Itinerary
Your experience begins in the historic center of Verona, at Teatro Ristori. Here you’ll meet your guide and join a small group (maximum 8 people) before boarding a comfortable minivan. From this point, your journey into the wines of Verona begins, exploring everything from Valpolicella to the renowned Amarone.
Your first stop is a small, family-run winery that offers an authentic and personal experience. You’ll meet the producer, discover how the wine is stored and aged, and enjoy a guided tasting of four wines. During the tasting, the winemaker will share insights into the unique characteristics and traditions behind each label.
You’ll then continue to a second winery, also family-run but with a more modern approach. Here, you’ll meet the producer and explore the different areas of the cellar before starting your tasting. The visit concludes with a guided tasting of four wines, allowing you to compare styles and deepen your understanding of the Valpolicella region.

Great story, great wine, great guide Stefano, great company on board - whole trip just GREAT!!!!
Very fun experience. We learned a lot! Stefano was a fabulous tour guide. He was very informative, professional, helpful, funny and engaging. He totally made the tour worthwhile. He had a great relationship with the small vineyards we visited, and together they gave us a great presentation. The wine was amazing!
Excellent tour. Tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Both wineries were lovely. Nice intimate setting. Only concern was pertaining to the purchase of wine. Shipping costs were not shared with us ahead of time. Terribly expensive. We should have been notified before. The economics of purchasing wine for shipment back home didn't make sense.
Stefano was an excellent tour guide. Took us 2 great wineries. I would highly recommend this tour. Very enjoyable afternoon
This small group tour visits two small family run wineries so the vibe is much more personal than a large tour going to wineries that can handle coach loads . It’s charming, you’ll learn all about the winemaking process and there’s lots of opportunity to ask questions. The minivan is clean and comfortable and our guide Emanuel very knowledgeable.
Excellent wine tasting. We visited two beautiful wineries. Aleksandra was a fabulous host. Really liked the small group and traveling by small van.
A fun and easy way to learn about and enjoy the Valpolicella area and wines! Stefano, our guide, was a blast of positivity eagerly sharing his passion for Italy and its wine heritage. Making the most of the short drive into the vineyards, he shared just enough history and information about the area to entice our curiosity (and palettes!) by the time we arrived at the first property. We visited two very different vineyards, learned all about their production, got out in the vineyard, and enjoyed several tastes with local products. Our hosts at both properties were delightful and my fellow visitors asked very interesting questions. Stefano was very generous with his local knowledge about restaurants, tours, etc, as well. We all came back much more knowledgeable and ready to continue our Veronese wine journey! Absolutely a well spent afternoon.
Excellent time with excellent wines our tour guide was very good it was a nice day beautiful scenery beautiful wineries to relax at
This tour was fantastic, it includes visiting two wineries with different approaches to creating the same style of reds. Lorenzo the tour guide was amazing and very friendly and informative. It’s a tour of eight so feels really exclusive and intimate.
Despite being very early in the day to drink wine ( we did the 9am departure) it was excellent. First stop small family run vineyard. Our guide/ driver was great. The owner was so helpful and the setting just fabulous. Second stop almost as good. Highly recommend.
Perfect wine tour of 2 smaller wineries. Our guide was amazing and we loved the wineries he chose because they focused on the purity of the wine. The country side was beautiful! Stephano was excellent.
Small group was good. We tasted 5 wines at both stops. The 2 wineries were very different from each other which was nice.
The van we travelled to the wineries was impeccably clean and comfortable. Our guide Stefano was entertaining and quite charming. First visit was great and the wines too. The second wineries was more commercial and average wines. On whole I felt it was overpriced but not much to compete with.
Great option to try smaller winyards' products. Very educational and lovely experience. The guide is super fun and easy going taking different scenic routes to and from the winyards. The small vinyards production is organic and sustainable and the hosts very engaging. The wines are excellent. We bought wines from each location. Highly recommend this experience.
Great tour! Stefano was a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable about the wines of the region and he made the day fun. Air conditioned van was nice during the heat of the Summer and the two vineyards we visited were both special. We ended up buying a bottle of red that was among the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!
This was a wonderful trip. Stefano, our guide, was prompt, knowledgeable, and entertaining. The wineries were scenic, the presentations were interesting, and the tasting was great. We would go again.
Leo was super. Knowledgeable and friendly and a good driver.
You will visit 2 family run wineries and taste some magnificent wines from the Valpolicella wine region. Theses are all red wines with a unique and flavorful character. Alessandra was pur guide and she was very friendly and a great driver! It was a fun and memorable day!! I would do it again next time I'm in the region!!
One of the best wine tours that we've experienced. We visited two small unique wineries. Very informative and the wines were superb! We even have the Amarone shipped home and that is the first. Recommended!
We visited 2 vineyards - large commercial (Farina) and small family estate (Corte Badin - Bonazzi Viticoltori). Tasting experience Ten out of Ten. Great combinations of fine Ripasso and Amarone wines. Host at each very knowledgeable and welcoming. Seen all stages of production from grape on vine to bottle. Six wines at first, four at second. Wonderful history of smaller estate told through documents and small museum.
Absolutely fantastic tour with Stefano. He really knows his stuff about the Valpolicella region and wines and was a terrific guide and host. Two fantastic wineries visited tasting 9 different wines whilst being educated by the enthusiastic and proud owners of the vineyards. Highly recommended.
Wonderful tour of two wineries near Verona. Enjoyed learning about the wine making process and tastings with local pairings.
Top notch experience. would recommend for wine lovers.
This was such a fantastic experience. The tour guide Emanuele was exceptionally knowledgeable and did everything possible to make the trip comfortable and enjoyable. The tours of the vine yards and wineries were very interesting and the wine was excellent as was the cheese and hams included alongside the wine . It was also lovely to escape the mid August crowds - it was very peaceful. Would definitely recommend!
