Great experience learning to make pasta with Sebastien. He met us nearby his apartment and we went back and learned a lot about making pasta. As a Venetian, he had interesting insights on the city and cooking. He has a beautiful redone kitchen with spectacular views of the canal which made the experience even more special. I would recommend this tour to any one interested in cooking and looking for something a little different in Venice.

Experience the heart of Venetian cuisine with a unique bigoli cooking class in a warm, authentic Venetian home. Bigoli, a thick, hearty pasta made from whole wheat or buckwheat, is a true local specialty with a history dating back to the 15th century. Unlike other pasta, it’s traditionally extruded through a bigolaro press, giving it its distinctive texture and bite. Guided by your host, you’ll knead the dough, use the torchio bigolaro to shape your pasta, and learn tips to make it perfectly every time. Once your bigoli are ready, you’ll prepare a simple yet flavorful sauce to enhance their natural taste. Finally, sit down and taste your handmade pasta, paired with a glass of fine local Venetian wine. This hands-on experience is rare in Venice and perfect for travelers who want a genuine culinary adventure, off the beaten path.

Besides the food being delicious, the place was very special. At someone’s home on a little ranch with memorabilia that speaks volumes about their kindness and uniqueness. They really made us feel at home and showed us real and authentic love for food. We almost missed our flight because we didn’t want to leave. We will be back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our cooking class with Antoinette. It was a small group of 9 altogether and we had a nice rapport. We were surprised how long it takes to knead dough to the right consistency but what fun. We also made a delicious bruschetta. We watched her demonstrate and listened to her friends translate. Her hospitality was wonderful with a mid-class snack and a sit down meal, much of our own making, with wine and a take home treat. It took place in a delightfully decorated cottage behind her home outside the walls of Lucca rather than in a restaurant as originally stated. Would highly recommend.
Brilliant day thank you so much ladies fabulous 😘 Wonderful experience and delicious lunch great setting
An experience I will cherish forever! The location was beautiful and our host and teacher was excellent! Such a lovely warm atmosphere and great food!
Antonietta and her lovely translator made our group-of-two cooking class a memorable experience. The food was out of this world, and so fresh with many of the ingredients directly from the garden! The drinks added to the fun. The relaxing chat during the meal made us feel right at home. And the pasta cooking tips were invaluable. Thanks for a great lunch! A cooking class with Antonietta and her Lucca team is most highly recommended!
Five of us joined two others at Antoinetta's home. We were greeted with coffee and felt immediately welcomed. We cooked, ate, drank, laughed and had a wonderful unique Italian afternoon with our host, the chef, her translator and assistant. It was truly the hightlight of our trip to be part of this fun and unique experience.
Class was super informative and great. The cook was helpful and the final food was exquisite. Bon appetite
Wonderful experience, with the nicest hosts and the most amazing tradition italien food. Would love to go back!
Antonieta and Piero great host and great set up locate near Lucca fantastic city the class was well prepare and make you feel that you are home. I never though to make pasta was so easy and the taste is sensational highly recommend. Great host and great chef thank you Saludos
Spent the day in Lucca. Had signed up for a private cooking class for nine of us with Chef Cristian. OMG…cannot say enough good things about this experience! We had to re-schedule our class at the last minute because we had car trouble and they were very accommodating! Arrived at the restaurant the next morning and they had a room set-up in the back for us, near the kitchen. Cristian and Andrea were our instructors…we made a “torta di pesche” (peach cake); biscotti and several different pastas. The class was 3 hours and afterwards we ate the fruits of our labors. They served the pasta family style and we got to try three different sauces: pesto, ragu and tomato...all were amazing! The staff is fabulous as well. Highly recommend the class, especially if you like to cook. They answered questions, gave “secret” tips on how to do things and really gave us a feel for the local cuisine. Bon Appetito.
A wonderful cooking experience! A hands on day of making egg pasta and sauce out of local ingredients. Once all the cooking was done we sat down to a lovely Italian lunch with more food and drink than we could consume. Chef Antonietta was and excellent and patient teacher.
Antoinetta is excellent chef that is accredited by a top Italian University for traditional Tuscan cooking. We learned how to use local ingredients to make a terrific meal and then had a family dinner with Antoinetta and her team. This is highly recommended. We loved the experience and will go back again.
The arrangement for our cooking class changed from a chef in a kitchen to a rural farm kitchen with Antonietta. The experience was different that what we expected, but was still awesome. The warm hospitality of Piero and Antonietta in their beautiful farm was excellent. Great lesson, amazing food. Just a wonderful day

course was amazing the chef was incredible and the meal we had with all the freshest and most amazing local ingredients was even better! top class.
I would of live to learn to make the different masters tho, we only learn to make one variant, which is the base for most but would of loved to make others

What a wonderful experience! We had so much fun learning to make pasta. They took so much time to explain each step, and to show us exactly how to do each one. But, they let us do it. We were hands on. And, we cooked and ate it all in the end. Yummy! We have a memory that we will be us for a very long time!

It was really fantastic! The people and especially Antoinetta care about food with heart and soul. They absolutely make sure you have a good time. It may be just making pasta, but there are all kinds of things on the table and you don’t have to eat anymore at night. Absolutely just do it! I just can't recommend you do it through Tripadvisor. Really bad communication and they gave no address and the wrong time. Called and then I did. It wasn't the course, super!
