Venice S.lucia Station To Venice Hotels Or Viceversa

Our water taxi did not show up. I paid for the taxi in advance, $182+. We looked all over, up and down, and back and forth as well as at the specified meeting place but he was not there. After looking for 40 minutes, I called Viator and said that we could not find the water taxi driver, that I was traveling with an 82 year old and two 76 year olds, and that the water taxi driver was not there and we would have to make alternate arrangements. At that point, we now had only 22 hours left to spend in Venice before returning on the train to Rome. Viator called the water taxi company, who then called me. He stated that he called and texted me to confirm that morning but I did not respond. I told him that it was not stated that I would have to confirm that I was coming when I booked the tour and that my advance payment should have been confirmation. I did not have consistent phone service on the train from Rome to Venice and did not receive any info from him. He was very rude. I asked him over and over if he was at the dock and was he picking us up, and he said we were a no show and he was not coming. I made other arrangements at the dock and ended up paying $60 euros instead of $182. I am expecting to receive my payment credited back to me, since I did not receive the service that I paid for. I stated this also to the Viator representative when I spoke to her.

First time in Venice and did not know that water taxis would be readily available. We pre-booked and the captain was a half an hour late. Very disappointing. No need to book in advance. Plenty of water taxis available.

The boat was nice and the transfer was easy. My only complaint is that we had to wait 20 minutes in the heat for them to arrive once at the dock. I was in communication from when the plane landed so I would have expected that to be more coordinated. Otherwise all was good.

Very efficient and timely with plenty of room. Even got a little tour of Venice on our way to the train station.

We had a fantastic day and Francesco was absolutely brilliant ! We saw so many sights and we learned more about the amazing history ☺️

They contacted me the day before via WhatsApp with the pickup time and a map to the pickup location. The next day, they were on time and called me upon arrival. Boat was super clean and comfortable! :)

Not willing to accommodate the traveler. Our group requested a private water taxi due to the size of our group and luggage. We asked to be taken to our hotel which had access to canel for drop off and pick up. On arrival we were dropped off a few blocks away and we had to drag our luggage on rough walkway. On our departure asked to be picked up at hotel which did have canel access. Water taxi refused. We then cancelled and the hotel called another who did provide the service we needed. For the kind of service that was provided I did not need a reservation and or pay in advance. There are many water taxi waiting at the St Lucia station to take you to your destination. I have asked for a refund from water taxi and am currently waiting for a response.

Quick and efficient and picked us up directly from the dock at our hotel (we were very centrally located and this was easy to do but not always promised).

Driver was over half an hour late to arrive to pick us up at the designated spot that he had texted me about 24 hours earlier and send several messages indicating exactly where we needed to meet him. He was also planning on charging us extra when I inquired about luggage space and wanted to plan ahead since we each had 2 bags a piece for our party of 5. This was not pleasant and the way we hoped a private transfer would occur. The people who took the bus waited less time. A private transfer unplanned was only $100 euros compared to over $200 for this experience. Not worth it!

Just had a problem finding where to meet him when we left the train station other than that he the driver was very helpful in getting an elderly person off the boat

This boat ride was adequate and did what we wanted - ride us to our hotel safely which the young man did.

Very easy and fast.Driver came right on time and reached out to me very easily ahead of the trip with all the directions

Although this was convenient, it took less than 10 minutes to get to our hotel by water taxi and was told it would take about 30. Not honest with us and way overpriced!! We could have done it for much less. $207.07 was a ridiculous price for this!

The vendor never came and did not communicate to let us know he was not picking us up. Emailed me 11:45 pm to let me know address was not accurate - after 1 hr of texting while on train to destination, he dropped the texting and just didn't arrive.

Wonderful experience and loved seeing Venice this way. Definetely would reccommend this water taxi tour.

We were met at the train station by Paolo who was very gracious and helpful. We will definitely use this again.

Our provider greeted us at the end of our train platform with a sign. She walked us to the spot where our water taxi was pulling up, we loaded and were on our way in minutes. So easy, so worth it!

Our driver (Francesca, I hope so), was very on time for us, was very attentive and left us on time at Venice airport. Thank you very much, excellent Service.
