Our tour guide was just so knowledgeable, kind and friendly. She kept us off the “busiest” streets, emerged us into the life of a local Venetian and has been such a highlight of the journey to Venice

Campiello dei Squelini is a charming small square in the Dorsoduro district of Venice, near Ca' Foscari University of Venice. Its name comes from the Squelini (or Scudeleri), artisans who produced and sold ceramic bowls, jugs, and other pottery. Archaeological excavations have uncovered remains of historic kilns, highlighting the area's craft heritage. Today, the square is known for its peaceful atmosphere, decorative fountain, and colorful mosaic artwork.
Campo dei Frari is a historic and vibrant square in the San Polo district of Venice. It lies in front of the magnificent Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, one of the city’s most important Gothic churches.
Campo San Tomà is a charming and intimate square located in the San Polo district of Venice. Surrounded by historic palaces and traditional Venetian houses, it offers a quiet retreat from the city’s busiest areas.
Campo San Polo is the second-largest square in Venice, located in the lively San Polo district. Known for its open space and historic atmosphere, the campo has been a central hub for markets, festivals, and social gatherings for centuries.
The Rialto Bridge is the oldest and most famous bridge spanning the Grand Canal in Venice. Built in stone between 1588 and 1591, it is an iconic symbol of the city, renowned for its elegant arch, historic shops, and stunning views of the canal. Today, it remains one of Venice’s most visited landmarks.

Wonderful tour to learn fascinating things about Venice that you wouldn’t know without a knowledgeable guide. Highly recommend!
Very informative tour. Alice knew a lot about the area and history. Tour took us through a lot of back areas not used by tourists where we were able to see a lot of hidden gems and avoid busy areas.
This tour was fantastic! Gianmarco, the tour guide, was both friendly and very informative. One of the things I really enjoyed was we went through an area away from the main tourist spots. I learnt a lot about Venice and have found some tucked away places I will take my husband (who is working here this week) back to so he can enjoy them as well.
Just a perfect time . Valentina was vivacious, friendly and very knowledgeable. She made it enjoyable and interesting for both adults and children alike. The best introduction to Venice for my family but still informative for me who has been to Venice many times
It was a very good introduction to venice with lots of curiosities about the city! Flavia was very nice.
Started on time with an engaging and knowledgeable local. A small multinational group. Interesting content.
Very informative. Easy to book. Easy pace ending in St Marks square. We would book again with the same tour guide - Irena
A great way to see and hear all about the best bits of Venice island. Great guide, very passionate about her part of the world and gave us some great restaurant tips.
We were excited to head out on the tour, so turned up to the meeting point on our booking and tickets an hour early and waited until an hour after our guide was to meet us. No show. Pretty disappointed. Checked location with our travel agent who confirmed the meeting location.
Our waking tour was fun, informative & interesting. We always like to start our city break with a walking tour, it’s a great way to learn interesting facts about the city, get our bearings and discover what we would like to visit again during our stay. Thanks
This was a lovely tour in a small group. Our guide Julia was lovely, she gave us lots of information, regularly checked we were all OK. Gave us details of places to eat that were a bit more off the tourist route. Very knowledgeable and good to know she was local to Venice.
Great experience. We got to see and learn so many unique things about the city. Ana the guide is from Venice so she’s very knowledgeable about the city.
Valentino was so lovely and made the tour super fun and informative. Met some lovely people whilst on the tour and started our holiday in Venice well. It helped with finding our way round going forward.
Good behind the scenes look at Venice from a person who grew up here..learned things we would have never known.
We had a great time during this walking tour. Valentina was knowledgeable and fun. She was friendly and inclusive.
I didn't rush into this review as I wanted to properly reflect on the experience. I've done a handful of similar walking tours across different European cities, and this one was comfortably the worst. That's not to say it was bad, it just wasn't as good as those others. It all started when neither of the tour guides (there were two tours running at the same time) had my name on their list. After confirming I had indeed booked I was allocated to one of the two tour groups. Had I been given the choice I would have picked the other group purely because the guide seemed bubblier and much more engaging than the guide leading my group. We were taken through the streets of Venice, stopping occasionally. There was never really much time to take photos without running the risk of losing the rest of the group. We also missed out on visiting places listed, such as the Marco Polo house, nor did we even enter the church which doubled as the starting point of the tour. The guide herself was friendly, very chatty, and tried her best, I just wasn't feeling it in the same way I have elsewhere.
Flavia was excellent! Very nice and very knowledgeable! I highly recommend this tour to families with children over 12 years old.
I have done over a dozen walking tours across Europe, and this was by far the best! Valentina was extremely knowledgeable, relatable, and funny while conveying the history of Venice. Would highly recommend!
Annelise took us around Old Venice in a small group and helped us navigate the crowds while fielding our questions. She was friendly, informative and helpful the entire time. We would certainly recommend this tour!
Excellent guide who showed us many parts of Venice we would not have noticed on our own. Good introdauction on the first day we were there
Val was great. She was knowlegeable and gave great suggestions for dinner. The tour is done with an FM device and headphones so everyone can hear whether you are in the front or back.
