Ark Hotel

The only positive thing about the hotel is the location. I don't know how they have 4 stars. The ventilation made noise through the night even when it was off, the rooms smelled bad, the towels smelled bad and there was dust everywhere. The dust issue was so bad that we checked out one day earlier and I didn't even care for a refund or anything else, I just wanted to leave. The rooms are small, the beds are uncomfortable and we could barely open the windows to try and solve the smell issue because they wouldn't open all the way.

The location is good between train station and Verona arena (city center) - a 10-15 min. walk. The breakfast was as expected and enough selections were offered. The room was small but quite new. The air condition needs a cleaning, as it stunk quite a bit. The outside (courtyard) is unfortunately completly covered with tiles - almost no green at all and therefore hotter than it needed to be.

The location is great for anyone staying one night and wants easy access to the train station. However for a 4 star hotel it lacks a certain level of service, for example refreshments on arrival, water fountains etc the rooms are very small with very minimalistic decor, beds were not comfortable mattress had a dent rm 510. The aircon was working well, quiet and the breakfast was satisfactory.

Can't praise the Ark Hotel enough... its reception staff make all the difference. The rooms are simple but spotlessly clean with everything you could need. The Hotel is a short walk from the train station making it an ideal base to start your journey to elsewhere in Italy.
