We had a wonderful day visiting Sirmione and a local vineyard Dolce Vita. We were lucky to get Anna as our guide again, she is so kind and knowledgeable. We’ve booked a number of trips through Viator and all have been excellent and good value for money.

Very nice 1/2 day tour to Sirmione and Amarone. We had a really fun boat ride around Sirmione with a brief stop in the town to look around. Then travelled in air conditioned mini van to Amarone where we visited a winery with wine tastings and a light lunch included. Our guide Andre was super nice, very informative, and very friendly. We highly recommend this tour . Andrew & Jenny
We started the day driving with Anna to Sirmione - an old town on a peninsular overlooking lake Garda - fabulous location! Can get very crowded later in the day. Then a boat trip around the peninsula taking in views of the lake and the old buildings (and thermal bubbles rising from the lake) before returning back to the town. Finally the highlight for us - a visit to Dolce Vera vineyard for a wonderful wine tasting and discussion over lunch with Marco the young and enthusiastic owner. The views and wine are incredible. We loved every minute. Anna is a gracious host and careful driver - very pleasant company.
Great English speaking guide who has good wine expertise. Small boat cruise was funf and perfect length. The winery is beautiful and the family member guide spent a couple of delightful hours with us. Well worth the price.
From Venice we decided to plan a fabulous day trip to wine country, and a boat trip to Lake Garda in Verona! Pagus Wine Tours was wonderful. It was easy to find in Verona, then we were driven to Sirimone for a fun boat trip on Lake Garda, then a wine tour at a family owned and run winery, Azienda Agricola Fugolo Ggianluca! One of the sister owners, Sofia was so knowledgeable and generous with our wine tastings, cheese and meat board, and lunch in their beautiful outdoor patio area. I would highly recommend!
Roberto was the best host! Knowledgeable, personable & we really lived this tour with him. The boat tour with opera arias was memorable, but what really made this a wonderful trip was the Fugolo sisters, Sofia & Michaela at their winery. The best tour we have had. The sisters are so passionate about their winery & the service, food & wine were superlative.
This is the 4th time we have booked a tour through Pagus. This time we did both the Sirmione Lake and Lugana wines tour as well as the Trento DOC and Teroldego tours. Roberto was our guide for the Sirmione tour. He was very knowledgable and provided a great tour. Anna Was our guide for The Trento tour--we were thrilled as she was our guide in 2023! We have done 4 tours through Pagus and have never been disappointed. We love visiting the family owned vineyards and they always choose wonderful places to dine on the tours as well. While the amarone and Valpolicella wines are still our favorite, we have completely enjoyed being introduced to the other wonderful wines from the Verona and Lake Garda area!
Really great, relaxed day exploring Valpolicella and Lage Garda. Jay, our guide was excellent. Unexpectedly we had the tour to ourselves !. Two great wineries, a very personalised experience with no rushing at any stage and a great lunch in the sunshine at Lake Garda ! Only downside was the lack of air conditioning in the mini van on a sweltering day.
Had a wonderful experience touring the area outside Verona. Our guide Elizabeth was very knowledgeable and we really enjoyed our time with her. The wineries selected were excellent representation of the the region and we had a great time at each tasting. Beautiful scenery and an overall relaxing day.
Very welcoming, informative and excellently hosted throughout. Relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable day.
The visit was really great and personalized with a nice guide competent and providing a lot of information. The 2 vineyards were well chosen and different with interesting comparative tasting. The lunch was also very good on well located restaurant.
we visit a couple of winers and we had a nice lunch and leasure time in Bardolino. the second winery was just amazing with a really good explenation and really top wines.
Everything was very nice. Good driver and nice wine. Fine trip to Lake Garda With a nice and good lunch.
My wife and I had a great time on this wine tour. Our guide was impressive with knowledge of the area and wines, and both wineries had excellent selections. Add in lunch in lake Garda area and it added up to an excellent day. Highly recommended.
Fabulous day touring with Ilaria, amazing knowledge of wine and the region, fabulously accomodating! Highly recommended
Illaria was a knowledgeable and fun guide. The day was rainy but the tour was interesting and the wine delicious. Despite the rain, we had a lovely lunch at a lakeside restaurant.
Our tour was sold out, but we got a quick reply on mail, and a extra tour was put up just to accommodate us. Well worth it, time flies, and you leave with more knowledge and something to remember. Laura was the perfect guide.
