It’s advertised as a 12 tasting with 5 stops but we only did 4 stops and the last stop was the gelato stop and it’s all with fish which wasn’t in the details of this food tour as we don’t like fish. It’s the worst food tour we have done of 20 food tours we have done unfortunately. We got no historical information from the tour guide. All in all a very disappointing experience and everyone in our group shared the thoughts and not worth the money.

Itinerary
Join us for an unforgettable food tour of the Cannaregio Quarter in Venice! Your passionate, English-speaking guide will meet you near the iconic Teatro Italia, a symbol of Venice's rich artistic heritage. In an intimate semi private group, you’ll explore the enchanting hidden alleys of Cannaregio, stopping at 4 carefully selected eateries to enjoy 9 tastings.
When exploring Venice, keep two key words in mind—cicchetti and Bacari. Cicchetti are delicious bite-sized snacks, and Bacari are charming local wine bars where these treats are served. At our first stop, your expert guide will take you into a traditional Bacaro, where you'll enjoy cicchetti and discover the secret ingredients behind crafting the perfect Venetian Select Spritz.
After a short stroll through the charming Cannaregio neighborhood, we’ll arrive at our second stop. Here, you'll taste another round of locally crafted cicchetti. Alongside, enjoy a glass of ‘ombra’, a classic small glass of Venetian wine, as your guide shares fascinating insights into Italian traditions and culture.
Next, we’ll make our way through the bustling Strada Nuova, a vibrant street filled with shops, bars, and historic buildings—a must-see on any Venice food tour.
At our fourth stop, fully immerse yourself in the warmth of Venetian hospitality. Enjoy a delicious sit-down meal featuring some of Venice’s finest traditional dishes—choose between pasta with squid ink, battered codfish and polenta, or parmigiana alla melanzana. Let the rich flavors unfold with each bite. This stop is your chance to truly experience Venice’s culinary soul in the most authentic way possible.
No Italian food tour is truly complete without artisanal gelato! At our fourth stop, your guide will take you to a top gelato shop, where you'll discover the secrets behind authentic gelato. Learn about seasonal flavors, what sets gelato apart from regular ice cream, and put your taste buds to the test sampling 2 delicious scoops.
As the tour wraps up near the charming Rialto Bridge, your guide will be happy to share insider tips on other must-visit spots or advice on where to grab a water taxi back to your hotel.

Great food tour of Venice all the way around! Our guide Daria De Lazzaria was fantastic! She was born in Venice. She knew all the ins and outs of this beautiful city. She brought us to places I never knew existed. She was sweet and kind to all of our group. She even did extra so that one in the group had a food allergy was accommodated. She was humorous and kept the group involved. I wish the tour lasted longer cause it was fantastic! Thank you Tour Guy! (Tour Young Lady in this case) Thank you Daria 👍! Sincerely, Dan B
We had a great tour around Venice and left with full bellies. Highly recommend this tour.
Amazing food and gelato, great way to get a taste of Venice
Great guide! Clear and interesting explanations of venetian food, history and culture.
It was mostly amazing and a wonderful experience to do again. I did this last year. One recommendation - offer another choice instead of just the squid dinner dish. Not everyone loves fish. Other than that, it was perfect.
We had 6 people in our group so we could ask individual questions and experience the tour in a more personal way. The stops were supported by great places with very friendly staff. The food was good., however I would have liked to experience a true Italian pasta dish with a homemade red sauce for our sit down. I can make creamy risotto at home.
Had a really nice evening with the host Marta (hope I've spelt that right!) Lovely food and drinks & Marta was really informative about the local food, culture & history of Venice. If you're thinking of booking DO IT!
Had an amazing time. Chantelle was amazing and gave a lot of insider information. Would highly recommend!!
Chanti was absolutely amazing!! She went above and beyond! She truly set the tone for the night and made it an unforgettable experience- it was the highlight of our Venice trip. I would recommend her and this tour to anyone!
Excellent knowledgeable local guide that made the walking tour & dining evening a very enjoyable experience.
Great tour! Recommend to anyone coming to Venice.
Did our tour with Elisa, she was absolutely amazing very knowledgeable and very easy to talk with. 10/10 experience.
Chantal was amazing.!!! So fun and knowledgeable. The food was fantastic and the walking between venues was perfectly coordinated. Highly recommend Chantal and this tour!
Chantel did a wonderful job. We would book again.
Alisa was an outstanding guide who was very knowledgeable and a native of Venice. The locations she selected were fantastic.
Our guide was great!!!! The first several stops were great …. Local cuisine and wine if you’d like. The main course was a choice between clam or vegetable with risotto….. that’s it….. very underwhelming. I was expecting more. Dessert was great also.
Elisa was very warm and welcoming, very attentive to different dietary needs and tastes. She set a very comfortable pace for the group, and was always full of love for her city.
Eleeza was an excellent guide. Friendly, passionate, knowledgeable and helped us enjoy our tour immensely. Also, have a deeper understanding of the Venetian culture. Highly recommend.
Small group, good food, quick history
Guide was awesome and a great experience
Tour guide Olympia was great. Good personality and helpful. Very knowledgeable. Able to answer all our questions. We enjoyed her conversation and the various food and drinks along the way.
And very friendly and easy to work with, nice food choices, and drinks were plenty
Our guide Olympia was very knowledgeable and funny. She shared a lot of interesting details about her city and the food.
Yummy food, great drinks fabulous guide. Lots of fun. Possibly more walking than anticipated. Highly recommended.

