Absolutely wonderful with Francesco ! He is so passionate about Verona and everything past/present . The day was so incredibly hot but the time spent with him was fantastic. we learned so much and He took the time to answer questions and the tour was more than expected. Even our 10 year old said how good it was and has not enjoyed previous tours . Do this tour with Francesco ! My only regret is not having any euros to tip him at that time , just my card. Grazie ! Francine

Terrible! Maria canceled on me last minute when I went to through the time and expense of getting to Verona!! She blamed it on the heat but there were many tours going on all day! A poor excuse!! Going to Verona to see Casa Di Giuliettes house was a dream for me and it was ruined by an inconsiderate selfish tour guide... Maria P!!
Maria was an amazing guide and storyteller! My entire family enjoyed the tour and we made some wonderful memories while learning about Verona. This was one of my favorite tours while on our trip in Italy. 🧡
Absolutely loved it! Maria is a great story teller and full of historical insights. Enjoyed walking and listening to her. It was extra bonus because I love architecture and that she shared different era and how the architecture reflected the time period! She was very kind to take pictures of us and one of the standby asked her question about Romeo’s house and she was kind enough to offer her the info. See?! She should have signed up! It is so much more enjoyable when you hear the historical background instead of trying to figure out on your own. Totally worth it!
This was a fantastic walking tour to learn the history of Romeo and Juliet while also discovering the history of Verona. Maria Pia was the best tour guide and made our experience that much more special. Highly recommend this tour!!!!!!!
Fantastic tour, our guide was absolutely great. She explained the whole story not the movie, while walking around the streets & pointing out everything. It was the most satisfying tour we’ve had.
Maria Pia was a wonderful storyteller and made the story of Romeo & Juliet come alive as we walked the ancient streets of Verona ! I would highly recommend her tour to anyone visiting Verona.
The meet up location for this tour given by Trip Advisor was different from the location air bnb guests were given. Frustrating!
We thought we were just going to enjoy a nice tour of Juliet's home, but got so much more. The history of the area, being advised that we were walking on ancient fossils in the marble on the ground, and then looking up at the different centuries and identifying each style of architecture was very helpful for the rest of our time throughout Italy. Verona was so much more than we expected. This was easily the most informative tour we did in any city in Italy, we did 6 tours. Our guide was very entertaining, funny, had a great understandable accent, and we appreciated the earpiece while she spoke in her microphone. The only drawback was our schedule and we had to leave early just as she was wrapping up. Highly recommend this great tour.
If you love history, architecture, Romeo and Juliet, or the movie Letters to Juliet, this is the perfect tour for you! Maria was the perfect Tour Guide! As we walked through Verona, she shared the city's historical importance, explained the architecture, told the true story of Romeo e Giuletta, and showed filming locations for the movie "Letters to Juliet." Even though the line to see Juliete's courtyard was 4-5 blocks long, Maria had a secret "Skip the Line"!!!. At the end of the tour, she took us to the restaurant in the movie "Letters to Juliet," and we made lunch reservations. It was an amazing tour, and Maria was a wonderful hostess to Verona.
A very interesting tour which provided information on the history of the arena and locations of Romeo and Juliet. The guide was very passionate and gave a complete story of the famous lovers. The locations were also great - the only downside was we didn’t get as much time at Juliet’s house. However her statue and balcony were beautiful and it was incredible to see them in real life.
I booked this tour based on the Romeo and Juliet story but was disappointed. Firstly, on the night before, we were asked to combine with another tour which was apparently “actually an upgrade”. When we arrived at the meeting point the guide was late which caused some concerns for our family and the other family making up the group. Although our guide was passionate about Verona and knew his history, his presentation style was a bit hard to follow at times. I was disappointed not to learn more about the actual Romeo & Juliet story.
Loved loved loved this little tour. Our guide was so relatable (to 3 teenagers) and informative and made us laugh. She was fantastic and we really enjoyed the “tour”. Thank you for making a hot Verona day enjoyable!
Wonderful personal experience Francisco was amazing and taught us a lot ! Great experience recommend
Maria Pia was the most wonderful guide for a 3 hour tour of Verona finishing with Juliet’s house and balcony. Her knowledge of the subject was fantastic and she delivers her stories with such character and love. It was very hot but Maria made sure we had plenty of shady diversions to cool down plus water stops. I would 100% recommend Maria Pia …. You won’t be disappointed.
We had an amazing time on this tour, in large part to our fabulous tour guide, Maria Pia. Her bubbly energy was infectious and we learned a great deal about Verona through her magnificent story telling. It was an extremely hot day in Verona but Maira Pia got all of us water and tried to get us to the shade as much as possible. We thoroughly enjoyed this experience and would highly recommend!
The way our guide told the story with so much detail and excitement. To be in the place where this event actually happened.
Fantastic experience! Great tour of romance! Our guide, Maria Pia, was fantastic! We would like to recommend her with all our hearts!
We had so much fun on this tour learning about Juliet in Verona! Maria Pía was a wonderful guide and a very engaging story teller.
Awful the tour guide cancelled on us!!! Horrible I heard these people were good but who cancels a tour on you during a vacation overseas.!
Maria was an excellent guide with so much knowledge of the architectural history of Verona and Romeo & Juliet’s story! We are still in awe that theirs is a true story!
This tour was amazing. There was a little bit of moving around with changing our time due to numbers being too high on the tour but I am so glad I agreed to change to a later time as it was just me and my fiancé with an amazing tour guide, Francesco which became like our own private little tour of Verona. Even with just the two of us booked at that time Francesco still went ahead with everything and even threw in a few detours with extra facts and history of Verona. All in all we have a fantastic time and would highly recommend. Francesco was funny, very friendly and very knowledgeable of Verona.
