What a wonderful way to see Lake Garda. Great tour with Alessandro and the lunch and gelato was amazing.

Alessandro was a very knowledgeable and entertaining guide who went out of his way to ensure the tour was enjoyable despite very thick fog! Highly recommend.
Alessandro was so knowledgeable about the area and offered so many insights and useful recommendations! We felt stress free as he was great at communication before during and after the tour. I highly recommend this tour!
Alessandro was a wonderful guide. He reached out before the tour to see what we would like to do. The day of the tour he picked us up from our hotel and then we set out to see the sights. He is extremely knowledgeable about the area. So not only did we see beautiful sights but we learned facts that we would have never known about the area. We enjoyed wine and food that was local and delicious. We saw out of the way places that tourists don’t gets to see. It was an extremely enjoyable day!
Hiring a private guide like Alessandro Bassi is by far the best way to enjoy a custom made day to the Lake Garda region. He communicated easily and promptly with us prior to the date so we could better plan the best day for our interests. We chose to stay away from the crowded areas that the group tours frequent and instead visited some of his favorite spots beginning in Verona and then by the lake. We can't recommend Alessandro enough. Our day spent with him was the highlight of our time in Verona.
Alessandro, our guide, was awesome! He was knowledgeable, personable, and asked question's to see what we may want. Our trip was fun! The food suggestions were different and excellent! A fantastic day! Please, ask for him specifically!
Of course, a tour to Lake Garda is wonderful under any circumstances but a private tour with Alessandro took this destination over the top. He took us to many unique sites and provided an entertaining and authentic explanation. Everywhere we went, the locals knew him and embraced us. If you want to tour with a guide who’s passionate about his country, this is your tour! Alessandro, we will return for another.
Our tour was wonderful, full of fabulous scenery and photo ops. Our guide, Emiliano took great care of us and couldn’t have been more gracious.
Alessandro was a fantastic guide. He adapted the itinerary to the very hot weather and to suit our interests. He also took us to some delicious places for food and drink that we would not have found ourselves and recommended plenty of other restaurants to try during the rest of our trip. Thank you!
Great day with much to see, customized to what we had seen before and our preferences. Alessandro was very pleasant, knowledgeable, punctual and flexible. Excellent driver too. Around a great day!
We had a very enjoyable day visiting Lake Garda and the village of Soave. Loved the wine tasting and visit to the family vineyard. Emiliano was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We loved our lunch too!
An amazing visit to Lake Garda, Alessandro was fantastic, so knowledgeable, kind and tailored the trip to our interests beautifully. He immersed us in his beloved Verona and it was wonderful! Would 100% recommend.
Our tour guide Alessando was very friendly and knowledgeable. While the tour itineray was somewhat fixed Alessando was flexible and we saw a few additional things that were very worthwhile. We had a wonderful day trip!
We had a wonderful tour of Lake Garda with our guide, Alessandro. He was incredibly friendly, professional, and made the entire experience unforgettable. He is a true connoisseur—his deep knowledge of the region’s history, culture, and hidden gems added so much value to our visit. He shared fascinating insights at every stop, answered all our questions with enthusiasm, and made us feel completely at ease throughout the day.
We booked a day trip to Lake Garda and the surrounding area with Alessandro on February 13 25, He was prompt to the hotel and our journey was on. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate, it was foggy and drizzly. But Alessandro did his best to keep us entertained. We stopped at several villages and took in the history of the area. We concluded our day trip with a tour of a local Winery, what a great way to finish the day. I would do another tour with Alessandro,he is knowledgeable, courtesy and helpful. Alessandro thank you for a lovely day, we enjoyed ourselves despite the weather.
The day started right on time with our host meeting us at the front entrance to our apartment building. We began by driving to the high point of Castel San Pietro to overview old Verona and identify its famous buildings, landmarks and the city layout and hear about its history starting from ancient times. From there we went to the Valpolicella wine region and to a world class winery for wine tasting and a light lunch. We then drove to a small village giving a high vantage point to view the southern region of Lake Garda. There we had an expresso sitting in the piazza with Lake Garda and the southern Italian Alps filling our view. Following that we drove to a couple of villages on the lake and enjoyed walking beside the lake in the afternoon sunshine feeling the fresh breeze coming off the mountain waters. Our host was passionate for his city, its past, its industry, and its surrounds and we enjoyed hearing the information and history he explained to us.
Alessandro was excellent. We wanted to see the lake and learn a little of its history, and we were expecting a standard tour with a couple of stops. We got much more than that. Alessandro took us on a very personal tour, stopping at unusual spots that are significant to him. His knowledge and enthusiasm made the tour much more informative, meaningful…and fun! Beautiful scenery, tasty food and drink, engaging history and culture lessons. Highly recommended!
Great tour guide and a beautiful location to visit. Isabela, was able to customize the trip for us as we were not interested in spending time doing the wine tasting.
Izabella was a very good guide and knowledgeable about the region but the vehicle was cramped and the itinerary was not as advertised.
The trip included a brilliant visit to a local vineyard where we gained a real insight into wine cultivation and processing, included the opportunity to taste several excellent wines. We reluctantly left this beautiful countryside to visit several small and picturesque towns and villages as well as the magnificent ruins of a Roman villa overlooked by the mountainous backdrop to Lake Garda. Before travelling back to our Verona hotel we sat in the sun outside a small harbourside cafe enjoying iced drinks and homemade ice cream. A fitting conclusion to a most pleasant day. Big 'thank you' to Isabella our guide for hosting this very pleasant trip.
This was our third tour with locals and have been very happy with each. Isabel\u2019s picked us up and then took us to many locations throughout the Garda Lake and Volpolicelli area. Started with a wine tasting with one of the winery owners who is 6th generation family owners. Great information in casual setting with great tasting wines.\nMoved into Garda Lake where we made various sites for lunch and scenery . Isabella was very informative and attentive to what we were interested in seeing.\nHighly recommend booking a tour with Isabella and Tour with Locals you won\u2019t be disappointed.
This was a great tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and took us to great towns along the lake. We also really enjoyed the wine tasting at a family winery. Can highly recommend this trip.
We booked this trip for $530 dollars through you the day before. That night before the guide from a company called “with locals” told us it had been cancelled. I replied asking for info and, if not happening, a refund, and got no reply. We arranged something else for the day in question. With Locals then contacted us at 0850( 10 minutes before the original planned time) the next day to say they had rescheduled. We were elsewhere and explained what happened. I have written 3-4 emails asking for a full refund with no reply to date. I will be escalating on Monday if I have not heard back satisfactorily. The service and communication throughout has been woeful. We would never book through Trip Advisor again. PLEASE RESOLVE.
We only had one full day in Verona and I am so glad we booked a private tour with Alessandro. We all felt like we got to experience the most we could and more in the day we were there! Would highly recommend!
Manuel was friendly, showing my family around the lake garda area. A truly local with great knowledge.