Had the best time on this tour! Highly recommend!
Tour guide, Elisa, was super friendly and delightful. Great way to experience Venetian food.
Lovely evening with Elisa. Enjoyed the food and company.
Incredible time spent with family. Elisa was amazing, welcoming, and intelligent. Wish we could do it again!
Elisa was amazing! Our tour was fantastic and she was the highlight!
The tour was great. The food was very good. Our tour guide provided us a great experience. There were opportunities to connect with the other travelers which added to the memories. Our tour ended with great fanfare with rain and hail! Luckily our last stop was yummy gelato which was across the street from a store that sold umbrellas!
Good food and drink. Lovely and pleasant guide.
Marta was so sweet, informative, and did an Excellent Job!!! Thank you Marta!
Our tour guide was a wonderful local woman who educated and informed us as we traversed from restaurant to restaurant.
I loved the food and the tour guide was the best absolutely loved her!!!
Met at Despar Teatro Italia. Guide was Daria, a local who grew up in the sestiere of Cannaregio and took us on a 2.5 hr tour of the sestiere on foot stopping at a select number of places eating typical Venetian cicchetti, gelato, Spritz and a sit down dinner. It was an intimate group of 5 people plus Daria. Atmosphere was very friendly. Daria know her stuff. She didn't just talk about food but also gave us a surprising amount of knowledge of the city generally. Tried Baccala Monticato, Gamberi con Polenta, Spritz (Select), several cups of Prose Artichoke heart, Rissotto con Vongole at da Bruno (really good), ordered a litter of locally produced right from the jug at wine at Rimani Venezia for less than 5 euro (they sell other stuff too) and capped the day with gelato at Maison de la crepe. Daria also pointed out other good local spots that we couldn't make it to on the tour. Would love to go on another tour with Daria. Just note the tour company voucher may give you different information on what to expect. The voucher said to expect someone in a red branded shirt and a sign, when that wasn't actually the case but I dont think that was on Daria. She was wonderful. We sat down at most places to eat but stood at 1 or 2. The walk wasn't bad even given the excessive heat and humidity, in total just under 3 miles or 4.5 Km/5000 steps. Most of it on the narrow streets and alleys, so out of direct sun exposure. I would definitely recommend. Worth every euro.
Daria our guide and she was great. She was a local who grew up in Venice and gave us a rich experience in the local cuisine. If you want to try foods that go beyond the tourist locations at St. Mark’s Square or foods/drinks that would not normally know to eat, this is a great tour.
Very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide (I believe her name was Olivia). Talked to everyone on the tour and got to know a bit about us all. Also shared a lot of knowledge about the local history - very informative
Our tour guide Olivia (sorry if misspelt) was great, she told us a few extra story’s about venice itself and some history
Had a wonderful first evening in Venice. Tried great food off the beaten path. Do this tour, you won’t regret it!
Daria was amazing! So kind and knowledgeable! We really got a sense of Venice's history of their food! She was very funny and engaging! Would 100% reccomend!
Was an amazing experience!!!
The tour was great!!! We actually missed the first stop bc we could not get our water taxi tickets from the ticket machine (the office was closed at that time), so we were late and missed the first stop. But it was still great, our guide was so nice and very helpful for us foreigners in town! The food was delicious and it really makes it easy to taste the good food without worrying about where to go or what to order (because menus are daunting). Fabulous, would def recommend!
Our tour guide Olympia was AMAZING!!! Knowledgeable and wonderfully engaging. The food and drinks were also delicious but Olympia, really made the tour extra special and memorable. Great tour highly recommend!
Nice tour, informative and friendly guide, food was tasty but limited compared with other food tours in Italy. Example, There were 3 couples and we had to cut up and share the small starters between three.
Grazia was amazing! Very impressive and interesting tour.
A great food tour with a lot of local tidbits thrown in.
