Carlo was a great guide. He was very informative and knowledgeable about the local history of Verona through the ages and never rushed us. Very relaxing and fun tour that included food and great wine.

Itinerary
Our first stop will be in the Castelvecchio area, at a local delicatessen to sample a selection of cured hams, cheeses and vegetable patès from Sicily.
After a short walk through the picturesque streets of Verona, we will stop at the oil mill Redoro shop. Lake Garda keeps the climate perfect to grow olives, so enjoy a bruschetta with this liquid gold and 2 patès.
Verona is famous for its Valpolicella wines where Corte Saibante winery is located. They produce less than 10.000 bottles per year keeping a high quality. We will stop by their tasting room near the Arena where a sommelier will explain and serve 2 tastings of Valpolicella
We will pass by Piazza Erbe to stop at the family shop that produces and sells Pandoro, Verona most famous cake. Come hungry and ready to explore the flavors of Verona!
The tour won't stop to Juliet's House but we will pass nearby. The house was used as an hotel in the Dickens times.

Our tour guide (if I remember correctly his name is Carlo!) was absolutely amazing!! He helped us gain more of an understanding of not only the beautiful architecture but also the amazing food of Verona! He gave us insight of the history as we walked through the streets. He introduced us to one of the many delicious sweets and savory food in Verona! While also giving us the history and fun facts of each food we tried! My husband and I absolutely recommend booking from him just by how outstanding he was! 10/10 experience and next time we’re back we will be doing this again! Thank you Carlo!!!
Jacopo was very knowledgable and friendly and we had a great time. We were a family of 4 with a 22 year old and 14 year old. Learnt lots about the history of Verona. Would highly recommend this tour
Our guide Jacopo was very informative and fun. We had a great time and the food and wine were very good
This was a wonderful way to experience Verona and our guide was knowledgable and friendly. I particularly enjoyed learning about olive oil, and all the local specialities.
Manuela was a wonderful guide who shared insights about Verona and its food culture. We visited small shops with food/drink/sweets specific to Verona and the region. We especially appreciated that even though the tour did not fill up ( only the two of us + Manuela), he did not cancel for whatever reason, as so often happens. We highly recommend the tour. Very much worth it.
Terrific venue Food and wine tasting were great Giulia, the guide, was very knowledgeable of local history foods and traditions Highly recommended!
Our guide, Leonardo was fantastic! It was only my wife and me on the tour but that didn’t throw him. Leonardo was very knowledgable about Verona and the food and wine from the area. While there were not as many tastings as other tours we’ve taken, we learned a lot about the items and how they fit into Verona’s food history. The walk around town was also very informative. We really felt coming away from the tour that we certainly got our money’s worth and spent a few very pleasant hours learning about Verona.
The tour was excellent! Our guides, Ricardo & Diana, were very knowledgeable and fun! it was a nice, relaxed pace, tasty food. They also recommended other places to check out.
This was not as good as other food walks I've taken in other cities, but it was fun. Our first stop, an olive oil tasting on bruschetta, was not informative at all, but the oils were interesting and different. The candy stop was an intense rapid overload of sugar with hardly any information. Our cake stop wasn't a stop, it was a pick-up and eat in the street, again, with no information. Our final stop we actually learned a bit about the two wines, but nothing more about the meats and cheeses than their straightforward descriptions. As we walked through Verona our guide pointed out a few historical points of interest. While we had a very good time with our guide and the other guests, the food choices didn't thrill us.
The tour was tasty and informative. Our guide Leonardo was passionate about the food we tried and very knowledgeable about the wine too. We were not rushed and enjoyed the experience
Disappointed by an underwhelming tour. I've been on a few food tours in Italy, they are usually filled with interesting stories and inspiring food. Our guy was lovely but spoke quickly and didn't make it a memorable experience, no fun stories to make Verona or the food come alive. We basically had some toast with olive oil, a few sweets, a cake, and some wine and unremarkable cheese and salami. I was underwhelmed.
Carlo was a wonderful guide and so knowledgeable about the history and culture of Verona and it's good. We learnt so much and enjoyed being introduced to stores and foods we otherwise would not have tried without his guidance. Unfortunately they were not able to cater well for my friend who has coeliac when it came to food, which was absolutely not the fault of the host who tried his best to adjust the experience. Would recommend for anyone interested in Verona culture, food, wine and history but would caution for those who are gluten intolerant or allergic/coeliac.
