Not quite sure how I should rate this tour as it was probably one of the funniest tours I’ve done through Viator…. The tour guide was clearly very drunk but at the same time quite funny and entertaining…. He didn’t really tell us much history other than lots about the flood marks in the walls but still it was quite a fun evening! We thought as far as tours go it taught us nothing but at the same time was a really fun experience! Don’t do this if you want to be educated in Venice but do it if you want a fun night out! By the way… he tells you the Osteria you eat in is 4.9/5 on google reviews 🤣🤣 It was the only one on the whole road that was completely empty, we passed it twice after the tour and there was not a soul in it….. make of that what you will but it was still fun and for the money very worth it, if only for the energetic inebriated host!

Great and fun history lesson… the guide was personable and fun. But for the fact that no mention of ghosts or mystery whatsoever unfortunately.
Such a fun and interesting time with Andrea! We learned so much and really enjoyed ourselves. It was a great tour! Thank you
Andrea was very knowledgeable, helpful and witty. We learned so much about the beautiful city of Venice and enjoyed the food and culture. He went out of his way to ensure we left satisfied and even made us reservations at a restaurant after our tour. One of the best tours we’ve been on and highly recommended!
5/5. Excited and fun tour guide with a lot of energy. Very accommodating and answered all of our questions regarding our trip.
Our tour guide was very personable and fun. Great customer service. However the bad weather necessitated cancelling the tour.
Perfect tour of parts of this amazing city that we would not have known about. Our guy Andre was so knowledgeable of the city and the customs that makes sense Venice so unique
Great tour of Venice by a real local, very lively and informative guide, toured the ghetto, which was a draw for us.
5 out of 5. Excellent information about the whole city / islands. Just amazing guide. Can't say enough good things. So much history so much To learn even about our own language (english)
Not what we expected. We literally just walked. Could have done that by ourselves. Venice by night give the impression its after dark. It isn't. We were disappointed.
Andrea is the best guide! His fast knowledge of Venice its history and its Arden architecture are really outstanding! We went to the Castillo and San Marco districts and also to the Arsenale. The Arsenale has big lion stone statues plundered from Athens many centuries ago (the lion is the symbol of Venice). We also walked by a very well known, and very Venetian restaurant, La Caneva di Mauro ( so good). I now feel like I know Venice!
Great tour of Venice. Our guide was very good, let us decide the pace of the tour. Learned a lot, and saw parts of town I did know about
As an artist, I knew more about Venice than the guide, but it was a fun experience nonetheless. He had a great sense of humor that made the journey enjoyable!
Tour guide cancelled at last minute, due to illness surely there are other guides? Not impressed waiting for a refund.
Andrea was an awesome tour guide. We saw parts of Venice that we would not have found on our own. We learned so much about the history and current lifestyle.
The night view of Venice was breathtaking, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and we were with a couple from North Carolina and we were from South Carolina that was very rare to meet someone from your area
Our tour was fantastic, Andrea helped us navigate the city streets better and told us about the history of Venice as well as Cannaregio. Highly recommend you book early in your trip! Thank you Andrea!
We booked an English tour. Our guide didn’t speak English. He insulted my husband then cancelled our tour without even asking us. We have NOT received a refund . This was the most horrible experience of our whole trip to Europe
You could do 100 tours non are like this. You explore hidden non tourist sections of Venice full of locals. Learn random/interesting/sad facts about the history and the current cultures
This tour takes you off the normal trek to parts of Venice most tourists don't usually explore. It was great to get away from the hordes and see different sites. And the tour guide was very knowledgeable - and funny!
Our tour guide made us feel like we were venicians by the end of the evening. Very passionate about describing the history to us. Stopping and giving a great depiction of sight. Many suggestions on where to eat and how to manure around the canal. We would definitely recommend doing this on first day
Our tour guide was very informative. He tried very hard to explain about the area we visited. His passion was evident in his explanations. He took us to a nice restaurant to give us a taste of wine and a ciccetti. It was very good. He also showed us a great restaurant at the end of the tour. The cannaregio area is wonderful! Thank you!
Booked this tour my first day in Venice. The tour guide was a local, but he mostly talked about himself and his family, instead of the city. He may have also had too many cups of coffee and would ramble and repeat himself. My favorite part was the small group and getting to meet people from different countries.
Our tour was canceled because of expected thunderstorms but it never rained at all. We did not go. No tour. I got a message in time.
Nice guide, including some food and drink. We were dropped off at the end for a dinner--food was great, but seemed to talk quite a while to prepare; other than that, was a fine experience.
Fun tour of hidden Venice. Guide was entertaining and informative. Appreciated all the local history and access to Biennial exhibits. Definitely saw things I normally wouldn’t have.
Andreapaolo was a brilliant and knowledgable tour guide to Venice. He spent a lot of time with us, and gave lots of useful information and history. A good introduction to Venice on our first night.
Nice guide, not a lot of new information and sometimes it seemed more like bullet points than a coherent story. Showed some pictures on his phone. Overall we felt we would have discovered more on our own. The group was small and very nice.
This was just an okay tour. It certainly wasn’t bad, but it was forgettable. It will not be a highlight of our trip looking back. The tour gave some good local insight nuggets, mostly like “interesting facts” stuff. Nothing that was a big deal. The restaurant stop was just ok…couple little snacks in a small crowded restaurant. Tour felt long, could have been 1-hour shorter for sure.
