Campiello dei Squelini is a small and charming hidden square tucked away in the heart of Venice, offering visitors a glimpse into the city’s quieter and more authentic atmosphere. Far from the busiest tourist routes, this peaceful corner is surrounded by traditional Venetian buildings, narrow alleys, and picturesque canals that capture the timeless beauty of the floating city. Like many historic campielli in Venice, it reflects the intimate character of local Venetian life, where residents once gathered and everyday activities took place. Walking through Campiello dei Squelini allows travelers to experience the romantic and tranquil side of Venice while discovering hidden corners often missed by larger crowds. Its central location also makes it a perfect stop while exploring nearby churches, historic landmarks, and the enchanting streets leading toward San Marco and Rialto.
ialto Bridge is the most famous bridge in Venice and one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Spanning the magnificent Grand Canal, this elegant stone bridge has connected the two sides of Venice for centuries and remains a symbol of the city’s rich history and timeless beauty. Originally built as a wooden bridge and later reconstructed in stone in the 16th century, the Rialto Bridge was once the bustling commercial center of Venice, surrounded by merchants, markets, and trading routes from around the world. Today, it is lined with charming shops and offers spectacular panoramic views over the Grand Canal, where gondolas and traditional boats glide through the water. The bridge is one of the best places in Venice to admire the city’s romantic atmosphere, especially at sunrise or sunset when the canals glow with golden light. A visit to the Rialto Bridge is an essential experience for anyone discovering the magic of Venice.
Visit Scuola Grande di San Rocco an unique site in San Polo. In this monumental headquarter decorated by Tintorretto over 60 paintings are preserved.
Explore Basilia of Saints Giovanni and Paolo, the biggest church in the city, thatt dominate the Venetian horizon with its 55-m high dome.Several doges and famous characters have been given burial here.
St. Mark’s Square, also known as Piazza San Marco, is the heart of Venice and one of the most breathtaking squares in the world. Surrounded by extraordinary architecture and centuries of history, it has long been the political, religious, and cultural center of the Venetian Republic. The square is home to some of Venice’s most iconic landmarks, including the magnificent St. Mark’s Basilica with its golden mosaics and Byzantine beauty, and the majestic Doge’s Palace, once the residence of the powerful Venetian doges. Elegant arcades, historic cafés, live orchestras, and the soaring bell tower create a magical atmosphere that enchants visitors from all over the world. Overlooking the lagoon and filled with timeless charm, Piazza San Marco is the perfect place to experience the grandeur, romance, and unique spirit of Venice.

Wonderful tour with excellent guide! It was informative and included history of all of Venice’s key sites.
This tour was amazing. Our guide Julia speaks English and Spanish so well! She showed us all the hidden gems of Venice and avoided the tourist spots & gave great suggestions. Very patient and answered everyone’s questions so well! Highly recommend to get your Venice trip started.
Couldn't complete the tour as people from the group went missing and time was wasted in waiting and looking for them. Valentina was warm, informative and friendly showing us interesting spots which we would have otherwise missed. The heat was pretty high in the 330 pm tour so would recommend an evening time if one can take.
Our tour guide was great! She gave us a lot of information and explained it all well and kept it interesting! It was a nice introduction to city of Venice and we enjoyed it and would recommend it!
Excellent value for money, very informative with a wonderful guide who covered lots of Venice’s top sights
Be aware that you stand long still on few places. Not really historical tour more venice as city and some special stories
Denise was a great tour guide.. funny!! Very informative. Would recommend. We enjoyed our time.xxxxxzz. Xxx.
If you’re looking for a fun, good paced walking tour - this is not it! Unfortunately 22 people were in the tour, much more than 15 and the walking was extremely slow and had frequent stops. Also as a young Australian, you’ll find that everyone on the tour were Americans over 50 years old, so you might feel a bit left out. Tour guide was lovely though, just wish that she walked a bit faster.
Daisy, our guide, was very knowledgeable and friendly. She shared information and history that made our trip to Venice much more memorable. Thank you!
The hidden gems along the narrow lane ways away from the crowds along with the detailed information on each location provided by our specialist guide. The heat, humidity and our aching joints toward the end took away some of the enjoyment for us.