Don't eat before you go. Fantastic food and lovely wine. Loved our guide and we had a lovely group of people.
Loved the tour. Leonardo was great🤘 by guiding us through Verona and showing us cosy places. Enjoyed the food and wine.
Firstly, Leonardo was a lovely guy, great host and spoke excellent English. However, I wasn’t impressed with the tour overall. If you know nothing about food, you might be introduced to things you haven’t tried but as my wife and I are self-proclaimed ‘foodies,’ we didn’t really experience anything unusual or new; it was very basic. To be taken to a cake shop to try a local rice cake and be presented with a bill for a bottle of accompanying water was a bit of a cheek really, given the cost of the tour. The best bit was the wine tasting. The sommelier was very friendly and knowledgeable and helped my kids to understand the wine-making process with visuals, but again the meat and cheese ‘platter’ left a lot to be desired.
Our guide, Giovani, was enthusiastic and friendly. He made the tour very fun and enjoyable. He was able to give a lot of historical context as we walked from place to place during the tour, which really elevated the experience.
Food tour was great. Leo was so nice and very informative. Bruschetta with various olive oils, tasty, chocolates? Whow!! Coffee and cake, delightful! Wine cheese and meats with lovely vegetarian option, perfect end. Thoroughly enjoyable not to be missed.
Anyone and everyone interested in local foods should go on this tour! Leo put together a great - and delicious - walk through Verona. He also included history as we walked by sites.
Nice combination of historical tour and food from the region. Was a lot of walking with limited ability to sit during tour which was a little difficult for my father’s age. Food was excellent and Lorenzo was knowledgeable about the area! Wine tasting at the end with limited tasting.
Leonardo took us around Verona’s historical sites and we made stops at a cafe for a quick pastry and espresso, bruschetta, chocolate store, and a gastronomy and restaurant. Very friendly and easy going. Don’t eat a heavy breakfast and come with an appetite.
We had a great time. Just 6 of us together with Leo showing us some of the sights and sharing his knowledge of Verona, it's history and it's food and wine legacy. My only criticism is that I wish we hadn't eaten a breakfast before starting!! We ate so much - delicious bread with various oils, pastries and beautifully presented desserts, coffee, wine, cured meat, cheeses, pickled vegetables. What a feast. We barely needed to eat anything else for the rest of the day :-) A lovely start to our short break in Verona.
Amazing trip with a very knowledgeable and informative guide. Staff were friendly. Parmesan was high grade delicious
Great quick food tour and guide as very knowledgable and food was good! He helped with taxi back to train station as well
One of the more awkward 2 hours of my life. It was a spur of the moment decision to book the tour and turns out we were the only people on it. Just us and Leonardo. And Irena who was training. This should have been our sign. We had a dry piece of toast at the first stop with various olive oils that our guide knew nothing about. We choked it down while they intently watched us eat. On to the chocolate shop, more watching us try things our guide had little knowledge or information about and lots of weird pauses where I was obviously supposed to buy something (and I did, just to get out of the store). Paid for my own water at the next pastry shop while we ate a desiccated something. Lastly we went to a wine place and had three slices of ham, 1/4 cup of olives and two thimbles of wine. There was very little enthusiasm or knowledge about the area or what we were consuming. I felt as though I was interviewing them for a job they didn't really want. At one point we asked them to just start making up stuff, we'd believe them! And then we tipped them. I have no idea why.
The guide Leonado was a nice person, but the tour was a wast of time for us. This happened: First place buschetta with olive oil however no wine or water. Second place: A chocolade shop where we had 5-6 different kind of chocolade, but nothing to drink. Then a bakery with 2 cakes and water. Finnally "dinner" which was sliced sausage and chease + 1 soave white and 1 red - both 0,1 l. Then the tour was finished. There was not much information from the guide. We were only 5 pax in the tour.
Excellent experience in meeting shop owners and tasting delicious food! Leonardo was an exceptional guide.
This was a fantastic tour; we would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in seeing some hidden gems of Verona!
First, our guide was only eclipsed by the amazing city. He was absolutely amazing and we would suggest 10 out of 10 times. Very educated and impressive knowledgeable man. The food was great and so was the wine. The was a great way to understand Verona!!
