This was our second stay at the hotel. Unfortunately, this time we experienced poor room service and a significant decline in breakfast quality. The bathroom fixtures are outdated and poorly maintained. The shower tiles were not thoroughly cleaned, leading to mold growth in the grout. On a positive note, I would like to commend the reception team, who patiently showed us several alternative options until we found a suitable room. We greatly appreciated their assistance. Additionally, there was a noticeable smell of smoke entering the room, likely due to other guests smoking or inadequate ventilation. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel, especially for families traveling with children.

Great stay. Room was clean and spacious. A couple of things, the extractor fan in the bathroom didn’t work, and the gym could have better/more equipment, not the best, but ok. The shuttle from the hotel to town and back was fantastic though, really appreciated. 😊
I have been a regular business guest at Best Western CTC Hotel Verona, with approximately 40 nights spent at this property across multiple stays between July 2025 and August 2026. I am also a Best Western Rewards Diamond Select member. Unfortunately, what happened on 16 August 2026 completely changed my opinion of the hotel. Reception called my room asking who the person visiting me was. The tone was unnecessarily intrusive and accusatory, almost like being questioned by the police. I was also told that this was something I had supposedly done “many times before”, which is simply incorrect: this was the first time in 2026 that I had invited someone to my room. Apparently, reception realised that another person was with me because I had ordered food for two people from the hotel restaurant. I was then told to bring the visitor’s ID to reception immediately. I fully understand that hotels may have policies or legal requirements regarding visitors, and I have no problem complying with legitimate rules. What I strongly object to is the way this was handled: the tone, the lack of discretion, the feeling of being monitored, and especially the false suggestion that this was a repeated behaviour. I travel extensively for business and spend a large part of the year in hotels, both in Italy and abroad. I have never experienced this kind of approach elsewhere. When someone spends weeks away from home for work, it is perfectly normal to occasionally receive a private visitor. A business traveller still has a private life, and that privacy should be treated with professionalism and discretion. After around 40 nights at this hotel, I expected a relationship based on trust, courtesy and recognition as a loyal guest. Instead, I felt treated with suspicion. For me, this property seems much better suited to high-volume tourist stays than to frequent business travellers looking for privacy, discretion and a long-term relationship with the hotel. After this experience, I will not stay here again. For future business trips to Verona, I will choose other hotels or private apartments where privacy is better respected.
I am going to be kind and go in the middle here. Reception staff were weird. We were welcomed like it was a recording. Nothing personal in the way we were spoken to and we all walked away and went "that was weird". We then went in the restaurant after a bad experience in the city and I we only ordered a salad and some bread. The bread never turned up but it was on the bill!. So would we stay there again?. Probably because the room was huge and the beds were comfy. For 4 stars they just need to polish up the details.
Overall, I was not impressed and would not recommend staying at this hotel. My experience at this hotel has been very disappointing. The rooms are spacious but very outdated, and the bathroom had several issues, including a clogged shower drain and a leak coming from the bathtub. We found a bug crawling on the walls. The pillows are very old and flat, offering little comfort and no fluffiness. Overall, this does not reflect what I would expect from American hotel standards. At best, this feels like a 2.5-star property. For a room booked for two people, we were only provided with ONE set of towels, which is not acceptable. They place us in the same level with a bunch of teenagers. We could hear them running around, talking loud and laughing, and the phone would randomly ring. It was extremely unpleasant stay. I am surprised by the standards given that this is a Best Western property, as it did not meet the expectations associated with the brand.