Tour was great, good history and little known facts about venice. Overall great tour, time went by fast.
Genny is smart. And Knowledgeable. And Funny. So helpful. And spoke perfect English. Such a great guide Highly recommend!
An interesting tour where you get a good insight not only in Venetian highlights but also in its daily life of now and in the past.
Amazing guide with good explanation of venice, overall good experience! Good job, well done Cheers! Venice is truly beautiful
Gulia was just delightful and full of information. She was happy to answer any questions our group had. Highly suggest this tour.
Our tour guide, Gianmarco, gave a personalized and informative tour that I’d recommend to anyone visiting Venice. We went alongside another couple, which resulted in the tour having an intimate environment where we could ask as many questions as we could come up with. While Venice is a relatively large city, Gianmarco made it feel small and digestible. Would 10/10 go on this tour again if given the chance!
It was good to have a historian as a guide, informative your. The guide was a local which is an advantage to take all the little hiden passages around the city
Valentina was a great guide - giving a tour of the many famous landmarks and history of Venice - but also the not so famous and more quirky landmarks and history - she also allowed us to ask many questions and didn’t mind running over time because we were all so interested. Highly recommend her - she was really good.
Valentina was delightful. She shared interesting facts and information, was always open to questions and kept us entertained throughout the tour. We were fortunate to have a small group and were able to dive deeper into questions and local history and enjoyed a lot of laughs. We learned enough to feel very comfortable enjoying Venice on our own the next several days.
Daisy was an excellent tour guide! The walk was so informational and focused on not just the history but the everyday lives of the Venetian people. She took us places we didn’t even know existed. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves knowing more about the places they visit.
We did the tour on the first day we arrived in Venice which proved to be a great decision. It was a great introduction to such a unique place. Our guide was wonderful, very nice and personable and gave us the perspective of a Venetian living nowadays in Venice, as well as a huge amount of historical context for everything we were seeing. We had a pretty small group so it felt quite intimate and the tour was very helpful to decide what we wanted to see next. Highly recommended!
Good 👍👍👍👍👍👍 Tour guide knew there stuff and made interesting and gave list of where to good to go 😀
Great walking tour to see and learn things you wouldn’t necessarily experience. Daisy was so knowledgeable and a great guide.
Daisy was so informative and interesting! We loved falling in love with Venice on this walking tour on our first day in the city
Our guide Valentina was really friendly and knowledgeable, the tour was beautiful! I recommend it!!! Thank u Valentina!
Denise was the best tour guide ever! She is a native Venetian, so it was great to hear her stories about life for the people who call Venice home. She is also so knowledgeable about the history of the city and all the beautiful sites we saw. The gondola ride was a lot of fun. My wife could not stop taking pictures. This has been the highlight of our trip to Italy.
Tour was informative . The guide did a good job of guiding us and describing some history or tidbits around Venice.
Our guide Daisy was so informative, no question went unanswered. She took us to so many places we had not discovered in our previous days of navigating and getting lost so many times even with gps. Daisy took our group on the tour navigating with just her local knowledge. She was awesome, very friendly and welcoming. If you have the time, it’s well worth the walking tour
Valentina was the best guide and the tour was really fantastic. Touch the must important attraction and also hidden place.
What a fantastic tour. Lots of Venice information from Gianmarco, a local guide. Was interesting and well worth your time
Pros - Small group, good guide, different places. Cons- lots of standing and not going into any buildings,
Great way to start off our time in Venice. Denise was wonderful. She made the tour fun, interesting and was engaging the entire time. Although the tour was bigger than expected, Denise had no problem keeping everyone together and she was able to answer any question. Highly recommend!
Lovely host who was well informed and delivered content well. Well time managed and very courteous to all those around.
Guide was good but did not PROJECT when speaking ; no radio headsets means these groups shoulld be 10 at most ; we had 15
Our guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable and we saw and learned a lot! We recommend that the tour extends beyond 2 hours. We felt rushed walking and we did not have enough time to take the pictures we wanted to take.
The guide was knowledgeable and pleasant. Overall a good experience. The guide was able to impart interesting historical information about the development of Venice. The tour did not include all of the places included in the itinerary. Some of the participants were asking extraneous questions. The guide did not know how to deflect them, and thus the pace of the tour was somewhat slow.
Our guide Julia was very warm, friendly and helpful. Although we didn’t see a lot of the sites or attractions, we were glad she didn’t spend time hurrying along, pointing to this and that and overwhelming us with sites we couldn’t keep up with. Since it was our first time to Venice, we very much enjoyed her explanations of how things worked in the city, the water wells, the high and low tides, the refuse disposal (oh dear!), and the struggles of local people, especially the younger folks. She also shared a bit of her own story, which we enjoyed and made it feel a bit more personal. We would recommend this tour, and especially our guide, Julia.
Valentina was a wonderful guide. A thoughtful, and knowledgeable detailed tour of the history of Venice. We were a big group and she made sure to have all included and not miss a thing!