Book this tour now!! Learn about the rich history of Venice through the eyes of proud and loving custodians of the city. Our guide, Andrea, shared the highlights and history in a captivating and truly entertaining fashion. The best start to our adventure in Venice.
Andreapaolo was a wonderful, warm, friendly and funny guide, he kept the group engaged with interesting facts through the walk and had plenty of advice to offer for other sights to see in this beautiful city. I did this tour only hours after arriving, and it was a great way to be introduced to Venice and how to navigate the many streets and islands. Following the 1.5 hour walk (with some neat photo opportunities) you sit down for dinner at a darn good seafood restaurant. I'm not usually a seafood fan so was relieved to see they have a few meat or vegetarian options. However I recommend you go out of your comfort zone and try the cuttlefish ink pasta like I did, it's surprisingly rich!
Awesome time. Very professional and funny so much to learn from this. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to learn about the city and make new friends in the process!
Wonderful. Best tour we have done in Italy. Our guide was funny and so knowledgeable about the area and it’s history. We stopped for drinks and nibbles and he then made reservations for those who wished an evening meal at the end of the tour. The tour lasted 3 hours but it didn’t feel like it. Would absolutely recommend this tour.
We spent our first night in Venice getting oriented to the city, the history and the people with Andrea … who was a gem! Funny and down to earth and knowledgeable too! We were able to see lots of the city & get a hearty snack and beverage too. Would 100% recommend!
AndeaPaolo was very entertaining and fun. He went the extra mile to help us connect with the tour when we got a bit lost. We would highly recommend this as an introduction to your first evening in Venice.
Andrea was a fantastic guide, we tried so many delicious dishes and learned a lot on his tour. Highly recommend!
This is a must-do tour in my opinion. I did this on my first night which was definitely the best time to do it. Our tour guide was so informative and fun, not to mention gave us great tips for things to see, try, and enjoy. I don't want to give too much away but this was so worthwhile and would recommend to anyone thinking of visiting Venice. Thank you so much Andrea!
Andrea was a great guide for our tour, very knowledgeable and took us to places we would never have discovered. At the end of our trip he gave us lots of hints and tips to enjoy the rest of our stay
Andrea was absolutely brilliant, entertaining and very knowledgeable, took us to places we would have never have known about and gave us great hints and tips for the rest of our stay.
Just Amazing !!! Andrea’ is a very entertaining guide who just loves his city (country) . We had such fun & and amazing experiences w/ him !!! Hands down the best tour !!! Personal as if you are a member of his family :) He made sure to pay attention to all the tourists in the group (small group is the Best !!!) We saw Venice from day one & we are in Love with this city now !!! And it’s all thanks to Andrea b/c we skipped all the crowds & saw the very interesting sites … not your ordinary 20 pple tour would ever do that. My kids love Andrea Now !!!
Andrea is both passionate and animated. He led the tour with positive energy and a lively pace. We saw many areas of Venice we would have not found on our own.
Andrea was energetic and very informative. It was nice to see the hidden walkways and off the beaten path restaurants. We learned a lot of history and had fun too! A little stop for spritz or Prosecco was a nice touch.
Our guide showed us so many hidden parts of Venice. His commentary was both interesting and memorable, and he really brought the city and it’s history to life. Thank you!
We took the “Your Evening Tour of Venice” when we first arrived in Venice which was great because the two days we spent there we knew where to go for reasonable eating and gift buying. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 ⭐️ is that although our guide was personable and enthusiastic his English was often difficult to understand and he depended on innuendo to get points across that just left me confused as to the meaning he was trying to get across.
We were kept very engaged and entertained, even though it was rainy and chilly. Our guide was energetic, fun and informative. Perfect for our first evening in the city.
I highly recommend this on your first night in Venice. It will force you to stay up and adjust to the time difference. Our host was entertaining and engaging. Even though it was chilly and raining, it was informative and fun.
What a great walking tour — the location covered is a part of the city that is not smack in the middle of the usual tourist zone, so it's a PERFECT way to get to know Venice better. We started with a visit to the old Jewish quarter, which was very moving. We continued with a walk all around Cannaregio, ending near Rialto Bridge. Andrea was full of stories, banter, and super interesting information about all of the buildings and other sights around us, and added in a lot of 'fun facts' that are particular to how Venice works. Small group, great guide, very entertaining and educational. Very good value for the price, would 100 percent recommend to all. Thank you!
We took both the night in Venice tour and the 3 Island tour, perfect route, superb storytelling and an overall feeling your accompanied by a close friend who is showing you his home. Highly and whole heartily recommended.
Andreas was an AMAZING tour guide and this was a perfect introduction to Venice. As a native to the area, his knowledge of the history and passion for Venice was simply the best! Would recommend his tour to everyone visiting Venice.
Andrea was an excellent tour guide!!! Very kind and very accessible. He walked us thru venis while sharing the history and the details that you wouldnt notice if you go alone. At the end of the tour we ate at the Osteria Ai Specchieri which was exquisit. Good food and good service. Would recommend. The tour was also very elderly friendly, since Andrea made it easy for an older persone who accompanied us.
