B&b Antique Maison

Re to the Manager: I gave it a 4-star rating, not a sloppy one. And I admitted that despite the small problems/suggestions that could easily be solved, I would return. However, given your rudeness and the fact that you didn't understand some of your suggestions, I'm lowering the stars. ORIGINAL: Excellent location with parking nearby. The manager is also very kind and helpful (unlike B&Bs where the managers are just cold chatterboxes). The place is carefully furnished, everything inspired by books and writers, even down to the smallest details (floors or steps). Breakfast was good and varied; my only concern was the rudeness, despite us being the first to arrive in the breakfast room, of seating us at the table furthest from the panoramic window. No other guests arrived for the next 30 minutes, and there would have been plenty of time to re-set the table. Another flaw is the poorly insulated room door with a gap that can be seen from the hallway (and vice versa!!). The same goes for the bathroom door cracks: despite the notice, we were told they were original doors (as in a historic building). What about privacy? There are books in the room, too, some very interesting and enjoyable to read. A little more attention could be paid to cleaning certain shelves (easily accessible) and to taking care of any worn labels...but for certain books, I'd return.

Beautiful and relaxing

Generous, beautifully decorated rooms, comfortable beds, tasty breakfast and friendly, personal and efficient service. Excellent ratio quality - price. Soave is a pretty small town near Verona. Highly recommended.

B&B Antique Maison is a charming family owned property situated in a quiet little street just outside the medieval city walls of Soave. The peaceful location means that there is no disturbance from traffic or passers by, but it is only two minutes walk from the main centre and a choice of shops, bars and restaurants. The free public parking is only a few metres from the front door so is ideal if you have luggage. The comfort of my spacious room, the friendly welcome from Luigino and the service I received throughout my short stay made it a most enjoyable one.
