This was a great way to see and learn about Venice. Our tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable. He even showed us a great place to get gelato!

Itinerary
The itinerary shown represents the 7:30 pm route. The 9:30 pm tour follows a different route, starting near St Mark’s and continuing toward Rialto. Private tour itineraries are personalized and may vary.
Off the Beaten Path: We’ll dive deep into the heart of Venice by night, wandering through its enchanting maze of narrow streets and hidden squares. The most magical part of Venice is its unpredictability—sometimes, the best way to explore is simply to wander aimlessly and let the city reveal its charm.
The Most Beautiful Hospital in the World Instead of a father-son Sunday soccer game, sculptor Pietro Lombardo and his sons created a high Renaissance polychrome marble façade for the Ospedale di San Giovanni e Paolo. Completed by Mauro Codussi, this masterpiece is breathtaking at sunset or night. The magnificent lions of St. Mark guard the entrance, while trompe l’oeil details captivate the eye. Today, it continues to serve as a public hospital.
An Equestrian Monument with Deception: Bartolomeo Colleoni’s bronze equestrian statue is one of only two public equestrian monuments in Venice. Commemorating one of Venice’s most loyal mercenary commanders, Colleoni served the Republic of Venice from 1448, occasionally switching sides when dissatisfied with pay or promotions.
Ponte dei Colafelzi This picturesque bridge is a hidden gem in Venice, offering a beautiful and peaceful spot to pause and admire the canal views. A perfect place to reflect on the beauty of Venice’s lesser-known corners, away from the crowds.
Pantheon of the Dogi Known as "San Zanipolo" in Venetian dialect, this church was designed to inspire awe with its vast interior. For centuries, it served as the final resting place for Venice’s rulers. The church’s stunning 15th-century stained glass and 25 Doge tombs make it a site of great historical significance.
Santa Maria Formosa and Spiderman: This beautiful campo marks the boundary between Venice’s tourist-heavy areas and its more authentic, local spaces. It’s also the setting for a thrilling moment in Spider-Man: Far From Home, where the superhero saves the bell tower from destruction.
A Final Magnificent View of Venice Highlights Piazza San Marco at night is serene and almost empty, offering a stark contrast to its busy daytime crowds. The square, illuminated softly by the lights of the cafés and basilica, becomes an intimate, tranquil space, making it a perfect moment to experience Venice without the usual crowds.
We begin at Combo, the former Convento dei Gesuiti, stepping out to admire the dazzling façade of the Church of the Jesuits. This 18th-century Baroque masterpiece will captivate you with its over-the-top grandeur and intricate design, impossible to fully capture in a single photo.

Had a wonderful time, enjoying the hidden gems of Venice at Night ! It was a beautiful evening and our tour guide was so personable and knowledgeable about the city and all of its historical attractions and special features! My husband and I had a wonderful evening and so enjoyed the magic of Venice at night!
Our guide, Valerio Coppo was very insightful. He took us back into the nocks and crannies of backstreet Venice. He explained the numbering system and front facade vs the back. How Venice once only had canals and no streets. At nite Venice is beautiful and more quiet. Nice tour!!!
I booked this tour about 6 weeks prior to our trip. On the day prior to the tour I was charged the full price, and then they immediately cancelled without any explanation. I sent the operator a message requesting a suggestion for a company that could accommodate 2 people and they sent me a link to their own site which didn’t have availability for over a week.
Talkative, communicative through WhatsApp, gave links afterwards, knowledgeable.
We cannot recommend more! Valerio showed us around Venice in the evening and pointed out things we walked past that had such a great history that we missed by just passing and not knowing! He was very friendly and knowledgeable, he made everyone feel very welcome and made sure everyone was included! We learnt so much about Venice on this tour! It was fantastic! Also would recommend taking children if you are unsure. Valerio was fantastic with the children on our tour!
I would definitely recommend this tour and Valerio as your guide. The tour took us through the backstreets of Venice for a couple of hours from 7:30pm, where we discovered hidden gems definitely off the usual tourist track. Valerio was funny and very knowledgeable, being a local person, and revealed lots of surprising information about Venice and the other islands. Brilliant!
We had a great experience strolling through the lesser known and quieter streets of Venice. Great information about the city and its past.
We wanted to do a tour of Venice and booked this tour through our hotel and we were not disappointed. The guide Volerio was incredibly knowledgeable, had a very pleasant manner and took his time explaining everything to us. This was a great way to spend our last night in Venice. We would highly recommend this tour.
