We had such a fun time with Matteo. He is very knowledgeable about the food served in Bologna. There was plenty of food and we had a really fun group. Highly recommend.

Walk the streets of beautiful Verona while hearing about historic locations, and sampling delicious local cuisine with excellent wine pairings! The addition of the Funicular ride and stunning sunset views, high above the city made for magical experience.
Tons of food. Don’t eat breakfast before you go. We had a great selection of local foods, wine, pastries, and gelato. We saw archaeological sites that we would’ve never known about that we’re in the basement of stores.
Today we explored Verona through its food and history with our sweet guide, Aurora. From little local bites and wine to the beautiful stories tucked around every corner, she made the city come alive for us. Such a fun—and delicious—way to experience Verona! 🇮🇹🍷🍝
Good tour, food and drink was great but it would have been nice to have a bit more of the history of the city.
This tour is full on and is perfect for finding out about the beautiful city of Verona. Our guide Aurora was enthusiastic, kind friendly and very knowledgeable.
Only six of us on the tour! Aurora was a delightful and very knowledgeable tour guide. The pace was leisurely but we covered a lot of ground in three hours. We tried a variety of foods and drink: coffee, wine at two venues, gelato and the Italian version of tapas. Two thumbs up!
Great experience. Very informative Our guide, Aurora, was superb. Great knowledge and very good English. We had a lovely time with good food and lovely wines. Lovely way to get to know Verona. Thoroughly recommended.
Had a wonderful time tasting local foods and wines! Our guide was very knowledgeable and fun to be with.
Tour hits some solid places(Risin is great!) I learned a bit about some old stuff-got a ticket to ride the funicular(didn’t actually do it as part of the tour), cool little wine tasting and some perfectly timed gelati(was really hot!) tour guide was very good. Recommend!
Aurora was a fantastic host for this experience. It is super hot in Verona today, 35c and humid but she kept us informed, engaged, in the shade (mostly) and fed and watered at some of the best local food and beverage locations in the city. I type this from the bar at the top of the funicular leading to Castel s. Pietro. Thank you Aurora!
Laura was an excellent guide and I thoroughly enjoyed the informative tour through the old city of Verona. She stopped at some excellent spots away from the crowds and we had a wonderful wine tasting at the end followed by the best gelato I’d sampled!
Enjoyable 2.5 hour tour with Aurora. Some nice insights into tourist hotpots in Verona that you’ve probably already seen in walking through. Food and wine choices are very good. I won’t spoil it, but they are all excellent choices. You get a lot for your money from this tour when you realise how many stops you’ve made. Good fun!
A fun and informative tour with great food and wine. Aurora is a fantastic guide who is knowledgeable and considerate.
We arranged a private tour with Virginia….. we did a 2 hour walking tour of Verona and then a fantastic drive into the Valpolicella region for a wonderful lunch and wine tasting at a private winery. Every part of the winery’s offerings from bread, cheese, olive oil, entree to wine were all fabulous. The experience was exceptional and enjoyed by the group. I highly recommend booking through them… thank you Virginia for a memorable day!!!
Aurora was an amazing guide . Very knowledgeable and friendly . We learnt so much about Verona thanks to her
Great guide, spoke great English - good choice of cafes and restaurants - very knowledgeable and answered all our questions
Every time I arrive to a new city, first thing I do is book a food tour. I had one in Aruba, Thailand, Mexico City, Venice, Milan and Verona. And the one in Verona was the worst by far. It is grossly misleading and misrepresentative. I would call it History tour of Verona with snacks not food tour. If I wanted history tour of Verona, I would have booked one for 40$. And when I book a food tour I expect food to be the main aspect of it! The guide of the tour Aurora was very sweet, knowledgeable, friendly and personable but the food part of the tour was absolutely atrocious. You get rice pastry, focaccia, two red wine tastings with cheese and salami, THERE WAS NO SIT DOWN DINNER AT TRATTORIA instead we stopped by at some fast food pasta place where they served overcooked ravioli and then there was gelato stop. There was one review where an older gentlemen addresses same concerns saying that after paying 130$ he left hungry, to which instead of apologizing to him and thanking him for his feedback he was scolded with very snarky remarks saying:" this is not an all you can eat buffet! What are you nuts expecting a full meal for 130$!" This tour felt like a tourist trap and a sham. Again, nothing to do with the guide but with whoever put it together. I didn't feel like those food selections were representative of the region. I went to a bunch of restaurants and asked for local cuisine recommendations and they were amazing! So, you decide if this nonsense is worth your hard earned 130$ in this economy.