I went on this tour with two of my friends, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. From beginning to end it was well organized and worth every euro. The day began at 9am with pick up by Castelvecchio by the very pleasant and knowledgeable Martina. On our drive to our first stop she gave us a short introduction to the two wine areas we would be in, Valpolicella and Bardolino, in fact throughout the day Martina was full of information for us, an excellent guide. The first winery was Cesari, where they have clearly put a lot of effort into the educational part of the tour. Outside we were shown the different types of vines in use, then inside we were shown the cellars and the bottling while the whole process was expertly explained to us. Cesari is a large wine producer and grows grapes in Valpolicella, Bardolino and Lugana, and we tried wines from all three areas. They were all excellent, and I definitely had to exercise some constraint in their shop after the tasting. The day was broken up with lunch in Bardolino on the shore of Lake Garda. We had some time to walk around and then lunch at La Loggia Rambaldi, good food and more great wine. Then on to our last stop of the day, Coali, a small family run winery in Valpolicella. One of the owners Marina showed us around, her enthusiasm and knowledge made it a very memorable visit, made even better by the wines we then got to taste. We tried 5 different wines, the highlights for me being the fantastic Ripasso and a very flavorful Recioto, as well as an excellent Amarone. The whole day was brilliant from beginning to end, I am already looking at wines in a completely different way and would love to come back and go on some more wine tours with Pagus. I definitely recommend this to anyone who who is looking for a day out in the area, they have so many choices there is something for everyone and it’s more than worth the cost.
My wife and I cannot say enough great things about our day with Lara. He passion for wine and the region shines through. We were lucky enough to only have us on the bus for the day. We truly enjoyed both of the small wineries that we visited. It never ceases to amaze me the hard work and character that it takes to run a vineyard. We were blessed to have some additional time to visit San Giorgio with it's amazing Vista. We would gladly do this your again.
It started off a bit shaky when 9am came and on-one was at our hotel. The hotel informed us that they had received a telephone call saying there had been a delay and they were on their way. Apparently an accident caused traffic, these things happen. It didn't affect my 5 stars. The went very well. A comfortable air conditioned mini-bus for the 3 of us, we had booked a private tour, took us to our first vineyard in the Bardolino region. A family vineyard run now by 2 sisters, one of which gave us a really interesting tour around and talk about the premises and wine production. We then had a really good tasing of their wines. Her enthusiasm was infectious and really wonderful to see. Then we went to Bardolino itself, a town on Lake Garda. We had a little walk around and then lunch in a very nice restaurant near to the Lake. A little more time to walk around after lunch, we didn't have dessert or coffee, and then back to the mini bus and off to Valpolicella. The second vineyard, more enthusiasm from the lady member of the family who runs this place. A lovely little cabin in which to taste the wines and a great tasting it was. Amarone has been a favourite of mine for a while and since this visit I am going to be even more discerning on which I drink having learnt about them much more. We then popped into St Giorgio where we had a walk up to the top for a view over the Valpolicella region before getting back to the minibus and back to the hotel. It was a throughly enjoyable day out, great to see the surroundings, the vineyards and Lake Garda. It was as good as I had hoped and I would recommend it as a great day out.
We headed first to Bardolino by Lake Garda. During the drive our guide, Laura, told us about wine production and the four different types of Valpolicella wines. This was useful information, and new to us. In Bardolino we had an hour to spend on our own. It was more than enough, really nothing to do, but to get a glimpse of Lake Garda and the very touristic town of Bardolino. Glad that we had chosen Verona as our base for the week's trip instead of Lake Garda. Then we were off to Masi vineyards, and got a tour of the premises. Probably the best winery tour that we've been to; the multimedia part even had smells! This was followed by a lunch in the Masi restaurant. Another positive surprise. All too often tours with lunch don't serve very good food, but this was an exception, excellent meal. And four wines, if memory serves me right -- not just tasting, but really wine to go with the food. We finished the Masi part by exploring their shop, would have bought more if our suitcases had accommodated it. Then Laura drove the content and drowzy clients to a second winery, this time a small, family-owned one. A very friendly hostess: the owner of the place. We tasted six different wines, gradually improving -- don't know if it was us or the wine. :) A nice contrast to the industrial wine making at Masi. The tour was finished in a fairly quiet and happy van driven back to Verona. The tour is not cheap, but well worth the cost. I have just one suggestion to the company. I know that it arranges both private tours and group tours, and ours was a group tour. Nevertheless, since we two were the only persons on the tour, it would have been a nice touch if we had been dropped to our hotel on the main street, instead of the standard point opposite to Castelvecchio. One extra kilometer for the van would have been insignificant, but would have been the icing on the cake for us.
Fantastic experience! Getting to know beautiful wines and beautiful people. Barbara was the perfect hostess for this tour. We enjoyed.
Good tour, Sofia with helpers was excellent as a guide, made the tour unforgettable. One got more knowledge about the Valpolicella area and its winemaking.Stop at Lake Garda with food, good to order optionally from the menu.
We were a party of six who had a very nice day. Very good service at the vineyards and restaurant. Our guide Sofia was superb, easy to understand, nice and not least very knowledgeable.
