Itinerary
Santa Maria della Salute (or Salute Church or simply La Salute) is a basilica in Venice erected in the area of Punta della Dogana, from where it stands out in the panorama of St. Mark's Basin and the Grand Canal. Designed by Baldassare Longhena with attention to Palladio's models, it is one of the best expressions of Venetian Baroque architecture. Its construction represents an ex voto to the Madonna by Venetians for deliverance from the Plague that decimated the population between 1630 and 1631. The cult became so deeply rooted in Venice that the Virgin Mary was added to the list of patron saints of the city of Venice.
The Island of San Giorgio Maggiore is a small island, located opposite St. Mark's Square in Venice. Separated from the island of Giudecca by the small canale della Grazia, it is also washed by the Giudecca Canal, the San Marco Basin, the San Marco Canal, and, to the south, the lagoon; it is part of the sestiere of San Marco.
San Lazzaro degli Armeniè a small island in the Venice lagoon, located near the west coast of the Venice Lido and completely occupied by a monastery, the mother house of the Mekhitarist Order. The island is one of the world's first centers of Armenian culture.
St. Mark's Square, is one of the most important monumental squares in the world, renowned all over the planet for its beauty and architectural integrity. It is also known as “The Drawing Room of Europe” or “The Piazza.” It is the only urban space in Venice that properly takes the name “piazza,” as all other spaces in the form of a square are properly called “campi.” One of the wonders of humanity.
The Lido of Venice is a thin island stretching about 12 km between the Venetian lagoon and the Adriatic Sea, bounded by the ports of San Nicolò and Malamocco and connected to the city and the mainland only by scheduled waterbuses and motor rafts for transporting vehicles. About 12.2 km long, it is one of the few islands in the lagoon on which there are carriage roads; there is also a small tourist airport. It is famous for its beautiful beach, wonderful Art Nouveau villas from the 1900s and the Film Festival where film stars from all over the world attend every year.
Le Vignole is a small island in the Venice Lagoon inhabited by only 54 people. It is known as one of Venice's vegetable gardens. Here Venetians go to spend happy days of rest by boat. It is most famous for the prodizione of artichokes called “castraure” that can be eaten raw!
The Venice Arsenal is an ancient complex of shipyards and workshops that makes up a very large part of the island city of Venice at its eastern end. It was the heart of the Venetian shipbuilding industry from the 12th century onward and is linked to the most prosperous period in the life of the Serenissima: thanks to the imposing ships built here, the Venetian Republic was able to dominate the Mediterranean and gain a monopoly on trade with the East Surrounded by 3 km of crenellated red-brick walls, it employed a maximum of 16. 000 people at the height of its operation and can be considered, due to its size, age and the ingenuity of its design and operation (ships were built here on an assembly line since the 16th century) as one of the first true industrial complexes in Europe.
The Venice Lagoon is the largest lagoon in the Mediterranean Sea A place of rare beauty, it offers unique sensations and atmospheres in every season. The entire territory was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1987. The Venice lagoon cannot be told, it can only be experienced!
There is not much to say. it is simply one of the most beautiful views in the world that you will enjoy aboard our bragozzo “El Sultan” while sipping an excellent prosecco.

If you're wanting to end your trip to Venice on a high note, this is the thing to do. Prior to our boat ride, we were given very clear instructions on when and where to meet. Leonardo was such a great host to us! He made sure to point out several landmarks and explain the history of them. If you are worried about being parched, do not worry, because he will make sure you always have something to drink. And if you ask, he will absolutely take pictures for you. I absolutely recommend the private tour if you can catch it because it is a very intimate experience that you don't want to miss!
This was a great way to explore Venice in less busy areas by boat. Leonardo was very knowledgeable and was happy to answer all our questions. We saw some great sights and learned a lot about the history of Venice and surrounding areas.
Wonderful experience and a perfectly timed tour of Venice! Guide shared some interesting details about Venice and the area and was on time and very courteous!
It was wonderful to do it. I know abetter-view about Venice. Coincidentally it was on my married anniversary.
Great experience - very knowledgeable! Much better way to see and hear about Venice than a walking tour!
Tomasso was incredible! It was an amazing evening with him!! Beautiful evening tour around Venice :)
A great look at the city from the water with a great guide. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the city
Great history lesson. Very good tour guide too. Met some nice people from Alabama. Hope to do it again someday.
Great experience. Great guide. Terrific way to see the city. Start your trip here
It’s a tour of the lagoon, very relaxing and beautiful. Our guide Leonardo was fantastic, friendly, informative, he handled the boat safely. Highly recommend this tour!!
We absolutely loved this sunset tour! It was so amazing !!! Tomasso, our skipper, was super friendly, knowledgeable and fun! We truly enjoyed every second of this Venetian boat ride! The sunset was gorgeous. So glad we decided to spend our first evening in Venice doing this tour. So worth it!
A wonderful way to learn about Venice from the water. Our boat captain was very knowledgeable about the history.
Tommaso was brilliant and so kind. Loads of prosecco and absolutely gorgeous sunset. Highly recommend the private tour- went at our pace
Leonardo gave us a great time. He is Venician and knew everything about the history of the island. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. The boat ride was beautiful and educational for us. Highly recommend!
If you are only coming to Venice once, you got to consider a sunset cruise, and this one with Leonardo was fantastic. Toss in the history and the beauty and the comfort of being with family you know, the private 7pm cruise was beet for us.