Our family of 5, including 3 teenagers, loved Valerio's tour. It was informative & entertaining. Valerio also had some great suggestions for places we could go after the tour & restaurants to try. A locals suggestion is priceless in a city packed with restaurants that all appear to offer similar. Definitely recommend Valerio.
Trip through the not heavy tourist part of Venice. You get the feel of the real life here now and in the past. Guide really knew his stuff.
Valerio did a really great job. Was very informative and knowledgeable about Venice. He definitely knows the area very well.
This tour was super interesting to see some hidden gems never to be found in Venice. Our guide was very interesting and accommodating.
Highly recommend the tour! Our guide, Valerio, was very accommodating. We were unable to make the initially scheduled date, and he allowed us to take the tour the next day instead. The tour started at 9.30 pm, and it turned out to be the best timing to see Venice in all its beauty, without crowds and with all night lights. Valerio was able to give us a tour full of history, interesting details that we would have missed otherwise, and made our evening very special.
Ok we were tired and it was hot so perhaps that's why it wasn't phenomenal, but overall we were disappointed comparing the TA itinerary vs what we saw. If this had been a free tour where you tipped at the end I would be fine with it, but it was $167 for 3 of us and it wasn't great. Highlight was seeing the venetian hospital with the hearse and ambulances parked in the water outside.
A wonderful way to see and experience Venice like a Venetian. Valerio is a local with soooo many insights as we explored and discovered hidden and neghborhood gems of Venice. This private tour is worth every penny!!!
It was a little confusing at first because our reservation was in limbo. But guide was great and very accommodating.
Sadly, after having looked forward to this for weeks, our tour was cancelled a few hours before it was due to start. The next one is a week later and we'll be gone
This was a wonderful tour! The guide was interesting, friendly and very knowledgeable. It was a rainy night, but Valerio made us forget about the rain with his stories about the places we were seeing and the history of Venice. I highly recommend this tour! It was 5 star all the way!
When we met up with Valerio, we were pleasantly surprised to find that due to another party's cancellation, we would have a private tour. This allowed us the flexibility to choose what we wanted to see from a few options offered by Valerio. Throughout the tour, he was both personable and professional. He answered our questions and added additional information. The tour ended at a local bar where we enjoyed a drink based on Valerio's recommendation of something "very Venetian." We loved our time with Valerio and will return home with fond memories.
This tour was very fun, and is especially good if you want to discover some more hidden parts of Venice. Our guide Kiki was very funny and personable, and had lots of entertaining stories with some contextual information to help us better understand some of the legends and history of Venice - 1.5 hours had passed but it felt shorter because it was so engaging!
The City of Venice is beautiful and the tour guide was interesting, entertaining and very knowledgeable. Great way to see the sights at a time much less crowded but still vibrant
Our guide Valerie was great! Knows his facts and knows how to make everyone part of the tour. He also made the tour interesting and fun.
This was Perfections. Had a rocky start but WOW the finish was Excellent. Just Full , funny and informative. Our Guide was Great. It is a walking tour so good shoes. Learned a lot. Ton of construction in the city so some stops had issues. Not the tours Fault. The City is Magical at Night. Do it if you can fit it In.
Great tour. Valencio was knowledgeable and engaging. Would absolutely recommend a walking tour with him. It was especially pleasant to do the evening tour after the heat of the day had passed.
Our guide Valerio reached out a few hours before our tour to let us know it might rain and not just a light rain and offered to change the date of our tour but we had only 1 day here so he agreed to let us cancel. We were SO grateful for the gesture as it poured rain and there thunder and lightning! So sad to miss the tour but glad we didn’t lose our money too. Will definitely rebook with him if we come back!!
Our guide Valerio was fantastic - knowledgeable, captivating story-teller, attentive and very helpful! Enjoyed every moment of the tour!
Nice Tour Guide, he got in touch via what’s app and made adjustments for me . I had to leave tour midway for personal reasons. You will enjoy the off beaten pathways he takes you thru .
Excellent tour. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Interesting to experience the quiet out of way areas. I would definitely recommend this tour!
Great trip! Exploring Jewish ghetto with Valerio. Wonderful guide, gave us good information and helped us to learn how to navigate Venice.
Valerio is a great guide, He was very personable and had really good information to help you learn your way around Venice. We would definitely book another tour.
