It is a personalized experience but completely depends on the guide. We were shown some interesting things but nothing we were particularly interested in. We were a bit late because he changed the meeting point to an off the wall campo we could not find. We were bored after an hour and cut it short. I don’t recommend unless you’re into history and architecture.

Itinerary
See Venice through the eyes of someone who lives and breathes its timeless charm. This isn’t just a tour—it’s a fully personalized experience shaped around you. Whether you're drawn to quiet canals, hidden campi, or centuries-old stories, your local host will craft a route that reflects your interests and pace. Before your experience begins, your host will reach out with a few quick questions to help tailor your walk through La Serenissima. No crowded routes—just authentic stories, secret corners, and the Venice locals love. Here are some highlights and hidden treasures to spark your curiosity:
Begin your walk at this all-marble Renaissance gem tucked away in Cannaregio. Known as the “jewel box of Venice,” this intimate church is stunning inside and out. Your host will share the legends that make it one of the city’s most beloved hidden spots.
Step into a quiet square steeped in history. Statues of Moorish merchants guard the corners here, telling stories of Venice’s ties to the East. With your host, you'll uncover the Arabic influences woven into this peaceful neighborhood.
Discover Venice’s last remaining bridge without railings. A rare sight even for locals, this photogenic bridge offers a glimpse of the city as it once was—where bridges opened directly onto the water.
Wander through the Castello district to a peaceful lane leading to a hidden monastery courtyard. This tranquil corner of Venice is where locals go to escape the crowds. Your host will share the spiritual and architectural stories that bring it to life.
Follow this secret canal-side path to a little-known pier with postcard-perfect views of the Rialto Bridge. A truly off-the-beaten-path stop—ideal for quiet reflection and amazing photos.
Stroll along this calm waterfront promenade with sweeping views across the lagoon to San Michele and Murano. Your host will paint a picture of daily life in this residential area that few tourists explore.

Roberto our guide took his time in walking us thru the city and took us to the buildings and corners that only a born and raised for 70 years a native would know. The history thru the centuries of the republic some you dont read on Chat gtp. Would highly recommend Roberto to any one first or second time in Venice
What an excellent time!! Roka was exactly what we needed to show us Venice and Padua. Patient with my mobility issues always had plans B and C ! I can highly recommend him as the perfect guide to see an amazing city
One of the best decisions we made on this trip was to have a private tour of Venice led by Benedetta. She is very warm and friendly, and clearly she is passionate about Venice. Prior to our trip she was gracious enough to answer several question I had about the area and that helped me plan better. We had a really great time. Thanks Benedetta!
Benedetta met us at our hotel for a four-hour private walking tour of Venice. As a local (born and bred) Benedetta displayed a great deal of knowledge of the history and culture of Venice. We ambled around going where we wanted and seeing more besides. We’d opted for this tour on Day 1 of our trip, primarily to source inside knowledge of the sights to visit, how to avoid the queues and the best locations to eat/drink and take a ‘romantic’ Gondola ride. That evening we ate at a fantastic seafood restaurant (Al Colombo) in the quiet back-streets close to Rialto Bridge. The following day, we took Benedetta’s advice and headed to the quieter Jewish Quarter (Cannaregio) after a lovely Gondola ride in San Toma area. This tour was an excellent way to see the city at an easy pace and gain an insider’s knowledge of the city and its sights. Thoroughly recommended!
Amazing person to be around. Very friendly, very knowledgeable about the history and showed us the best spots ever!!
Roberto was great. Very experienced guide who really knew his subject matter, especially the history and culture of the city he had grown up and lived most of his life in. I spent two weeks in Italy and did daily tours and this was by far my best experience. Roberto provided a personal element to the experience that was unique.