This was not a sunset tour like it started ir we were promised. The boat was very uncomfortable…the seats are so narrow that they aren’t comfortable at all. The guide was good, and so were the sights. There was no swim stop, which surprised me. Every other boat tour we’ve taken has a swim stop.
The boat tour was a very good value. Andrew was very knowledgeable about the history of the various sites. He was personable fun to be with especially as the Proseco flowed. I would suggest you take a private water taxi and not a public one and give yourself extra time. Make sure your meeting place is understood by both parties. Overall our group of six was very well pleased with our experience. I’d recommend this tour and the company that provides it
The best ride! Leonardo was a fantastic captain/guide. The prosecco was superb. And the views were stunning.
Excellent tour with Leonardo!!! He was very knowledgeable about Venice and it's history - including the surrounding islands!
We only had one short day in Venice and I couldn’t be more thrilled that we chose to spend it on a sunset cruise with Tamaso. He was a wonderful guide and we learned so much about Venice and the surrounding islands. Highly recommend.
Absolute great way to see Venice! Skipper was great and very knowledgeable about Venice. Definitely recommend
This trip was in an original Venetian boat which toured around the lagoon to places you would not get to normally see with a local Venetian born guide. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
The guide was amazing. A native Venetian who is very knowledgeable and passionate about his city. Super fun. He had a ton of information and yet he was happy to answer questions and go in a different direction. He worked hard making sure we had something to drink too!
What a fantastic experience this was. On a traditional Venice boat with our very knowledgeable guide we seen parts of Venice we hadn’t seen before and learnt so much more. Leonardo was great from start to finish on the tour, a true credit!
This excursion was everything we hoped it would be. Leonardo was knowledgeable and delightful. Highly recommend!
Great evening. Informative and very comfortable. We requested lemonade for part of the group and they took great care of us.
Absolutely fantastic! I would take this tour with Skipper Leonardo again! This night tour was stunning!!
Leo was great. He knew so much history about Venice with a fun sense of humor. It was an incredible evening.
One of our favorite activities that we have done on our trip! Our guide, Tommaso, was excellent! He is so knowledgeable about the entire area and the history. I highly recommend this tour and Tommaso!
What an excellent way to see areas of Venice from the water. Leonardo was excellent and provided so much history throughout the excursion! I would highly recommend.
Nice peaceful experience. Our guide was excellent and very passionate about his city. You’ll visit other islands and learn a little about the history. Waves can get a little bumpy but it’s very safe.
We had a lovely boat ride around the lagoon on our first night in Venice. Our skipper Tommaso shared his knowledge of the lagoon with us, and we made some new friends while we all sipped Prosecco.
Tomaso is a local born and bred Venetian. The amount of information he has is so informative that is like you are in a history class as well. An amazing positive personality, there is no way you won’t have a great time.
Our boat guide Tommaso was there waiting for us at the Meeting Point. He gave us a wonderful tour around the island and we got some Proseco and sodas fir the kids. Beautiful Venetian sunset. He gave us a lot of information about the history of everything we saw. One of our favorite activities on this trip!
Very knowledgeable skipper who took great care of us. Had excellent knowledge of local events and history.
Lovely experience, best thing we’ve done so far in Venice. Leonardo was really knowledgeable and happy to answer all questions. Fantastic way to see Venice
The experience was amazing! beautiful sunset, the skipper Leonardo was very friendly and great at storytelling from venice. We spent my father's 60th birthday with friend and it was the perfect plan.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and the boat ride was great. He provided wine as we made our way through the canals and water ways.
Substantial boat tour with Leanardo covered most of the island even the farming community that was peaceful and private
A very relaxing boat ride with a great skipper! We learned so much and there was so much to see. Thank you
Leonardo was our tour guide and he was phenomenal!! He showed us a lot of the significant sights around Venice and the history behind them. He helped make our trip romantic as I was celebrating my honeymoon and I couldn’t ask for anyone more knowledgeable. He is a Venetian himself and he was proud of it! Great to see he is keeping the tradition alive!
Absolutely amazing experience! We saw the city and surrounding islands like no way we have been able to do on our own. Our guide was so knowledgeable and shared so much history about what we were seeing. The best thing we did in Venice.
This was one of our favorite activities in Italy. So relaxing and informative - we saw things we would have otherwise missed. Our guide was fantastic. Would highly recommend.
Leonardo was a wonderful host. I would definitely book this again. The sunset was beautiful, but it would still be a great trip if cloudy. The local knowledge was fun to hear.
Great tour! Highly recommend! Ask for Tomasso as he was the cherry on top! We couldn’t have picked a more friendly, knowledgeable, and authentic Italian!! Brava!
We got a tour all the way around Venice and saw all the surrounding islands. Learned a lot about the history of each island, how Venice was built to last. It’s a very marshy area and they had to dig very deep. Amazing what they could do way back then. Highly recommend this tour! Our guide was excellent!!
Tommaso was amazing! We had the best time and learned so much! I would recommend this to anyone visiting Venice.
We had an amazing sunset cruise with Tomasso on his beautiful and very comfortable Bragozzo boat. He took us around the lagoon including lovely surrounding islands, such as the island where they grow fruits and vegetables for Venice. Although it was March, the weather was nice and comfortable on the boat with a jacket. Tomasso is a great guy who is from Venice and lives locally - he is a wonderful guide.
We had been to Murano and Burano Islands in the morning, plus, we have been going back-and-forth from Lido. So, it wasn’t quite as spectacular as it would’ve been if we hadn’t been on the water so much. This is a great trip though, for someone who wants to see Venice from the water. Tomasso is a great captain.