Very friendly tour guide and visited 2 nice wineries, tasted very good wines and nice local cheese and meats.
Great to go to two different wineries and be able to compare different wines. The guide was very helpful and informative.
Great tours and tastings at two boutique wineries with both a great guide and passionate and knowledgeable winemakers. The wine and snacks were delicious and the locations perfect!
It was an excellent tour that I highly recommend. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about wine and everything related to it, making the experience both informative and enjoyable. The hosts at the wineries were also very knowledgeable and did a great job sharing their expertise and passion. We especially enjoyed being part of a smaller group, which made the experience much more personal and relaxed. We were also lucky to have a wonderful group of fellow travelers, which made the day even more enjoyable.
We booked the morning session of this small group wine tour. It ended up a private tour with just two of us!!! Leo was our guide and driver. He was very knowledgable about the wine produced and the history of that area. Because it was just two of us, we had a wonderful time chatting with Leo and also the winery guides!!
I just completed the Amarone Wine Tasting Tour from Verona with Private Transportation by Waystours (a B Corp which I was so excited to see!), and it was absolutely amazing! This was one of the highlights of my time in Italy. Our tour guide was outstanding. Knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the region and its wines. They took us to two fantastic properties where we enjoyed beautiful storytelling, excellent wine tastings, and wonderful hospitality. The combination of learning the history and traditions behind Amarone while sipping world-class wines in such stunning settings was unforgettable. I especially loved how the experience fostered a sense of connection and friendships among the group. The private transportation made everything seamless and comfortable, allowing us to fully relax and enjoy the day without any stress. If you’re in Verona and love wine, history, and great company, I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. Waystours delivered a perfect balance of education, tasting, and genuine warmth. Thank you for an exceptional experience—we’ll definitely be back!
We had a wonderful tour with Stefano. He brought us to two amazing vineyards where we had very engaging tours and got to sample lots of delicious wine and snacks. Stefano was very knowledgeable on the full process and answered all our questions. We learned so much! We also really liked the small tour group size. The transportation was comfortable and the meeting point was easy to find. Thank you :)
We had a fantastic tour guide who took incredible care to curate a unique and compelling experience with two great and very different wineries. We learned a lot and enjoyed ourselves greatly. Will reccomend to many more!
Excellent tour of two special wineries. Tour guide was excellent and staff at the wineries were great
Great tour and nice to see the difference between big and small winery and great wine tastings. Friendly and knowledgeable guide and in the hot weather the airconditioned van was a big plus.
We visited two wineries, Corte Borghetti and Corte Archi, only 20 minutes or so drive from Verona. The contrast between the two wineries and the approach to growing and making wines was very noticeable, which made the tour worthwhile. In total nine red wines were tasted and many bottles purchased. The air con in the van was welcomed and the insights provided by our guide helped so much. Very happy that we booked the tour.
Lorenzo was our tour guide and he was great. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The two wineries were beautiful in their own right. Food and wine were excellent. And the countryside views were amazing. True Italian wine experience. Loved it
A decent afternoon out. Got to taste 10ndifferent wines from 2 wineries. A medium sized winery and a small producer. Both interesting and both with excellent wine. The first winery gave decent sized portions and a fantastic selection of meats and cheeses to taste the wine with. The 2nd winery was a tad tight with the measures though.
Excellent host, knowledgeable speakers and great wine. Some of the wines are touted to pair very well with chocolate, they did not have any chocolate. That was the only down side. One of the vineyards had a few dogs who were very friendly. 10/10
Our group of 6 thoroughly enjoyed the chauffeured drive by Lorenzo and his informative commentary, and we loved the visit to La Dama and Francini family-operated vineyards. The visit to the cellars of both vineyards were picturesque, while the wine tastings were fabulous. An excellent tour that we would highly recommend.
Great wine tour! The guide and wines were all fantastic.
We had a great time! Our guide was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The wine was delicious and the vineyards were beautiful. Was only a short drive from Verona. Totally worth it and highly recommend.
Great tour. Stefan was wonderful. Both wineries were great. Wonderful hosts, impressive facilities, and of course great wines. Amorone was a treat. Highly recommend this tour. Thank you Stefan. 🍷
Our party of 4 went on this experience together. Right from the pick up (Stefan) everything was smooth and interesting. Stefan provided a narrative along the way as we travelled to 2 winery locations. While there we were welcomed to what felt like their home. Great environment and great information about the wine making experience. We enjoyed 4 samples at each location accompanied by meat, cheese and bread. Had a really great time and I would highly recommend this experience.
We truly enjoyed our wine tour to two different wineries in wine country near Verona! There were only 3 guests on this tour so it was very intimate and easy to ask questions. Our guide, (Alessandra), was very knowledgeable and explained the wineries and processes very well to us ahead of time as we were driving to give us insight to what we were seeing. The pours were nice and they had little snacks to accompany the tasting. We are very glad we booked this experience!
Very interesting and well organized tour. Serena was very informative on the coach trip and then we saw how amarone wine was produced which is very different. We tried plenty of different red wines and it was very enjoyable.
Excellent trip. The only issue was the early start 09.00 hours. We don’t normally drink wine as early as 10.30 hours.
Great tour! Stefano was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and the wines we tasted as well as all processes. We learned a lot and met some great people.
Firstly our guide Stefano was excellent. The wineries we went to & the wines were superb. Family owned small wineries, not large mass produced ones. Learnt a bit of history which was interesting but not boring. Highly recommend.
Well done. Informative trip to wine country. Good wine and good food, what's not to like? We would recommend it to friends.