An awesome way to learn more about the city from a local! She also provided us with a list of the best restaurants, etc at the end.
Denise was a great guide. We learned so much about Venice. We seen so much in Venice. We are all made more comfortable after touring with Denise. What a great experience with a true Venetian.
Amazing experience....guide was very invested in providing an excellent experience to me and made sure to answer all questions
Super guide with lots of unexpected local information and history of Venice. Nice pace and light hearted. A fab couple of ours to introduce us to Venice....thank you 😀
Daisy, Our tour guide was amazing! She gave us such an interesting tour of Venice and told us lots of cool facts. The only downside was the communication gadgets - the connection kept breaking, and it was hard to hear when we were walking behind more than 10 people. We missed out on a few facts, but overall no complaints. Thank you!
Our guide, Valentina took us around places that we would never visited and she recommended some amazing restaurants. Her knowledge of the city’s history was incredible. It was a great tour!
Great tour with Valentina! Thank you for a nice overview of Venice with some interesting history. Definitely recommend!
Excellent walking tour, seeing both popular locations as well as more 'hidden' parts of Venice. Daisy was our guide and she was very knowledgeable about Venice, both its history and in the present. There were 14 in our group, which was a manageable size. I would recommend this tour on your first day in Venice, to help get an overview of the city.
Excellent introduction to Venice on Day one of our visit. Well informed, local Venetian guide with excellent English.
Very informative and understandable tour guide. We enjoyed ourselves and learned lots. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job!
Fantastic tour with Simona we learnt so much about Venice , and good idea to do it on your first day to help navigate your way around this crazy incredible place !
Well worth taking this tour. So informative and interesting, covering the history of Venice, how it was constructed and why. The tour not only covered famous tourist locations, but also behind the screen in hidden alleyways. Excellent guide, helpful and friendly.
It was quick but really informative tour of the inside streets of Venice. Really enjoyed it. The rain did not start until the tour ended. Perfect morning
We enjoyed the walking tour. Our guide Valentina was fantastic. She was fun to be with, explained everything thoroughly and even gave us great recommendations on local food.
This was a wonderful tour of Venice, we got to see and learn a lot about this amazing city from Valentina, who was very knowledgeable on the subject. I would highly recommend this tour!
It was a great experience with Valentina to walk in the city and benefit from her insights Valentina was well prepared and attention ate to each of the guests
Fantastic knowledgeable guide with a wealth of information about Venice and the sights. Comprehensive tour of both places. Highly recommended. You will miss a lot going by yourselves.
Very interesting tour with the engaging Denise. Would recommend the tour, Denise gave us her view as a native Venetian, who knows her city well
Fosca was very informative and fun. We were only four in our group, so it was a great tour. It was raining the whole time, but that didn't stop us. It's Venice, and it was great to learn about it.
Excellent tour by Gianmarco! We loved all the anecdotes he shared and it was great to focus on San Polo and the hidden stories of Venice’s past.
A fantastic tour with a great guide. Gianmarco uncovered for us the parts of Venice that we would probably never have found ourselves. We received rich historical background of the city, and valuable tips for our own sightseeing later on. We were delighted that we had decided to take the tour.
Our guide, Denise, was terrific. A Venice native, she had great history and info about the city. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and highly recommend it.
Our guide Daisy was very knowledgeable and she is passionate about Venice. I was able to learn a lot about the history of Venice and to see things which you will pass without noticing otherwise.
Camilla was our tour guide! She was so intelligent! She is a art historian as well as a local, so she really new what she was talking about!
Valentina was very nice and the tour was informative and helpful to get orientated yo the city. It was however difficult yo understand her due to her accent…but it’s Venice!!
Daisy was very punctual. And her knowledge on the history of the sites visited is excellent. Her fluent command of the english language really helped us a lot.
Brilliant tour, the guide was a local and knew so much history, and also gave us recommendations for restaurants and bars afterwards. Would highly recommend!
Denise was knowledgeable and engaging and ready to answer all questions - great historic and modern perspective on the city
Nous avons fait la visite avec Valentina en anglais, très bonne expérience. Nous avons beaucoup appris, Valentina est une guide passionnée par ce qu’elle raconte. Visite à pieds dans différents quartiers de Venise. Je recommande