Venue was changed last minute and the new one was 25 minutes away. I ended up missing the tour. Haven’t even been refunded yet.
Great guide, very knowledgeable and friendly! I would highly recommend him for any tours, especially the Venice night tour!
Our tour guide Valerio was wonderful !!! He was very friendly and informative. We learned many interesting things about Venice that I was unaware of. He even showed us how the tide was rising for the night and about the new system the city has to combat this problem. I discussed a series of books by author Donna Leon about a police commissioner that take place in Venice. He said he’s read them all and that a lot of people ask about the places in the books. Valerio was kind enough to let us borrow his bug spray since they were coming out towards the end of the tour! I would definitely take another tour by him😎
Extremely knowledgeable. Hands down the best thing we did in Venice. Highly recommend, especially if you want to experience the hidden gems.
Valerio was so knowledgeable, funny and interacted with all of the guests. He gave us a great recommendation for a restaurant afterwards, called to make sure they were still open and directed us there. Thank you Valerio!
Great experience! Valerio provided a great tour with a lot of extra information. At the end of the tour, Valerio provided recommendations for restaurants and bars then assured each tour guest knew directions to hotels. I will recommend Valerio to all of my friends.
We were extremely excited to go on this tour after reading the other reviews. But it started off a little shaky when the tour guide made the comment that “oh there you are, yeah, Americans are always late”. Actually, we weren’t late we were just standing on the wrong side of the patio because his instructions were weird. The places we went to were literally of no interest. Why go look inside the hospital building, granted you can see the gold gilded walls) why go look at a very small corridor between two buildings. Again not a hidden gem in my mind.. This tour didn’t reveal hidden gems and secret places that only locals would know about. The tour guide was certainly interesting and pleasant. However, we kind of wished we could have ditched halfway through and gone back to the hotel, but waited until we got close enough so we knew where we were so we could go . Maybe the tour company should set the tour agendas.
A fantastic tour through Venice! Get to know insights you won't find in any books, brought to you by a charming guide.
We did the night time tour in Venice, Highlight and hidden gems night tour in Venice, Valario was our guide and he was brilliant, one of the best tours so far!
We had a private night tour with Valerio to see the Highlights and Hidden Gems of Venice. He was very pleasant, knowledgeable and accommodating. We enjoyed his enthusiasm in explaining the history of Venice and appreciated his suggestions for additional sites we might want to visit. Thank you Valerio!
Valerio was wonderful and offered us many tips on what to see and visit even after the tour! He's a true Venetian and showed us the more unknown areas of the city. Would recommend!
The tour is wonderful! The group stays small so it’s personal and you get treated like a friend by the guide who is an absolute gem. He showed us so many places that would never have been visited otherwise and he shared so much local history and knowledge. He even recommended restaurants and helped me find locations I was looking for, not on the tour. If you are in Venice you really should take this tour
We did the night time hidden gems walking tour. Valerio our guide was excellent a Venetian with such interesting local knowledge. The pace of the walk was great and don’t be put off with the start time (10pm) it is a brilliant time to see Venice, quieter and a bit cooler. Highly recommended 5 ⭐️
We (I, my husband, our 11 year old son) enjoyed this Venice night walking tour. It was interesting for each of us. In the evening when there are less tourists, walking through Venice is exiting and romantic. Valerio speaks English and German excellent, this were very helpful for our son as he speaks better German. We definitely will advise this tour to our friends who are going to Venice.
Valerio was a wonderful tour guide and very knowledgeable. It was a very off-the-beaten path type of experience, which I really appreciated. It was fun to interact with him and to learn more about Venice during their nighttime tour offering. I highly recommend the experience!
This was a perfect way to start our time in Venice. We did see many, many places to go which are away from the crowds. Our guide Valerio was excellent, helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable. Just a small suggestion….it would be great to end the tour with a quick beverage at some great local place. Also it would be helpful to know about the mosquitos at night to dress appropriately. I would recommend this tour and any tour hosted by Valerio to others. We had a wonderful experience.
My Mom and I loved the layed back ease of this tour. Seeing Venice at night was spectacular. Our group went into the quieter part of the island and enjoyed being alone with our amazing guide.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, informative and a delight. He was very attentive to his customers. Made us feel comfortable and welcoming.
This tour was great. Valerio was a fantastic and knowledgeable guide, with something interesting and often funny to say at every turn. The details, history, and observations that we learned from him made the rest of our time in Venice richer and more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