A brilliant way to experience the food, wine and history of Verona. Our guide Diana was amazing and we covered so much ground despite it being 31 degrees. A really fun experience which is a must if you visit Verona.
We really enjoyed our tour with Aurora. She was very friendly and spoke English very well. There were 6 of us, so it was a nice small group, which we enjoyed talking with. She took us around the city and showed us some spots that you would not see as a normal tourist. I enjoyed talking with Aurora as we walked and learning more about the culture. Our food stops included coffee and a pastry unique to Verona, a candy shop where we got a free sample, lunch which included a choice of two pastas with wine, a wine shop with a local wine tasting, cheese, and meat, and lastly Gelato. The wine tasting presentation was very interesting! We ended the tour by taking the funicular to the top of the city, where we had the most amazing views.
I was initially booked to do the tour a different day but it was cancelled due to the weather. Fair enough, no one really wants to walk around in the pouring rain, but I didn't get told it had been cancelled. Viator actually sent the usual reminder about the start time etc. The info on Viator also sends you to the wrong meeting location - just on the adjacent corner, but wrong enough for you to miss it! Having stood waiting for over 20mins, I messaged the activity provider on the number provided. They confirmed I was in the wrong place and gave me another number for the guide. The guide was very lovely and helpful, informed me the tour was cancelled and offered me a spot that afternoon or the next morning. She was very apologetic about the mix up and suggested the notification fault was with Viator's system. I joined the next morning with Aurora. She's also very lovely, but perhaps lacking in confidence a little as there were several times we were just stood there waiting for her to say something else or move us on. Luckily, it was quite a chatty group which helped to keep up the momentum. The walking route is ok, but could probably cover a wider area in the time. Aurora's knowledge of the area is good and she gave interesting explanations of the history. It was also useful to be able to save the funicular ticket for another day. Although, it's worth noting the ticket is only €2 to buy yourself and shouldn't really be a "selling point" in the tour description. The food stops were all pretty tasty - especially the lunch and wine tasting - but I think it's less generous than tours I've done in other European cities. Overall, a nice introduction to Verona with some tasty food, but a little lacking for the price point. I would recommend shopping around a bit to see if there are more reasonably priced options.
This was a fun and interesting tour. Our guide, Aurora, was awesome! She was very knowledgeable about the history and the entire area. She gave us a fantastic food and wine experience in such cute places. And you know Aurora was fantastic because it was pouring rain and we still had a great time walking all over the city!
First stop a local lemon rice cake , which was nice, next stop focaccia bread, not the best, lunch then, three choices of average pasta and a small glass of wine, then wine tasting, two tiny glasses of red, but a nice board of cheese and meat Ice cream next, lovely! Here we were left by our host( who was very nice, and showed us some of the sights) at the venicular with a single ticket to go up- I’m 70yrs old and found coming down the steps very tricky to say the least. I have been on many food tours, Best was in Rome, where every food sample in the shops was a delight, and the worst?Barbados by a mile 😂 This tour I would place somewhere in between, we passed a fantastic out door market selling incredible meats and cheese, a stop and a few bits there would have been good. 2 small reds for a wine tasting is just not good enough, especially when there are some excellent whites too. Make the stops a little more exiting, more wine in the tasting, and a return on the tram, those are my recommendations
Had a great tour with Aurora. She's super friendly, knows her city well, and took us to some enjoyable foodie stops. Had a scheduling hiccup and had a very easy time working with the tour operator (Romeo and Juliet) to resolve. Highly recommend these folks for enhancing your visit to Verona!
Aurora was excellent and we had a wonderful time on our tour. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Verona.
Wonderful food and wine selections! Aurora was very nice. The history part was good, but guide could have used a microphone. I would recommend this tour.
The food tour was great! The guide was very passionate and knowledgable and we have learnt many facts on the history of Verona and the Italian culture and cuisine, like locals! We tried some local delicacies at local historic shops while walking around the city, then we had an amazing lunch with a traditional pasta dish before moving onto the wine tasting. And, lastly, the tour ended with a great gelato! Experience recommended!
