Our tour guide was Vanessa. She was friendly, very knowledgeable and so Much fun to be with. Had wonderful discussions and tried some Incredible food spots. Kosher restaurant for some appetizers and wine, then a kosher bakery treats, more delish apps and Drinks, then onto a lovely restaurant for Fresh made pasta followed by gelato. Can’t say enough good things about it!

Denys was a wonderful guide who took us through the Jewish ghetto and Cannaregio Quarters with great insight. He shared fascinating information about the areas rich history. Each tasting came with a story and everything we tried was unique and absolutely delicious. Bring your appetite. This tour is flavorful and not to be missed.
Do not schedule this tour on the Sabbath. One stop for the apertifs would have been sufficient. Tour guide was very good: knowledgeable about "things Venice"

A thorough history of the Ghetto, and the food was great. My wife needed to miss the tour due to a health issue; Vanessa went above and beyond in helping, by including unscheduled pharmacy stops and by providing for samples I could bring back to my wife. Her care and support were/are much appreciated.
Over all I had an excellent experience. The food we had was awesome, the choses were things I dont think I’d have tried other wise. This tour also had an historical element. Doing a deeper dive into the history of the Jewish ghettos truly enriched my understanding of Venice. Would totally recommend!!!
Such a great tour. Vanessa was the best, she is so knowledgable about the history of the ghetto. She speaks without a script, just sharing what she has learned through her studies. There is also plenty of great food and wine so come hungry. Vanessa also helped us with other information about Venice, we really appreciated the opportunity to talk with her.

Vanessa was an amazing guide and we were so lucky to have her all to ourselves. This is a fascinating tour of the Jewish Ghetto and Cannaregio area with wonderful food! Vanessa is very well informed and answered all of our questions. It is an emotional place to visit and we learned a great deal about the area. The last stop for gelato quickly became our favorite gelato place in Venice!
Absolutely LOVED the tour, both culturally and gastronomically speaking, and Vanessa was the PERFECT hostess & guide!! Not only did she share her incredible knowledge of the interwoven histories of the Carneggio area and the Jewish Ghetto, but she did it with empathy, grace, style and humor. She provided an incredible human bridge that made us look deeper than the tourist layer of Venice! Also on a personal note, Vanessa was very understanding of the needs of the group and adjusted the pace to accommodate those who ran a little late and the one (me!) whose level of fitness indicates too much time at a desk over the last 3 years. A big thank you to Sylvia who was our tour guide. Be sure and ask for Sylvia as your tour guide because she is an art history major and also has been raised in Venice. So she knows both the art, the history, and just the local establishments in Venice. She took us to four restaurants. Be sure and do not eat lunch! This is a lot of food. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Could not of had a better time anywhere else in Venice.
As I have been many times on the "ususal" touristic paths through Venice, I was hoping to discover a different facette of the wonderful city through this special tour. And my expectations were exceeded! Only a few steps away from a busy main "street", the Jewish quarter presents a quite, original Venice. Despite the tragic aspects of its history, the quarter is home to young families and "normal" citizens of Venice. Consequently, all places we visited to taste the food, were deeply rooted in the local community and provided original dishes truly rooted in the local neighbourhood. Our guide #Maria Paola Gemma was very competent, caring and showed a deep passion for the histroy and stories of the quarter. All in all an ecellent tour highly recommended for everyone who seeks a more "original" Venice.
Our guide was wonderful. Jewish Ghetto was quite different from the rest of Venice, quiet clean serene. Come hungry!