We booked a private tour via City Unscripted.it was worth every penny. Our guide,Benedetta tailored our tour perfectly, based on our answers to the questionnaire the company sent us at the time of booking. Benedetta was on time, friendly and spoke excellent English. She was able to answer all our myriad questions about the city and its history. She was a fount of knowledge and made the experience all the more enjoyable. We always book private tours in cities we have not visited before as you get a much more intimate view of the place and although it is generally a more expensive option, you get your money’s worth.
Never did a tour like this and didn’t know what to expect but was really happy we booked with Roberto. If I could have I would have traversed Venice with Roberto our whole time here. He was informative but it was clear he loves Venice and wants you to see it through a local Venetian eyes. Thank you for the additional advice on where to go off the beaten path.
Great walking tour of Venice. Daniel did a good job of personalizing our experience. He had a great knowledge of the city and was kind enough to pick ua up at our hotel.
Maria was excellent. She was very helpful, and reached out before and after to answer all our questions. We had her private contact information and felt like we had a friend in a foreign city.
Amazing tour. Victoria was such a great guide, she showed us all the highlights of Venice in our time with her. It was fantastic to see and take it all in. She was so friendly it felt as if you were exploring Venice with a relative. Victoria was also quite accommodating , our train got delayed and she was very considerate in shifting our scheduled tour time and waited on us to arrive. Very polite and friendly, also felt quite comfortable with her during the tour. Will definitely recommend if you would like to have a great experience!
Really enjoyed this Secret Gems in Venice tour. Venice itself is AMAZING and so much to see and enjoy. After 3 days of seeing all the major 'tourist' sites, we embarked on this walking tour to see a side of Venice that we would have otherwise never seen nor even known to look for. We strolled down quiet streets and saw a beautifully different side of the city. I'd say we got to see more of what the locals would enjoy. The neighborhoods were charming and the local restaurants were full of locals just enjoying their daily routines. This was a very relaxing and very enjoying thing to take part in. What made the walk the most special was our host: Benedetta (Bene)! She knew the streets to go on, she knew the local neighborhoods well, and she also knew which turns to make to see beautifully stunning places that we would have otherwise walked right past! To make it even better, the whole time we were walking, Bene engaged us with conversations and stories about all sorts of Venetian things. We truly learned so much! Additionally, after the tour, Bene gave us the BEST recommendation EVER for a local restaurant to eat at for dinner. It was not full of tourists; it was full of locals. The food was AMAZING and the service was over-the-top. It was our last night in Venice, and what a way to end the trip. Thank you Bene for everything you shared with us. We had a FANTASTIC time and I would highly recommend taking this tour. **Be sure to ask for Benedetta!!!** You will not regret it.
This was an absolute disaster. We paid $400 for this private tour, and our tour guide “ghosted” us with zero communication. They would not respond to phone calls from Viator staff, they would not answer my messages on What’s App, and they wouldn’t answer emails. This is a complete fraud, and they ruined our day. As I write this, I’m expecting a full refund. If this company has any backbone at all, they’ll at least make it right and issue my money back. If I don’t get it, I will be livid. Do not buy from this company!!
A personal experience with a person with a direct and personal connection to the place you are visiting is always the best. Roberto was that and more. Helpful, insightful, gracious and flexible. He showed us so many of the out of the say, hidden gems of Venice. It was a side of the city that most tourists never see. Thank you for your insight Roberto
Roberto has lived in Venice most of his life. Roberto was right on time, very personable and full of the history and culture of Venice. Great tour of part of Venice that’s full of hidden gems as the tour says Highly recommend!
The private tour was very nice a personalized. They worked with me on time and itinerary. Some of the stops were a bit high pressure sales, but overall a very nice experience.
Fantastic half day with Davide. Like exploring on your own with no schedule or guide telling you what to do but an expert on hand for advice, information and insights on all the little details. Venice is a truly wonderful city and there are so many small details and hidden gems off the beaten track it’s the perfect place to have a private guide taking you where you want to go, moving at your pace and keeping you informed all the way. Thanks for a great introduction to this wonderful city, Davide.
