed our expectations! Ate at some Michelin Star restaurants and best of all was the Wine experience and gelato at the end.
Beatrice was the perfect hostess on a very enjoyable tour. We got to try lots of different foods that we probably wouldn’t have done without her guidance. Would highly recommend.
This was my first time doing a food tour, and it was a fantastic experience. Our guide was fabulous, five stars doesn't do her justice. She answered all our questions about food and culture. She is an amazing ambassador for her city and region. All the food and wine were excellent, and we tried food we might not have otherwise eaten. At every place Ale brought us, she was warmly welcomed by the staff, which reflected their regard for her. I never felt rushed and enjoyed the experience. I would highly recommend this tour.
We had a lovely Tour. The food and wine was delish. Alex, our guide was a pleasure to talk to. Very knowledgeable and friendly. A great intro to Verona food and wine and the history surrounding them. Highly recommended.
Great, informal and interesting introduction to Verona and its culinary offerings. Friendly and engaging guide made the experience memorable.
Anna our guide was amazing. So much information not just on coffee, food and wine but also on the history and recommendations of places to see and restaurants to try. An amazing guide. Full 5 stars just for Anna.
Our guide was very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed trying some local tastes as we wandered through the historic centre.

Excellent tour, Jlenia was great, very knowledgeable, friendly, and gave us lots of tips for the area generally. We also liked the selection of restaurants and wineries, got a good overview of the area, would definitely recommend this to others.
