It was not clear about where to meet the boat at the Venice airport. The boat then dropped us off far from our hotel and gave us a map for us to figure out how to get to the hotel. I could have had this same level of poor service by using the public transport and I would have saved a lot of money.

Booked a transfer specifically because I was arriving late and did not want to worry about transport. The provider did not show up or pick up the phone despite multiple attempts by myself and Viator leaving me with 2 poor options - a private transfer at 200 euro or a 2 hour water bus. Horrible experience.
Reserving a water taxi ride into Venice was a great savings through Viator and was a beautiful way to be introduced to the city. We arrived in Venice at 4:30 pm and went to #71 desk to sign in. We waiting for about 1/2 hour till other customers who were reserved to be on our boat arrived off planes. Then we took the walkway to the loading area on the water and boarded our assigned number water taxi boat. The boat captain loaded our bags and we were seated. It was a beautiful evening and the buildings on the Grand Canal were all lit up. It was magical! The boat captain dropped each of us off near or at our hotels.
Perfect way to start a lovely holiday! Wish I had done this before.
We had an enjoyable 5-hour tour to New Murano Glass and Burano Island where we saw a lace making demo. Our guide Elly was entertaining and informative. Her suggestions for dining and photo opportunities were great. The wooden boat ride was a nice bonus.
i was double booked, please refund 1432690097, thanks we used # 1432207923...ok,,,thanks for the help ,,,please refund the double to my credit card and email results
shared the trip with 3 other groups. We were the last to get dropped off but still only took about 40/45 min after leaving the airport. I enjoyed the extra time in the boat, great way to make an entrance. Great value, I would book this again.
Easy process. Exactly as they said, got to booth 71 as you head to the water taxis. Had to wait about 10 minutes while all the folks for that taxi got there. Note that it stops in multiple places. We were going to the Hilton Molino Stucky and we were the last to be dropped off. Took about an hour. Driver was nice.
It’s a bit faster than Alilaguna, and the price is not excessive, but the water taxi driver was more than a little rude. I understand that Venice gets overwhelmed with visitors, but being outwardly rude is a step too far.
You will have to wait while they try to fill the boat, it was way overloaded and cost us over an hour of wasted time, complete rip off.
Soooo relaxing, quick and fussless way to get from the airport to hotel. Was simple instructions once landing to getting back on land to locate the hotel. The captain was pleasant and simply got on with things. Would 100% recommend and would do this again. Well worth it!
Easy and fun - go yo the kiosk and get your ticket - only waited about 5 minutes - would recommend 😁😁
Great way to get to hotel for a fraction of the money.
The check in desk at Marco Polo airport was very difficult to find. The wait time for a boat assignment was acceptable but once we were told where and when to board everyone was forced to wait on the dock for at least 25 minutes until a driver showed up. Upon reaching the dock for our hotel we were forced to jump several feet from the boat to the dock which was nearly impossible for an 80 year old man like myself. Very disappointing experience.
I think our driver was just having a bad day. Rather rude , but got us from point A to point B. Office personal very nice
This transfer from the airport to our hotel is exactly how you should enter Venice. Everyone was helpful in the process from getting to point A to point B and they give you a map with your end location highlighted. The driver will even tell you from the drop off point where to go if you arent sure where to start going. The only major thing to note about this transfer is to watch your step as you enter the boat - the currents make getting in a bit tricky and the entrance to where you sit is low, so you'll have to duck down.
We were very pleased after an overnight flight to find this transfer location easily within the Marco Polo airport. We waited about 20 min to board. It was an added perk that our accommodation ( Pensione Accademia) has its own dock and the boat transfer was able to take us directly to it. It was well organized with the grouping of other passengers for drop off. I highly recommend this boat transport.
Great experience and the best way to arrive. Make sure you read the email as you need to collect the tickets and it states quite far down on the email where from.
Booked this to save a late night scramble to understand Venice transport. Advertised as waiting time of no more than half an hour - waited almost one hour. Lots of us shoved onto a boat to minimise cost to company, despite the amount we had paid. On boat, other passengers wouldn’t move and one of my party had to sit outside in the night cold without coat etc. Driver wasn’t interested. Better to spend five minutes working the transport out yourself!
Super easy and no trouble finding meeting place. Short wait before boarding water taxi to wait for all arrivals, but well organized. More comfortable than public water bus.
This was an easy and affordable way to get from airport into Venice. Also, it is a fun and exciting way to get a first glimpse of the Venice canals. When looking for the desk, just remember that the street level floor is the ground floor so the first floor is really up one level.
Dependable, Comfortable Transfer. Drop off very close to our hotel, Palazzo Cendon. Will use again and refer others.
Avoid pre booking transport from marco polo with Viator!! Just buy your ti ket from waterfront cheaper and easier
Our plane was delayed. We used the message service to let provider know. No response. Arrived after midnight. No contact at all. Had to make other arrangments to get to venice. Tried to use refund on the app as we didnt use our voucher. Not able to contact anyone.
Meeting place was not clearly identified and the equipment (glass) was not working, tour itself is okay
Came in at night from the airport. Easy to find desk and to get down to the dock. Beautiful ride into Venice on the boat.
It was very difficult to find which dock to go to. Other than that, no issues. Ride was quick to the dock near our hotel.