Francesco was an amazing tour guide. With a perfect English, very nice and with a very accurate knowledge about Verona. I fully recommend this experience. Verona is a beautiful city and everywhere you go you can find beauty in every corner of the city.
Maria is such a fantastic guide. Maria made sure all attending the tour had chance to ask questions, and very professionally adjusted the presenting to suit us. Thank you Maria for wonderfully vivid and entertaining experience.
I had Maria for this tour, and it was everything I wished it would be and more. It’s been a dream of mine to come to Verona and see the famous Romeo and Juliet balcony. Maria just made it all the more enjoyable. She answered any questions I had, she’s super polite and knowledgeable. If I were to ever bring a family member or a friend on this tour, I definitely would want it to be with Maria.
María our tour guide was magnificent. Polite and informative and very passionate about the story. Totally gorgeous I would 100% recommend it to anyone.
Maria was a wonderful host. She was so engaging and a amazing story teller. She did a great job giving us the whole story.
Maria was very informative- loved the history. Great story teller. The tour only takes an hour as the main attractions are very close to each other
We thought that it was a really great tour. Our tour guide had a lot of passion and she was really fun. You could tell that she knew her stuff and took pride in showing us Verona. The tour consisted of sightseeing related to the letters to Juliet movie, history of Verona, the story of Romeo and Juliet and the related to sites in the city. Overall, it was a great introduction to the city. Mature was great in terms of piercing in length. We also only had one other person in our group, so the overall group size was just three people and one Tour Guide.
From the time of booking Marie was so helpful, she sent us parking and restaurant options. As a guide she was wonderful, she bought history to life, her enthusiasm was catching, she made our trip to Verona truly memorable.
Amazing! 10/10 would recommend. We were led around Verona by Maria, who taught us all about the history, architecture and stories of the arena, the buildings in Verona and of course, Romeo and Juliet. Maria was an incredible storyteller and a fountain of knowledge, she answered any questions we had and taught us so much that we hadn't heard about before. Such a fantastic tour- it actually ran over the hour a little and we didn't even notice! I can't recommend you book this enough! We learnt so much and enjoyed ourselves so much more than we would have if we hadn't picked this tour.
The guide was so a nice lady, she tells with a lot of passion about the story but also about the building and the city Love it
Our tour guide was amazing! Maria was funny, passionate, and informative. She's also very kind and made sure our group was well-hydrated because it was such a hot day. I teach Romeo & Juliet and I loved hearing the real story behind the famous play. So much more information I can now pass on to my students!
My niece and I had the most fabulous tour with Maria Pia in Verona! Maria is an incredible storyteller and really brings the history alive. She is very knowledgeable and engaging - we remember more facts from this tour than many others we went on in Europe! Maria went above and beyond to cover all of my niece's interests and questions relating to Romeo and Juliet, which she is studying at school at the moment. Maria also generously gave up her time the day after our tour to go back to one of the sights we visited to take a photo we forgot to take. Maria is truly extraordinary and we cannot thank or praise her highly enough. Thank you Maria!
Absolutely fantastic tour! Maria is a wonderful tour guide - incredibly knowledgeable and authentic. My children loved hearing about the history of Verona and the story of Romeo and Juliet.
Great tour, informative about the city and the Romeo and Juliet story. Not a lot of walking so good if you don’t want to do miles would definitely recommend
Maria was wonderful. She was well knowledged and she made the tour extremely interesting. It was a pleasure spending the time together with her. She helped make my time in Verona extra special!!
We highly recommend this tour if you have a love for the movie “Letters to Juliet” and discovering more about Romeo and Juliet! Our guide, Maria, made the tour so personal with her passion, enthusiasm and knowledge! Brava!
This was such an insightful and refreshing tour of Verona city center. Our tour guide was a great story teller: he was able to give just the right amount of history without getting boring, enough walking around to keep us engaged, and enough comedy to keep it light hearted. Obviously the city center can get very crowded, so our tour guide did his best in navigating us away from the crowds. He also let us know all the great restaurants to eat and where to get the best gelato. I would recommend this tour for anyone who wants a different spin on the story of Romeo and Juliet.
Our guide Francesco was fantastic and tailored the tour to meet our needs. We were on a flying day trip to Verona and got to see some of its beautiful sites and highlights. Francesco was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and put us at ease immediately. He involved us in the tour encouraging us to ask and answer questions and get involved in making connections. The Romeo and Juliet highlights were amazing, Verona really is the city of Love.
Our tour guide Maria was amazing! She is very kind and enthusiastic to share her knowledge. I’d strongly suggest the tour!
Guide was a No Show at MY sched time, no working phone to get msg & they’re refusing refund! Very angry! I have video proof showing I WAS there!
Who would have thought that we would be able to overcome cold winter rain and being on a wrong bus but end up having a wonderful in Verona? Our tour guide Maria made it possible. She gave us a warm welcome and I can say that she is an amazing storyteller that made buildings come to life. We could visualize what happened hundreds of years ago right there in the Market Square and on the streets of Verona. Highly recommended!
Great tour, Maria was very knowledgeable and friendly, would definitely recommend to anyone. Love Amy and Rachael
Very informative and kind, I thought the tour was through the house as well but was not. Luckily enough the house was only $6 each
Maria was an excellent guide! We only had a few hours in Verona and feel she gave us a good overview of the history and points of interest. She made the history come alive with stories of historical characters that lived centuries before.
Knowledgeable and personable expert! Thank you for a wonderful experience and sweet gesture. Recommend this guide
Maria provided a fantastic overview of the history of Verona leading up to the time of Romeo and Juliet. She included an architectural primer also. Tour was much more interesting than I anticipated. Definitely worthwhile.