My girlfriend and I went for a wine tasting tour. We tasted wines from Venice to Verona and loved the sneak peak of the wine cellar. Leonardo was very welcoming and easy to get along with as well as helping us with further food and destination recommendations
We really enjoyed this food tour on the 14th of October which was expertly lead by Miriam. We started with a bread & flavoured Olive oil stop, moved onto a chocolate stop, then for a local mini version milk based pizza, the famous russian hat cake next, then on to a meat, cheese and wine tasting in a local restaurant. Miriam also gave a detailed history of the city and info on all the distinctive buildings as we passed them going to our next stop. It lasted a little over two hours and was well paced. We found the food to be varied, tasty and a good amount of food for the money. We had no main lunch that day and didn't need to top up after we did this tour in the evening. We are very happy to recommend this tour.
It was December and most of the shops were so busy with other customers we seemed a bother. The second stop was a chocolate tasting which was between a stop at a bruschetta shop and an olive oil shop was a bit jointed. The cake shop was so busy we were given a little Pandoro to take away with us. The most enjoyable part of the tour was the wine, cheese, and meat tasting where we had the entire place to our selves.
This tour was great. My guide was very knowledgeable of the area and she was very accommodating, even though I was the only one who signed up for the night. Each place we visited had something local and new to offer.
We had the best tour! Great food and great information! Loved the detail and history. The hosts were gracious and welcoming! Would do this tour again,
Lorenzo was fantastic. We had a great time seeing the major sites within the old city of Genoa and getting to try some of Liguria's local cuisine. This is a great tour to schedule right as you get to Genoa so you can get a feel for the layout of the city, determine which sites you'd like to explore and, most importantly, figure out which items you'd like to get later for dinner!
Our friendly guide took us to excellent cafes and food shops we would not have ever found ourselves. The visited places were carefully picked. We enjoyed the tasty food and the tour!
There was a great range of food and locations on tour, there was even the option to drink some local wine on tour. Our tour guide Mirian was happy to answer any questions , for anyone who wants a taste of local life in Verona this is the tour for you.
Tour was great our guide was outstanding and there was plenty of food. The wine stop was out of this world. Great tasting and very educational on the regions wines. I highly recommend this tour. You will not be sorry.
Miriam was wonderful... not only did we sample some of the local cuisine, but she pointed out many historical features to us. She explained about wine in the Veneto region. Fortunately there was only one person besides myself on the tour so I had quite a bit of time to discuss Italian life with Miriam.
Excellent tour. Miriam was warm, friendly and very knowledgeable. Not only great food and wine on the tour, but Miriam stopped along the way to point out points of interest about Verona and it's history. Brilliant
Miriam was fabulous. She went above and beyond to answer all our questions and added so much extra information than just another food and wine. It was a fabulous morning.
What an experience. Walking through Verona, seeing sites and visiting the food gems of the city. We did this with kids and they loved it as well.
Such a lovely tour, a great host happy to share information and such a lovely small group. Definitely recommend to do for a trip to Verona
A pleasant trip, friendly guide, although we expected a little more out of the experience. It would have been nice if water was served during the walk around at one of the stops.
Miriam was great!!!! Really enjoyed the tour and trying the local food as well as the history as we walked around. Particular highlights were the olive oil, local Salami and Risino. A great way to spend a morning in Verona. Thank you!
I was the only one on this tour with Miriam, and I loved it. First, we tasted different types of olive oil, which I loved, then went on to taste traditional Pizette Rosa at a place that's not even on Google Maps, followed by a charcuterie tasting of local cheeses and wine, and finally some dessert. I also got a little extra beef cutlet, which was fab! The amount of food was perfect (if I hadn't had the beef cutlet, I would have needed more). Would be good to throw in a coffee spot into the mix
I was the sole participant in this tour, but it was great and made it even more enjoyable! Miriam was very sweet and had lots of interesting info to say about the city. She also took me to legitimately hidden gems you can't even find on Google Maps. LOVED IT!
The city of Verona is beautiful, the tour was interesting but the bites and drinks were not what we are used to in a foodtour.
Our guide was brilliant, knowledgeable and friendly....however the food content (if you could call a bread stop; a chocolate stop; a dry pastry stop where we had to pay for water; and a charcuterie stop with half a glass of wine) was abysmal. We've done previous food tours in Madrid, Rome, Barcelona and Nova Scotia which have been well worth the money but to be honest I want my £100 back from this one
Mairam was amazing and a wealth of Veronese and Italian history (especially classical)! She is friendly, helpful and talented. The food was great and a lot! Well worth it. Perfect amount of time to get a glimpse of the city and some of the great foods.