We arrived by plane for our first cruise from Venice. We decided to see Venice for a couple nights. We had booked transport ahead of schedule on trip advisor. It was very easy. We grabbed our luggage and exited the baggage area, followed the signs for water taxi and at end of inside of airport is a desk that is clearly marked. They were very helpful at the desk and assign you a water taxi and tell you which dock to go to. The walk to the dock is at least 1/4 to 1/3 of a mile so be prepared. The driver calls your name and affirms your drop-off area and off you go! Would definitely do this again!
Waiting time was a bit long. otherwise everything was fine. The travel was otherwise very good with a nice water taxi.
A magical experience. And relatively affordable considering the cost of the Alilaguna service. I travelled with my 8-year old son, who found the first bit slightly scary but wonderfully exciting once we got to the Grand Canal. Highly recommended.
The other women that were on the boat were making the same comments that he should not be in this position. He didn’t like his job. Your ad says one carry-on and one checked luggage that’s all we had with our personal belongings and he was rude. dropped us at the wrong place making us walk over multiple stairways with the luggage that he was angry that we had so I believe it was intentional. My children are adults with down syndrome. I had three with me. It was a nightmare. It took us almost 2 1/2 hours to get to our location where you had mapped out a straight shot for us to be able to walk. I will not recommend this. I expect to get compensated. This is crazy. I have a picture of where he could’ve dropped us and we would’ve walked one straight little line and he said he couldn’t and I showed I have photos.
We had a short wait for the shared water taxi, but it was a reasonable, cost effective way to travel from the airport to Venice
Small boat so not overcrowded. Left us at a dock where we still had a distance to walk but lots of people with suitcases trying to find their way.
Very easy transfer, we waited just about 15 minutes at the counter 71 waiting space before the taxi operator picked us up, there were 4 couples sharing the ride, and we were the first to get dropped off at San Marco station where our hotel was located.
10/12 minute walk from terminal to dock. Six passengers rather than maximum four advertised. Lagoon was choppy, so fast ride was very rough; don't even think about it if you have back, joint or mobility issues, or suffer any degree of travel sickness. My wife struggled to get off at the private landing with the boat movement in the chop. The driver was impatient & tried to manhandle her off the boat, completely traumatising her & hurting her knee. Eventually he reluctantly moved 20m to the vaporetto stop, where she safely disembarked. Dreadful, painful & humiliating experience for both of us. We'll be going back to the airport by public transport; safe, smooth, simple & a tenth of the price.
Easy to locate when you exit the airport. You will be paired up with other patrons and they will prepare the route accordingly. Very well run operation
We expected to be taken to our hotel. We were not. We were dropped off at a station without word or direction on where our hotel was. Venice is challenging to navigate as is. Took us 2 hours to go .2 miles. Had to pay a roaming porter (who happened to see us with luggage trying to open/ find our way with Google maps, Waze, etc.) 40 euros to get us there. Very misleading ... our "private water taxi" was packed, but would have been worth it if we were dropped off closer to our hotel.
Not easy finding meeting spot in airport. No clear signage. Give better directions . Once that is done, it is quick. Trip into Venice is easy
It's 10-12 minutes from terminal to dock. We shared with four other passengers. The lagoon was choppy so the fast ride was rough (I sail regularly - this was genuinely fast & rough); don't even think about it if you have back, joint or mobility issues or suffer motion sickness. The choppy water made it difficult to get off at the private dock. The driver got very frustrated and tried to manhandle my wife off the boat. In the end he relented and we went 20 metres down the canal to a public vaporetto stop where, traumatised, she was able to get off easily. We're going back by public transport; smooth, efficient & a tenth of the price.
The notation in Viator says you can ask for a different drop off but they would not accommodate otherwise good experience. Very helpful handling luggage
Good ride. A little difficult to find check in booth. Would book again.
It was lovely experience but i gave it 4 stars because even though the boat area is signposted we didn't know that we were supposed to collect vouchers upstairs beforehand and it was hard to find help When we did get help everything was great The trip was fun
This was easy to navigate. When we arrived at hotel, we ended up forgetting a bag on the taxi. Contacted them thru chat and driver called with time to meet at same spot with our bag. Fantastic service!!!!
The boat was full but there was seating for everyone. We waited at the seats in front of the desk about 10 minutes for everyone scheduled for the transfer. Pricing was reasonable. The boat made multiple stops but the ride was smooth and comfortable. Be sure to check in at the company’s desk 71 before you reach the moving sidewalk on the first floor. It’s an easy way to reach your hotel especially if your hotel is waterfront.
This is a better choice over the water bus...the water bus makes a lot more stops making it not worth the $ savings...better to get where you're going after a long flight!
Be aware that the signage for the meeting place is not very clear. The name of tour operator is not displayed. Look for the red flags that say "Tours".
Great way to enter the city and the boat drops you as close to your hotel as possible! We use this company every time we visit.
It was excellent. Right on time, helpful driver, clean boat, fast trip to hotel. Nothing else to say about it
Reasonable price for a classic taxi boat from Marco Polo airport to Venice. Great driver who was very friendly and helpful
You may have to wait for the boat to fill. Make sure you know exactly which stop you need. Can be quite choppy