Great, leisurely walking tour all around the city of Verona, with delicious food stops along the way. Aurora (spelling?) was a pleasant guide. Between food stops, she pointed out several significant city sites, providing historical details. We also received plenty of food/restaurant recommendations for us to try during our two-week stay in Verona.
Wonderful tour with great food and wine. Highlights of the history of Verona. Very small amount of people was great. Only thing people need to be aware of is that the funicular ticket takes you only up but we had to pay to come down and out. Our tour guide was great - Aurora.
This was a lovely walk through Verona. Aurora was knowledgeable and shared historical facts throughout. She allowed ample time for photos and was happy to take some group shots. The stops for food/wine were delicious, allowing us to sample many local specialties. Aurora was a fantastic guide and we enjoyed her company immensely. A new Italian friend! One tip would be not to eat before this tour. You will walk away full!
Interesting tour learning about Verona and trying the local cuisine! Group was fun and tour guide was informative!
We had a wonderful time eating and drinking our way thru Verona with a fun, informative guide. All of the food and wine stops were very good. This included a luncheon that was so good, we went back for more the following day, If you can, don’t miss o
Our tour was wonderful! It was the perfect length of time and our guide was very knowledgable about the area and picked great little food and wine spots.
Our tour guide Sara was really friendly, relaxed and knowledgable. Plenty of stops with delicious food & wine and a great way to get orientated around the centre of Verona.
Great overview of the city with stops for food and wine. Even after being in Verona for a couple of days, we found new places thanks to Diana. The food was great and the stories were fun.
Such a wonderful day! Our guide, Diana, was amazing. Food stops were local and it was a great way to see the city.
This was so fun!!! Walking around Verona with a guide makes you fall in love with the city. Diana has such a passion for food and wine that it just adds to the beauty you are surrounded by.
This is a wonderful “must do tour” in Verona. Perfect combination of visiting sites and sampling regional food and wine. Virginia is a very experienced English speaking local guide with comprehensive knowledge of history, food and wine. Very nice lady too. We enjoyed meeting 2 ladies who were also part of the tour group. Very enjoyable.
Food and wine were delicious. Our guide shared many local places to see and do extra things in this beautiful city.
Great walking and food/wine tour! Sarah was wonderful and very knowledgeable! A must do Verona tour!
This is a wonderful experience if you are visiting Verona for the first time. Sara, our guide gave us a run down of the beautiful city of Verona with stops at nice restaurants/shops for a taste of the local cuisine of the city. Enjoyed the knowledge gained regarding the wines of the region.
We had a fantastic tour in Verona. Great food, great information! We've done a lot of food tours internationally and this was one of the better ones! Some are solely focused on the food but our guide here provided information about the town and its history as well, which we loved. Great combination! We were traveling with small kids and a candy shop was added to appease our son.
It was a good tour and we really enjoyed our host. It was a small and intimate group, filled with interesting facts. The food was a little small and I felt that the price was a little steep for what we got.
Jacopo was an amazing guide. Friendly, funny, and so knowledgeable This tour was the best part of our trip. We were so impressed with all the details, great food, and sights He made our trip so memorable! Highly recommended!
Great way to get an overview of Verona from a fantastic guide who knows and loves Verona! Highly recommend. Jacapo was exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly and gave us great recommendations for dinner.
Jacopo was an excellent host, super friendly and knowledge as he grew up in Verona, we enjoyed the local stories behind the places and the delicious food and wine, definitely recommend this tour!
Great experience! Jacobo was super knowledgeable and had the cutest and coolest spots for us to go to. Food was amazing, wine sommelier Alessandra was fantastic. Then the end with cable car was great.
We had a great walking tour of Verona with lovely food, drink, and a tour of the back streets and alleyways of Verona. Giacamo was good fun, knowledgeable and informative.
Paco was super cool and knowledgeable! We ended up with a private tour because we were the only ones that day. The weather was beautiful, all of the food spots Paco took us to were fantastic, the wine tasting was awesome, and all of the sights were impressive. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone going to Verona for the day!
What a great afternoon this was! Our tour guide, Paco, was interesting, well informed & fun too! What a wonderful way to explore Verona for our first visit. Core memory.
